I just don't like that people use one account to be dirtier or whatever which falsely keeps their other accounts higher rated. If you want to use one for another region I'm ok with that but I think the ratings should be averaged for the profile rather than one dirty one clean one supergood FIA etc... get over yourselves or "git gudder" to keep your account at top R.
When you can just make another one the ratings mean NOTHING.
agree and disagree in equal measure - ever one to sit on the fence, me.
I'll be honest a couple of months ago I felt the same, back when I sat perennially on DR1 and had nothing to lose. Now I'm gitting gudder then I kinda understand. I'm happy to take the rough with the smooth mind. People make mistakes around me and damage my race, or I'll mess up myself. You know, it happens. I know I'm gud enough to claw back the DR/SR I lose from one or two bad races, so I'm averaging out to some extent, and that's OK by my book.
But, there are some combinations that are either just inherent wreckfests (mainly Race A), or are just no good for me (Fuji/Nordschleife). Which mean the slightest daliance in their direction are an automatic DR/SR down. The game gives you 2 options - Avoid them at all costs to maintaint your stats OR
race them and risk it all - unless you are particularly good or lucky, then chances are you're going to lose out.
The problem is, sometimes they are 'fun' to do. And it's a hell of a lot easier and less effort to use the in-game matchmaker of a Daily Race than go make an open lobby to replicate it. So peeps make a 3rd option and make a 2nd account, which they can use worry free of the consequences of carnage.
You create yourself and 'Arcade' account. And keep your main account for where you can and want to 'compete' to improve and take the game seriously for FIAs or whatever. I have no problem with them for that, same goes for an alt for use in different regions.
As for R4M/vengeance, secondary stats, or other nefarious means, I'm less comfortable. But each to their own.
