Havent tried the new events, but struggled a bit last week doing races B and a couple of race C. Lots of bumping and rubbing whit the Gr 4 at Suzuka, should have focused more on Gr 3 Still trying to get DR A (lost points in begging of the week, then recovered most of them over the weekend, so pretty much at the same point)

I´ll share a short vid of the first two laps of my last C race yesterday :) Enjoyed the clean battle

Lots of laps needed before I'm confident of not screwing up other driver's races on Sardegna, but I might give my only Gr.2 car (RC-F) a run at Autopolis.
I ran one lap around Autopolis. Seven seconds after the alien in top of the rooster. I know they will improve their time, but hopefully so can I. Might try a one stop in race C this week.

Race A I did a 2:08:XX, went into two races, felt like I fell into a pinball machine, lost my DR C, my SR 99 and my dignity.

Race B, usually where I camp each week, well, lots of laps to go before I dare run a race...

Still trying to get grips with the Epson NSX in hoping that my new livery can shine. Tried TCS 5, BB -5 (same formula I tried with NSX Gr.3), still some spins here and there, although less than my failure that was the Fuji Gr.2 nations race.

The Corolla race on Fuji is flat out boring, suspension is stock and even though the engine is tuned to dish out over 190hp, the car is still too slow for such a wide and high speed track like Fuji.

Comparatively, the 86/BRZ cup on Tokyo Central loop wasn't so bad because even though the cars were slow, the width and the sharp corners of the track would make the races interesting at SR S level and high up, you had to be on your A game to make sure you wouldn't hit the barriers and lose time.

I'll check the other races tonight, Race C looks promising.

I will miss Interlagos. I'm on the cusp of getting to be a A rankled driver for the first time so that means that I'm starting in the back. This race was a tough fight but I did great gains and really had to fight hard but gained some 7 spots in the end.

Not sure what you mean. Why do you think multiple accounts are bad for the game?
I was joking about the rain account, but I do have more than one account.
I just don't like that people use one account to be dirtier or whatever which falsely keeps their other accounts higher rated. If you want to use one for another region I'm ok with that but I think the ratings should be averaged for the profile rather than one dirty one clean one supergood FIA etc... get over yourselves or "git gudder" to keep your account at top R.

When you can just make another one the ratings mean NOTHING.

I agree, this was the most I have played GTS for ages, really loved the combo and was getting some good results. I am at home all week this week recovering from an op so hoping to hit Race B and C pretty hard this week as well.

Decided to check Kudos to see how my Suzuka quali time stacked up, by the end of the week.

1012th, of 53,762 total times recorded. Very happy with that. I feel I could definitely have taken another tenth off my time last night. But, a medical emergency with my eldest cat needed my attention more than anything else.

agree and disagree in equal measure - ever one to sit on the fence, me.

I'll be honest a couple of months ago I felt the same, back when I sat perennially on DR1 and had nothing to lose. Now I'm gitting gudder then I kinda understand. I'm happy to take the rough with the smooth mind. People make mistakes around me and damage my race, or I'll mess up myself. You know, it happens. I know I'm gud enough to claw back the DR/SR I lose from one or two bad races, so I'm averaging out to some extent, and that's OK by my book.

But, there are some combinations that are either just inherent wreckfests (mainly Race A), or are just no good for me (Fuji/Nordschleife). Which mean the slightest daliance in their direction are an automatic DR/SR down. The game gives you 2 options - Avoid them at all costs to maintaint your stats OR
race them and risk it all - unless you are particularly good or lucky, then chances are you're going to lose out.

The problem is, sometimes they are 'fun' to do. And it's a hell of a lot easier and less effort to use the in-game matchmaker of a Daily Race than go make an open lobby to replicate it. So peeps make a 3rd option and make a 2nd account, which they can use worry free of the consequences of carnage.

You create yourself and 'Arcade' account. And keep your main account for where you can and want to 'compete' to improve and take the game seriously for FIAs or whatever. I have no problem with them for that, same goes for an alt for use in different regions.

As for R4M/vengeance, secondary stats, or other nefarious means, I'm less comfortable. But each to their own.

You're mostly correct, but not entirely.

I hoping to get my main account to A+ someday, which is just a personal goal. I don't expect it to mean anything to anyone else. I hardly ever use that account. I started a second account to enter races that are fun, but I'm not really good at. I use it for a lot of Sven racing (the challenge of starting at the back). To me, it's for racing where I don't care about DR, not for disregarding SR. I also started an Asian account, just for the novelty of racing some new people.

The SR graph for my main account is by far the most atrocious of the three, although currently all three of my accounts are at SR 99. 👍 I haven't been using my alt accounts to be dirty. The account I mostly use (RPMcMurphy01) has been reset twice. Both times were completely intentional, and I didn't hit anyone to do it. Reason being, the DR was getting too high, and I was starting to focus on it, which made racing less fun for me.

I think the biggest misconception is that people are using secondary accounts to race dirty. I'm sure there are some that do, but they'd be in the minority.

Like I've said before, I don't give a rats ass what anybody else's rating are. It wouldn't bother me one bit if they stopped displaying everyone's DR in the Sport Mode races. Q times and SR is all they need to use for matchmaking.

These are my thoughts and opinions, only. I don't believe your perception characterizes me, but you're probably right about some people. :)

I only have one account but I don't have a problem with multiple accounts.

I used to get upset when I'd see a lower DR driver take points away, thinking they probably were an alt account. But then remembered my goal was to beat drivers better than me. Bottom line is I beat those drivers and I improve.

Overall I believe multiple accounts make driving better. Equals more drivers in general, more experience and I think the main motivation for creating an alt account is improvement. The opposite of this I believe would be less drivers, less experience and more frustration.

Tried a race C and for some reason, even though I'd done all my qualifying on medium tyres, the game decides to put me on hards at the start

Opted to pit at the end of lap 7 that worked reasonably well. Despite being spun out managed to finish 10th.

So it turns out I’ve never tried Sardegna B II before, got in a sketchy 1:22.3 so far, but there’s it still lots to learn. The AMG seems to work pretty well here though, BB+3 right now. :)

I tried the AMG as it's one of my favourites and the car I use in the Manufacturer Series. I managed a similar time to you and then jumped into the R8 to see how it felt and almost immediately did a 1:21.2.

I'm actually a little sad about it but the R8 did feel a lot faster through the corners.

I might go back to the AMG and see what else I can get out of it now that I have a better feel for the track. Hope you can find some more time!

On the whole multiple accounts thing. If there are people using a second account to be dirty that's obviously not okay. But that wouldn't be okay if they only had one account either. I have a second account that I use to practice my weaker combos. My aim as with my main account is race as clean as possible.

Jump was pretty good. The artistic skidmarks you left are outstanding.

Thanks, I’ve got nothin on this chick though.

I tried the R8, which I usually enjoy. But I couldn’t come to terms with it on this track for some reason and ended up going back to the AMG. Shaved off another 4 tenths to a 21.9 now. There’s still some fudge in that lap but I think the AMG will be my car for the week, it’s just so stable. Might try a few other FR cars too. :)

Subjective question then:

Which Merc is better? '11 or '16?

I’m using the Newer one I believe.

Though I’m testing the Porsche right now. :)

Sunday i will return home so i can't wait for next week dailies. I bet it'll use wet surface as i expect they want people to practice more.

It'd be carnage with Gr.1 or Gr.2 though haha
