I’m gonna take a break from the game for a while. I’ve quit the game last night and tonight out of pure frustration and that’s not how a fun past time should make you feel. If that’s what I wanted I’d play golf.

4 races this eve. 1 decent. That’s not a good enough average to keep coming back for more. Two vids below are fun. One I’m used as a skittle in someone’s GT version of a strike and then get a 3 second penalty for hitting a ghosted car. Then we have a bunched up grid start that is followed by 4 laps of everyone fighting over it. 12SR lost in 2 races.

Last race I made a fair but firm move on Suzuka hairpin. Body’s rubbed but no SR down, no penalty, nobody off. Next chance the guy rams me into next Christmas.

Alt account 👍

@RacingGrandpa, thank you. I'll check it out in the morning. :)

They put up new signs just for next week. :sly:

Haha awesome, saved!
Except who are you trying to fool, that's not the ring :odd:

I just did a couple practice runs by creating a lobby with the same settings. I'm 10 sec slower in the Lexus. I didn't have anyone to draft though, yet fuel management still seems the same, very tight. I did save a bit too much, compensates for starting in the pit instead of out in the country like in a race. Back starters need more fuel to make it even!

I too had to call it a night & just get ready for Big Willow. The pushing & shoving at Suzuka has soured even me. Plus, I can do some offline & online testing & practice for @Bivittavus88's endurance race. I have to psych myself up for that.

It's going to be an interesting one. A short test session with @Mistah_MCA tells me that we'll be getting lapped pretty regularly by the LMP1 cars.

You're definitely gonna be no-stopping?
I saw a dude run out of gas about 2 miles from the finish line.:lol::lol:

Good point, pit stop times are lower now. Guess I'll find out tomorrow if one stoppers can catch back up.
In the Vette I had to shift as soon as the bar shows to make it. McLaren should do better now, at least I think it got better fuel economy in an update. It was dead last last time.

Just leaving that here.

I raced a V12 Vantage in the 650S. First of all, 650S is still terrible on fuel, I had to short shift pretty much before the bar lights up at all. He went full out with a one stop, was 13.8 sec ahead when I passed the pit entry, still 2.5 sec ahead after. So only 11.3 sec lost for a quick splash of fuel. That's assuming pit times are the same now in lobbies and daily races. Needless to say, I never caught up lol. I was slower again in the 650S as last time, but not as much as in the Lexus, 5 to 7 sec slower.

So hmm, perhaps all cars are slower now or I have the settings wrong or last time was on medium tires. Or perhaps I'm simply slower. More food for a mega test next week, since now I 'have to' test each car with and without stopping

I guess the question is whether fuel saving costs 6 sec off your lap times to make it worth pitting. Start with 50% fuel for a lap, compare with full out with 60% fuel, compare times, one more test!

MacLaren, definitely pit or simply don't use. It's 11 sec slower per lap with fuel saving. However it might not be such a big difference with a car with good fuel usage. So some should pit, other's not. However passing is hard on this track, fuel save drafting easy, too many strategies. No stop will likely win or the odd one stop that can start on pole and build up a 12 sec lead in lap 1.

While the last races of the week are going underway. I'd like to post my personal best result of Race C here.
The 1:38.240 lap put me on the pole, then I just tried hammering down all the 39s. Satisfying in a way. :D

It's a surprise for me because I've never found that I can Handle the 4C. (after all the physics changes, finally :boggled:)

Using Scirocket and F1. No qualy for both. I'll probably pit with the F1, as I'll be doing no HUD.

Wish there was an old Gr.4 car, like maybe the Group A Calsonic SKyline R32. Would go with my current garage:

1971 Mach 1
1971 365 GTB/4
1971 Dino
1971 Pantera
1995 F1 GTR
----- Scriocco Gr.4

Oh my gosh!!!!
RAce C. First it was madness. T1 was fine. T2-6 were fine. Me and and another F1 made it in the top 10 after starting 12th & 14th. The F1 doesn't brake after it catrches air. It goes off and I can't slow down to avoid it. BAM! I hit it. I got hit about 10 times before hitting the wall(that's what it felt like). I'm back up in the top 10. I pit. Come out 12th. I'm all alone for the whole lap. At the final turn before the straight, an AMG slows from 10th. I take the spot. I 'm making my way to the finish and I get booted! Jimini CRIC-KET!

This, however, was effortless. Scirocket is stable, tight in the turns and, in race, faster than the META 86.

After a daily race(s) i checked my replays and stumbled upon a guy that i think i have seen race before. He abuses the penalty system whenever he has a chance. Over 3 race replays there was a clear picture of this dude being the worst kind of player you can have in a game like this.

He is at lvl 50, tons of races, 2000+ followers, very very friendly before every race, but he simply destroys other players races when he gets the chance.
So i made the needed videos on YT, but how the hell do i report him and his profile from outside the game?

Been a mixed bag on big willow tonight, 2 races I did great, lots of clean driving and fun racing, 2 races where I went on safari and had to recover. But those werey own mistakes and I haven't seen any kamikaze craziness so good for a Monday. Also got lots of cars in action and being successful, Megane, TT, Huracan, NSX and Scirocco all having it out with the 86. Leads to more fun as well as the cars are all better at different bits. Do have to say that the FF cars seem to struggle with the last turn and get a disadvantage down the straight. Megane and Vw are lightning off the start but after that I was reeling them in every time down the frontstretch

Have entered race C with no equally. 20 car grid, I start 10th. Still 1 no equally person ahead. Uh oh.

Edit: and it was a scrap. I was fifth by the hairpin lap 1. Cars everywhere, savage punting. Makes interlagos look tame. Managed to have 1 person get me 3 penalties in 2 turns. So I lost it and punted him to nowhere. He punted me later and finished ahead. Still a red S, but I managed to go from 99 to 76. On a side note you can cut straight across the grass at the first left right esses downhill on the GP track, punt someone off and give them the penalty. It happened to me at least. Back to the grind to stay clean and paranoid.
