Took the Mustang racing around the N24. I haven't noticed anyone else using it yet.
It goes well enough, well planted, not afraid of kerbs & a reasonable top end.
Had a disconnect before a race so took the opportunity to improve my QT.
Knocked a few secounds off it & started next race P1....Bugger, will I blow it again ? :nervous:

Only went & nailed it !!!!!

Fastest Lap & CRB thrown in

Downhill from here

:gtpflag:

Yep. It seems a lot of people are experiencing it. It’s been happening since yesterday

That's not really a big problem. The big problem is that we can't start races in lobbies - everybody gets disconnected after about 50-60s. Already had to postpone a private league race after we tried 4 times last evening. Today it happened again - so had some races at the N24 on my alt with the Hyundai. Pretty much fun when racing from the back, first race when I had a decent starting position(p8) was pushed out of the track at Coca Cola...

That’s pretty annoying

PD's finally acknowledging the problem and is "investigating" it.

The Porsche is a really nice car to drive at the Nurburgring but the gears are too long, once you get to the straight it doesn't have the top speed to live with the Supra's or any of the other popular cars.

Most of the first lap was like this behind the Toyota, then the second lap he swapped with a teammate in a Viper which was pretty much identical, quick enough to tuck in behind but as soon as you pull out of the slipstream it stalls out and loses speed. Started 5th, finished 5th (1 tenth off the Viper) with the clean race bonus, the most fun race without any overtaking I've had

I’m all in on the green hell this week. It’s gonna be messy. I’m probably gonna lose massive DR points, but sod it. I guess it’s just about not making mistakes.....

EDIT: Idiot number one encountered - exiting a penalty on the long straight so he waits to see which side I am going then cuts in front of me at the last second to get a boost. Gets himself a 1 second penalty but the loss of speed means 3 cars go whizzing past me. I hate people like that.

The penalty-exit-bump-boost really annoys me. I understand emotions, punting, payback and the like, but this move has nothing to do with the victim - it is crass opportunism. Of all the moves this is the one where I *remember* PSN names.

Had a few goes at race C again tonight. 2 really good ones, 1 where I drove semi sketchy and 1 where I just didnt have it in me. All in all a good night and some fun driving and racing. But the return of the bouncy cone physics is giving me a giggle most races. Keep catching up after scenes like these.

I turned cones off Sunday night in a practice lobby where they where disabled and didn't miss them so I have capitalized on others cone adventures all week.

Racing Daily B and having some fun with it, managed to get the RC F around in 56.6 (I hate the FF's and I don't care if I could bang out a 56 flat). Using the FR it creates a bit of an opportunity to overtake on the right hander after the sweeping S (and for the love of yourself and other cool drivers please don't attempt an overtake there). Obviously not too many overtaking opportunities barring first and last hairpins, but it is a small track after all just wait an extra 40 seconds. Off to the Nurb, godspeed friends.

I’m having the opposite experience today in race b. Lobbies full of dive bombers from over half a second back and thinking they’re top racers. Extremely frustrating when you try to race fair.

EDIT: next race completely different. A few A rated drivers mixed in and the best, most competitive and cleanest race of the morning. The B ratings are full of idiots

Haha I raced a few in B rated on my NA account and ran into a few dive bombers. On my EU account though which is low A high B now because... well it's tough to compete entirely without using FF, nothing too bad.

Good to see there are people enjoying the ‘ring. I am not one of them.

I tried another 3 races tonight. I am well off the pace, constantly binning it and ending up as a target for every nudger and punter in Asia. I appreciate the track and the challenge it presents, but without spending hours hot lapping to get up to speed it’s just a wreck for me.

I think I might be done with the dailies this week.

@RacingGrandpa

I was able to view that race! I like your message on the underside of the wing.
What’s Jula?
Man that was a fun one to watch. Great to see a Swede taking it to the German drivers on their turf. (I have a couple Swedish ancestors)
I watched a bunch of your in car, I really like your steering input. Nicely in time almost always. Max turn of wheel right at apex and releasing out.
At first I thought, he is going to walk away from the field but then things changed there at the bottom of the hill and it became a race.
Are you on wheel? Nice input modulation if you are not.
You almost caught at the end there, so easy to run s touch wide there before that second carousel if you are pushing.
Thanks for sharing that! Great race!

Yeah Race B is tough, jus nowhere to pass but T1 and the layout need absolute commitment through the awkward right hander which leads to a ton of incidents.

Never ceases to amaze me how guys faster than me have zero patience, it is a short lap, line me up for a pass into T1, but no, they try to pass through the esses .... good luck with that.

Doubt I will enter B as long as I’m maintaining my 99 on Nurb 24.
You might try the Viper on B though.

@sturk0167
This morning for coffee and qual I busted out the old neon Viper from way back you painted...I got within .001 of your Jag time with that bad boy...Replays shared.

Glad you enjoyed it! Jula is a Swedish company, if I am to compare it to something overseas it would be the company Tim The Toolman work for. They sell tools, work clothes and everything needed for home improvement. But cheap.
The livery is a replica of this car: https://juniorformulamotorsport.org/?p=13387

I am on a DS4. And I love the ring.

Race B has actually been really good to me today in the end. I think I was yo-yoing between lobbies as I was mid B rated DR. I managed to get it up to about 27k and then got put in a few all B lobbies but qualified with a 56.1 so was up front. Totally different experience then. From 3rd or 4th backwards they usually fight like mad on the first lap. If you are in the first two places then you pretty much get a clean getaway and have a private race for the win. Managed to get up to DR A off the back of a few podiums and then top 6 finishes in mixed S, A+, A lobbies with only 2 or 3 B drivers. I'm chuffed. It's taken me 25 days to get to an A rating, I just hope I can hang on to it because the racing seems to be much better quality - it's hard but fair. Other racers in general seem to fight like hell for the position, but have a much better understanding of when to pull out of the move and wait for the next opportunity. Had some fantastic races already in the better lobbies.

Only 3 races so far this week. 2 Race B and 1 Race C.

First race B was a bit messy, but my QT was not good enough. Then tried C last night with a decent QT, started 4th, snagged a podium. Worked on Race B QT this morning, still started near the back but finished up 5 spots. Decent races. Clean and fast. No connection issues for me.
