Been using the DBR9 in race C, but trying others. AMG was fast but lost it on bumps too often, R8 didn't like and the M6 was OK but I was so slow in it.
Trying the Corvette now and it feels good, maybe need to paint it red to be competitive. It did OK, about the same sort of times as the DBR9. Basically I really suck at this track and need to practice.

Ran some laps for both A and B. Just ran an A race. Pole position. Not paying attention, and let the P2 guy get inside in T1. Knew the spot was his, figured I might drop to 3rd even. Gave him room at the apex, and ciming out he gives a quick jerk to the left and puts me in the wall. No penalty, and I'm in last, 12 seconds down. Finished last, 4 seconds down. That's all for tonight...

Did 3 races in total today. Race A twice and Race B once. All good races. Super fun.

Saw @LeightonAVS in my last race. I started 2nd but I got knocked off. I did make it back up to 6th to salvage the race. Made it worthwhile.

Will probably switch to Race B & C for the rest of the week. Had to get Race A out of my system first. :)

Hit up the DBR 9 M6 R8 and Vette for some laps...
I’d only use vette or DBR9
Got the Aston in at 2:00.7 and the vette at 2:00.2
Shoulda had sub 2 in vette but couldn’t optimize...
Onward. I’m rollin DBR9! Both mirrors perfect from inside...Oh
Tried Ford GT too but have to slow so bad for the Dipper it’s out...

Edit: I've just done one race from the back in America, things are crazy there

I've done the Bathurst race I believe three times now and I've had remarkably clean races. I was really surprised because it's a twisty track, obviously, and it's early so people are still feeling it out but everyone was well behaved.

So far great experiences here in America I'm sorry you had bad ones.

Every single person in our group was rated S for sportsmanship. I know that sometimes that doesn't mean much but so far it's proven accurate

I didn't have bad experiences 👍. I like the crazy races like this, we were in a big group at the back racing close to each other for the first few laps then the different strategies/compounds came into play so those of us on fresh softs could make the aggressive overtakes

What an absolute garbage night of racing. Managed to get reset after I finally lashed out at a group of idiots and drive through them. I made silly unforced errors that put me with the animals and holy smokes, just got hammered from pillar to post. Guys are absolutely out of their depth at batburst, even srs guys, they don't know how to race there. Cannot believe I went a week at brands at sr99 and gained Dr and 3 races at bathurst I am reset. FML.

Qualifying wise, immediately felt the amg was good on the softs, really cures the understeer. Tried the corvette as it appears to be the meta but yet again, as always, meh. I dont know, especially on softs, what it does better than the amg??? Gave the db9 a whirl after seeing gf post very strong time and it is surprisingly fast, got within 4 tenths of the amg. In the end managed a 2.01.3, I have a sub 2.01 in me somewhere....maybe.

But FML.

I took the McLaren F1 out for a spin at Bathurst. It’s great fun. Nothing matches it on the straights and it’s not as bad over the mountain as I feared it might be. BUT, you still can’t push it too hard on the way down or it bites. The MRs get so unstable through the eases and the dipper.

I’ve also managed to bond a bit better with the Corvette and am finding it to be the quickest option now. Short shifting makes a difference but the real key is to use the oversteer at key corners like Griffins, McPhillamy and Murray.

I cannot tame the RS01 at all. Next session will likely be in the DB9 as it is getting popular and seems very fast in a straight line.

@GOTMAXPOWER I was just watching some racing videos before I went to bed and Basic Ollie was doing a stream at suzuka and he was complaining about how many great drivers were in his particular lobby and he mentioned them as well as calling out your name!

I knew you were fast but I did not know you struck fear in the hearts of the fastest racers

Tsukuba Top 10 Stars in Oceania, are showing majority Evo times. STI still on top though.

WRX, EVO, HURACAN, SLOPHY
What is Slophy?

I've seen this used several times and don't know what it means

I named it for its low top speed, when it first came out.

Ran Race B on the main account. No qualy in the Cayman. 15/15 and then 14/14, as a car dropped out. Lap 1, just before the PZ, a WRX gets t-boned. Ghosts in front of a 458. 458 slams in brakes. Evo ahead of me slams on brakes. I hit brakes, but hit the EVO into the 458. WRX quits.

458 gets 4 seconds. Evo 2 seconds. Me, 1 second. Ridiculous.

Passed the Evo and 458 after a couple laps. Finished 11/13.

Did the main for race C. No qualy. Just wanted to chill and go with the flow.

Had enough time to hop on for one quick race so decided to take a stab at Tsukuba. I would have jumped onto Bathurst if I'd had the time...

I used kudosprime to randomly select me a Gr4 and Gr3 car for the week. A friend of mine (ItsBlanksy) has been doing the same thing and I liked the idea, so I kindly stole it off him. And, unlike his luck there, I've had a pretty good draw of cars: this week I've got the Huracan Gr4 for Tsukuba and the AMG GT3 for Bathurst! I'm looking forward to the mountain in the Merc.

So, Race B. I had written this off as a puntfest, but I was actually pleasantly surprised! I was in a lobby of B/B, C/B racers, mainly WRX's in the top half, then a smattering of different cars like the M4, Megane, Trophy, RCZ, etc. I threw in a few qually laps and managed a 57:9XX, putting me in 12th. I got a great start and was up to 10th by the end of the first lap with a few scuffles and questionable braking by some of the drivers ahead. I had a close call with a WRX driver who used the "I'm faster than you, you will move out of my way on this corner or I'll force you off" tactic on the final hairpin, but I managed to keep enough track space to back off and not run wide without losing any time to anyone behind. My lap times were consistent mid 57's and a best lap of 57:2XX, so I know there's more in the tank for better grid positions. I ended the race in 7th, behind 5 WRX's and an RCZ, with a CRB and back up to B/A rank. Need to find time for Bathurst to really start working on my DR score.

I screwed up the pit entry and cost myself about 5 seconds. :banghead: That pit lane is an absolute nightmare.
In a league race I was leading going into the pits when the guy in second came barreling in at full pace, taking me out and making me reset onto the grid and missing the pits, needing to go on for another lap on sketchy tyres and only just hanging on to second - in the end I passed him on the final corner to take the win though, so karma came into play! It's a treacherous pit entry, that's without a doubt.

Can’t believe you got through that first race with a CRB. That was some serious (and unpredictable) traffic to be negotiated up the mountain.

Doing my best to stay out of trouble.

Edit: still no qualy. Whole room in the 55-56 range.

M4 is nice around Tsukuba. Strong under brakes into all turns. Can trailbrake deep into the final turn. Sharp turning and good acceleration at corner exits.

Renault Mégane Trophy. A MR race car detuned to gr 4

I'm loving Daily Race B. Getting some good racing out of it too such as this one.

And there's one instance where this guy who started in pole weaved all over the place and just braked very early and luckily I was able to react quickly and just overtook him just as when we approach the first turn.
