Still on a N24 high I went through my captured video footage to pull out all the (imo) undeserved penalties. I ended up with so many that I stitched a lap together from them. Here it is, a lap around the N24 made of penalties.

I raced a lot last week and avoided many many more accidents than those hits. (and a lot of passes from back to front) It's just easier to scan through all the videos to where the penalty time starts showing.

Awesome week regardless of those incidents. I started the week at 33.7K DR ended at 41.9K DR (and max SR), with a high of 44.5K on Saturday. Competition was tough last evening/night and a hell of a lot of fun. A couple wins during the week, many 2nd places and mostly top 5 finishes. All thanks to my stellar quali time of 33 minutes and change. Too much fun!

GT's penalty system : So! He lost 10 seconds getting bumped? Let's give him a 5 sec penalty just to make sure.

I have a Fanatec wheel. Happy to list full settings if you have the same wheel.

I can describe the change. My "go to" GR4 cars are the Evo and Atenza and I have a good wheel setting for these to cope with the AWD. This setting is a bit "spongy" so I don't feel so much understeer from the car as I turn the wheel. My assumption was this setting would be ok for the Lambo GR4 as it is AWD too. It isn't. The Lambo needed a much more direct setting, so I used the same setting I have for the Beetle GR3 - here the turn in closely matches between the wheel and the car.

Evo - brake balance +5 (1.37.199 - and I couldn't get close to that time consistently)
Lambo - brake balance +3 (1.36.917 - opt was 1.36.300, but I wanted to race and was happy that I broke the 37s)

No TCS on either car.
I managed a 1:34.1 in the Atenza, no TCS, I only did 1 race though the lure of the Grp1 cars on soft tyres at Monza was just too much.

I had a very good time this afternoon racing exclusively Race A.

My first two entries were carnage, muddled in the middle grid, squeezed shunted and punted all over the opening chicane. But what did I expect after coming out of last week's races at DR C & SR D?

This improved, however. I practiced a **** load and got my time to such a point where I was guaranteed a P2 in the grid, at least. Lo and behold, my opponents for the next few races were very competitive and usually ended up a clean battle between 3-4 of us right to the chequered flag.

Eventually after 5 or 6 tries I took the win and retired my efforts for the day.

Great fun.

My times were for RBR in GR4.

I think you might have been at Interlagos in the GR3 Atenza.

yes sorry :) Interlagos was the usual carnage...

Had 2 wins at RBR at the weekend in the Renault Megane Grp4

Nice one! I didn’t get any wins last week.

I didn’t try the Megane last week. In fact I don’t think I’ve used it for the sport races at all.

I find it very easy to drive with good top end. find it was just quicker than the Hurracan, which was the other car I tried round RBR

Loving race A this week. I have never driven this track layout before, but it's good fun, and the VW is just the right speed for this layout. 2 good close races, got a 2nd and a 5th.

I ran a faster lap in the race than in qualy, so I need to do some more qualy runs !

Race A: qualified 3rd, No. 2 quit before start, so I gained a position. Messed up the start (maybe I should start in 2nd or even 3rd gear - these are really short) and fell back to 6th. Managed to get back to 3rd by the end of Lap 2 (some exchange of paint particles and some loss of SR included). No. 4 was angry at me, bumped and divebombed me unsuccessfully (But again I got the -SR). Finally finished 3rd with a red SR.

Race B: Qualified 10th, lost it before Senna S and spun into a WRX - 4 second penalty for me which I served immediatly. So i was down to 17th. I kept cool and followed the field, passing all the hotblooded bickering. Finally finished 9th also with a red SR even though my spin was my only incident.

Overall: Gain of ~400 DR, loss of 10 SR. Not bad for a monday

I had one un-deserved win at N24 but some fabulous 2nds. Best one was when I had a decent gap behind me, and was sitting behind a Ford GT whose tyres seemed gone. He as all over the place but kept it on the track somehow. I thought I'd get him on the exit to the straight - but he ran wide to the left, hit the wall there, and so I went right and was going to cruise by. But he suddenly was right in front of me and of course, I hit him right in the backside. I slowed due to the impact and Neuton's Law, man he was then 1.2 seconds in front, and got the win. No penalties fortunately for either of us.

Drove Mustang in race without practice & for the first time in 6 months.
Bad idea - outbroke myself and rejoined circuit at turn 2. I didn't know if the penalty system was still ludicrous for corner cutting, so I just rejoined there thinking people behind would notice. Oh well, it's not often I make mistakes like that.

Congrats to those who can break into 1:30s. Only my theoretical lap can get close to it!

I love Monday’s now, New race day! I’ve done some laps on A and C so far, I didn't like B with Gr3 last time so I didn’t bother to try it this time yet. So far on Race A I’ve got 47.520 and on Race B 1:25.754, boy do the soft tires ever make a difference with the Gr1 cars, I can actually make it around the track haha. I think Race A is gonna be my race this week. I like short tracks, less corners to memorize. :D

Ok so I need some serious tips but how the heck does one get a 0:47 lap time on race A, I am not competitive at
all and not able to keep up with the other cars.

I have a time of 0:48.275 but this almost certainly nets me last place and during race I can only average 0:49's.

DS controller so if someone could post a lap or overall settings I need for this race it would be appreciated as
VW Sirocco is one of my favourite cars to look at but seems I am rubbish behind the wheel of it!

Try starting with TCS 2, then switch to 1 once you get going. Brake bias 2. These are guesses. I haven't tried the race yet, but these settings usually work ok for that car.
I only race on Thursdays and Fridays, but am looking forward to race A. I assume that when I do qualify, I'll probably shatter the world record. :mischievous:

Another week of fun in the race C. Banked a couple of wins last week at Nurburgring and already 7 wins today at Monza. I don't know if I want to say my recipe... Let's say, there's a Gr.1 car that nobody uses that is pretty effective in the long run for that circuit. The thing is, this car is not the fastest for the quali, so I set my lap with the R92 and use that mysterious car for the race.

This is my best lap so far, 47.520, I’ve tried taking that last corner 5 different ways now and I’ve gotten to 47.5XX a few times now but can’t seem to beet .520 so far. I’m using MT, No TCS and BB 3 to the Rear. I feel like I can get another tenth or two out of it but not much more than that. Hope it helps. :)

I finally did one race before then end of the night, only one other A driver in the field but after the first 3 corners I didn’t see him again, I had 4 seconds on him by the end but I mucked up the final corner and he gained a half second on me by the line. Oh well, I’ll take a Clean Dub anyday. :)

It's the Tomahawk isn't it

The Tomahawk and n2025 are also beasts at Monza.
In other news,
I FINALLY DID IT!
I won a sport mode race, in one of the sexy group c cars! Two races in fact, both with the R92cp donning a SEGA livery! The r92cp seems to be the fastest car around here, although the top end of the Sauber C9 is nothing to joke about.
I’m just proud of what I accomplished!
I’m glad to see the group c cars being competitive for a change.
@Pigems You’re gaining wins fast, mate. Too fast!
Edit: Wait, I just realized who Canada is. I’ve raced him! In that case, it’s definitely the N2025. Good job!

I have PS4 Elite setup, with V3 brakes and I use the Porsche wheel. But its not supported in the game, although it works. But the force settings work on any wheel I think ... i'd love to try some settings to find out the effects, I'd be very grateful for some help from your experience..

I have standard wheel and breaks.

1:32:487 for me at Interlagos...

I had 3 races last night and I think at least half the grid was in the atenza lol

Mustang for me.. :D
1:33,740 in the Porsche. Seem to be too cautious around the corners. That's only good for the second half of the grid among BS drivers. And back there there are elbows everwere... Unfortunately this time I happened to be one of the bad guys myself completely missing the braking point in T1 as I didn't see anything on a pack of 5 or 6. So I hit the guy in front of me but he seemed to catch his car quite well. Not me so I found myself in the wall plus 3 seconds penalty. But that's perfectly fair. Driving this bad demands serious sanctions. Re-entered track at the very end, managed to gain some positions but finally got shot of the track and finished last. Nothing to be proud of. Sorry to anybody who's race I messed up.
Last race went better starting second to last. I kept out of any trouble, passed the guys who didn't and finally overtook one guy serving his penalty halfway to the finish line. 6th position and a clean race bonus. So I somehow redeemed that awful race before. Los of 2000 DR, downgrade from S to A. Better next time.

My final race as part of the Asia/Oceania region before the split 👎
Started 8th, finished 5th in the McLaren so can't complain.

For the race itself, pretty sure the winner (started 3rd) is an aussie regional finalist leveling up an e-sport a/c; 2nd place started 7th and no-stopped on hards; 3rd place started 2nd but lost out in a 3-way battle near the end (and was using clutch/shifter); 4th seemed to hit the back of every car it passed and I caught him when he was burning of a 5 sec penalty on the racing line on the entry/braking zone of Ascari on the final lap! The driver in 7th was the pole-sitter (on Hards) but binned it at the second Lesmo on the first lap.

So far I've tried the TS050 no-stop on mediums (not recommended), RC92P on softs (fast for ~2-3 laps then mushy tyres), Tomahawk on softs (good pace, tyrewear and fuel), Hyundai N2025 on softs (good pace, tyrewear but not good fuel) and the McLaren on softs (OK pace, not good on tyrewear or fuel).

I think the 787B/RC92P could be fastest overall if you can manage and drive well on old tyres. HAven't tried the Pug 908, but it should be good on pace and fuel but tyres might be an issue and I don't think I own the LM55!

I kinda like the R92CP, but seems everyone else does to. 9 out of the top 10 cars in my latest race using it with the 908 on pole. I am struggling with tires though, any tips?
