I did 1 monza race and it cost me 15000 DR because a guy who gets videos of his fail driving posted in here all the time ran me into the sand on purpose. I've lost track of how many times I've been reset because of SR but if I had to make a conservative guess I would have to say this is probably the 600th time. I'm not mad though .. I'm calm, like a mountain.

I think first time after 3 months I rage quit. How the 🤬 they can easily bring 10sec penalty for brakechecking (me as victim), unintentional simple tap get 10sec too, go out in parabolica get 2 sec penalty. Now in B-B (27K - 58) should I wait tomorrow mix or just play safe on next morning to get 99 again? :confused:

If I don't get that penalty maybe I really much enjoy the race since that's only 2 or 4 incident in race.

I've noticed that when you tap someone's rear bumper if they're on the brakes YOU get the penaly. For you to have gotten 10sec they must'v brake checked you pretty good. :scared:

Monza DESTROYED my SR. From strong S to B in THREE races.. :indiff:

Due to stupid accidents like this fruit of the GTS "collision model". Cant say i wasnt being careful with the braking point there. :odd:




Also missing the 1st corner braking point due to changing shadows TWICE and getting 12+12sec penalty from that didnt help.. :boggled:

Edit: yes i know using shadows as brakingpoints is not smart.. :lol:

So I was the only one driving race A yesterday ? Last week for the first time ever I lost my S status to B status in one race where I did not much wrong. We have all been in bad situations. I have not. Was always able to keep SR S status. Did not race for a week.

Yesterday was payback time so I got back from SR 55 to SR 93. Not strange because i was put next to less fast and clean drivers. I managed to rocket sky high DR 35.000 and I got my 20 wins race bonus and 20 fastest laps bonus ! My poles are on 18 now so need only 2 more.

The best online day I have ever had, which feels nice directly after my worst online day ever !!!!

The track made me laugh though when I got squeezed going into the pit, one car on my left, one on the right. Guess who made it in lol. It gave me a 5 sec penalty yet couldn't stop laughing for the whole out lap

I wish the qualification trial mode showed the time left for race open/entry though, I get distracted doing laps and then I have to wait another 30 minutes to race because I missed the entry by a couple minutes.

I agree sometimes you focus so much in qualy it would not be bad to get a warning timer. Simple to implement. I guess no one had think of this ?

I use traction control on 2, counter steering assist on strong. Stick with one car you like and feel comfortable with and try to push that one car to the cars and your limits. Only then you will become better and refine you driving skills.

I dont think it is allowed to you use “driving skills” and “counter steering assist strong” in one sentence when teaching somebody how to drive ;)

@Greycap: I do not think it is nice you post a video here about the bad penalty system when everyone here can see you made a huge and awful mistake by intentionally blocking someone faster than you. Now it is bad enough that you complain about the system when you are to be blamed yourself. Everyone can learn from its mistakes. But you are not even responding to all the reactions. Why is that ?

Yeah, I started to play at 4pm and I hit that time around 4.30pm, I think I was 10th in EU board at this moment. But I see that some aliens decided to join cause I'm now 27th lol

Nice choice, but I bought Burnout Revenge so thats going on. Maybe races later on.
 
Race A is over 20% longer, time wise, than Race B? How odd

Race A is even longer distance wise than Race B, and Race B is in Gr.3 cars...

Wasn't so sure about the Raptor race as not really driven it before, should be funny i thought. So far got 4th and 2nd with a clean race bonus for my second race so happy so far. Probably get punted off into the sand next time.
Edit: Race 3 also clean am gaining around 5 SR per race. Just outside SR S now. Race 4 and finally back to SR S, finished 3rd and got 6 manner points.

Getting back to SR:S feels impossible nowadays. Anything under it is a dderby.. Only chances are being first or last. Doesn't really help if you try to avoid contact if others don't. I don't know if it's the system or the players anymore..

13 races of Lago yesterday and the last one gave me -44 SR.. Just as I was on the verge of SRS again.. :banghead: Now I'm in the pigstay again.
 
Dragon Trail Gardens in a Gr2 is interesting. Always amazes me how those cars stick in the fast corners, just a lift and drop a gear for the 1st corner is great. Never figured out the chicane after it though, so no idea if you can straddle the sausage kerb on the exit.

The guy ahead of me was in the 1:23's while I just scraped into the 1:24's, so loads of race pace to be found, if you are brave enough. SR back up to 94 as well :)
 
Apparently its best to straddle the sausage curbs if possible, i only had a quick blast earlier and kept getting them wrong especially the second one and end up on two wheels.
 
Anyone having dead steering at certain corners?

Keeps happening. I'm coasting in a hairpin, waiting to add throttle and the car keeps veering to the outside off track. It's not even understeer. The steering just doesn't turn the car. Adding brake does nothing to stop this.

I overtook a car for 2nd at Kyoto. The steering just went on holiday. I fell to 5th on lap 3 and got back to finish 3rd.
Good thing my Walked M6 is a rocket.

Just try your best not to ever hit anyone, and anticipate where people may hit you. Give people more than enough room, and don’t make any uncertain moves.

For example, on T1 on Nürburging GP, I was in pole position coming into the first corner on the first lap. I knew that although the cars behind me were too far to even think about making a move, I still have to anticipate the worst case scenario. I brake and turn in (paying attention to what those behind me will do), and what do you know I notice the 2 cars from way behind out-brake themselves and dive-bomb the corner. I give them more than enough room (I pulled my car to the left because they were braking into the corner toward the right), and just let them overshoot past me so I can cut back at the apex and re-take my position.

Although it’s annoying and they shouldn’t happen, you can always try to be proactive about those types of situations. 👍

So far I haven’t had any really bad experiences at all... well, aside from server issues, and MONZA... you really can’t protect yourself against someone ramming you from behind on that track! :odd:

Yeah, I know the Gr4 cars could do it but I wasn't sure about the Gr2 cars. I was the same as you in my quick attempt, ending up on 2 wheels, so in the race I just played it safe.

Sorry that’s happened to you, we’ve all been there. But the only way you’ll lose 44SR is by retaliating, so that’s on you. I’ve learned not to retaliate, just race your race, maintain that SR and you’ll enjoy yourself so much more.

I went between a 2 cars last night, there was a huge gap, I was almost through when they both side swiped me, I got 3 secs penalty from each contact even though I never turned left or right and both of the other cars turned into me.

Same here, i will do it for Q lap. To avoid penalty and not to unstable the car, i tend to go safe in the race.:cheers:

Yeh, I had that at the first chicane at Monza with the RSR. Normally particularly under coast is turns really tight, but for that one time it just wasn't turning, and I was crawling, not at any speed. It sorted itself out after that, but from your previous posts, this seems to be a recurring problem for you :(.
