10th and 11th (race a, yesterday), seemed to start a few mph faster, right on the torque curve. No real shenanigans there but an advantage nonetheless.

Ahhhh, Alsace in a low powered fwd. Currently 3rd on the eu leaderboard. That won't last!

So what's the deal with the Fuel Estimate when you do a pitstop, I pitted after 7 laps, took on fuel for 7.5 laps with 7 to go.. that should do right?
NO!? i should have put on fuel for 9 laps?
You probably used a lot of slipstream before your pit stop 💡

I don't trust the penalty flashies. Sometimes it'd show you someone got a penalty only for them to have no red dot in the end of the race, even if they are the culprit

It is so sad but true. I have experience that got pushed from behind. The game tell me I have 1s penalty while the one behind have 10s. His penalty light flash for the whole race and surprise me when race finish. I think it is an easier win just to follow him and not risking for any pass even have chance.

I understand that each PS4 make its own decision and thus the decision could be different from the remote PS4 because of time lag.
But this do not synchronised after some time. I mean if the remote side PS4 do not think these is penalty, there is no channel to update other PS4.

In addition to what was already said, I think it is much better to base it off the percentages as opposed to the 'laps remaining' as it is sometimes inaccurate, plus it varies based off fuel map etc.

If you went from 100% to 30% in 7 laps for example, then you have used 70% fuel, and if you pit and there are 7 laps remaining, you can assume you will once again use 70% fuel for the final 7 laps, hence you refuel from 30% to 70%. (Give or take, as you might use more or less fuel later in the race etc)

Also look at the other drivers fuel levels when they pit, if they used 15% more you probably saved fuel by either short shifting or slipstreaming. If you want to go all out after the pit stop fill up to what the others have been using.

A+, S... I’ve reported him, let’s see what will happen.

I regret even logging on to GT Sport today because of this disgusting guy.

Yeah, I've been in a few races with that driver too, most recently GR4 at Monza, and GR2 at Monza a while ago. As Alpha Cipher said, he uses the same tactic on the chicanes at Monza. There's usually contact of some sort entering the chicane, and because of that he just drives straight through without attempting to make the corner, thus gaining a huge advantage. He probably gets a (small) penalty for the original contact, but because it happens in the chicane, the game doesn't reset him when he cuts it.

The thing is, he is a very quick driver (well at least in qualifying)

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Don't let it stop ya from racing. The good races and drivers make up for it. I try to hold on to those moments.

Thank you for the encouraging words. :) You’re totally right, the good is far better than the worst..

yas
But why did you have to stick in there? He was on a penalty so all you had to do was remain within a second behind him. Yea, he was an ahole, but you really didn't have to take that risk.

I had a lot more momentum coming out of the chicane. He turned in so much earlier than the braking point. Otherwise, it should have been a fairly simple pass had he not made that stupid move on me to try to give me a penalty.

The penalty he got for cutting the chicane on one of the races at NürGP was only 1 second. I stuck behind him thinking it was more than that but I overestimated the penalty and he just managed to stay P1. After over 1,600 sport races, he’s certainly mastered the penalty system!

And yeah, his pace is not too bad. Shame he is such a 🤬.

I raced with him just before. Damn him for actually being a good time attack racer

Imagine him being invited to the GT World Tour...

Because of his Nation (assuming it's accurate) he could very well go if he's as quick as those guys say he is. However once he's there and does this kind of thing he'll get big penalties and I'd assume they won't make the mistake of inviting him again.

Luckily him getting a DR reset (and likely more if he always drives like this) might stop him getting picked anyway. ;)

Winner. But that not the lot of it.

Dollar, Dollars go to ladies.

Down to C SR because someone went in pits on last lap on race B.

Did race B. That was a fiasco. I put in what I thought was a pretty good qualifying time for me, under 2:10. I was the highest qualifying D... P12 .
The Grid was made up from P1 to P11 of DR/A and DR/B. All SR/A. I think I was the only SR/S there :dopey:.

I managed to get past the T1 quagmire, but not entirely unscathed. I was an orange SR come up as I was on my way to the third turn. I was doing well in about P5, and I had a guy next to me bashing into my side. I was thinking he was being a prat, but it took my tiny brain a while to realise that I was the prat. He was only partly on the track and I was stopping him from getting back on the track, so I pulled over to give him room. I then proceeded to find myself shunted into the sand by another driver and dropped down to P12. Got up to P11, but I had a 6s penalty. I tried to loose it and was passed by another couple of drivers. Finished P13. Haven't been game to see the DR drop but I'm now a SR/A :nervous:.

About the other guy: if multiple people just report him, it will go quick I would guess. Maybe he has just never been warned and has no idea about race etiquette. So he actually might not know he is doing unfair things if he is just a kid going for the win.

But plainly awful to look at that movie....

Tapping someone in the first part of the chicane to get a free shortcut on the second part, how could you assume that's the proper way to race! It happens on Monza as well, dive bomb, touch car ahead at the right spot, free shortcut. It's the penalty system at its worst and some people use it all the time. Apparently he mastered that move, nothing innocent about that.

He might not get a penalty at all. After contact the game doesn't dish out a short cut penalty if you do it right. It's the most blatant abuse of the system. He should be reported every race.

Well a horrible weekend on my DR it seems as I undid all the good work from Thursday and Friday and have dropped back down to
5136 / 95 (528 races).

I don't think I drove particularly badly as such in the weekend races but I guess it's just down to my experience of the tracks
and the cars, BB raceway yesterday with the Grb R rally cars I was able to hold the speed well on the oval but the sharp turn into
turn 1 I kept getting bumped and affecting my DR.

Had one race where I did finish second though so that was alright but Race C with the Gr4 at Miyabi I should have not entered
as I was all over the shop there in the 4C

The Golf race at Nurburgring was okay as I got a couple of 3rd places so my DR could have been a lot worse.

I have done QT for today but I'm well off the pace with 4 seconds difference to the leaderboards so not sure I will actually
enter any of them after work, what's the general times people are getting for today's races?

Well, had my first major DR / SR reset today :boggled:. Started at Nürburgring GP as a high A / S and it took five races to find myself in B / C. Got one penalty after a big mistake of my own, the rest was being punted and spun out four times at least in T1. This is no rant post, however, I wanted to ask for a little advice :
How do you guys and girls react when you find yourself in midst of a heated and somewhat unpredictable field ?
And how in the world do you defend T1 on that track ? Help very much appreciated :) !

T1 is at Nurburgring is always unpredicatable. My approach to the turn is to go as far left on that track and brake as early
as possible, then when the pack all fall off the corner or brake too late hopefully you will be able to make up a few places.

Also check your rear view before going into the braking zone, will give you a heads up if any kamikaze's approaching.

For Dr A driver like me how far down in SR can I go before the reset?

Brands has not been nice to me today. Well, most of it was my own fault:banghead:

I seem to be in a downward spiral :irked:. In the past my match ups were less balanced when I was high SR. I can usually only manage 1 race a night these days because my thumbs were "unhappy". My SR has been dropping with each race and with each race I'm getting matched against DR/A and B mostly, with lower SR. I tried to stem the tide by starting at the back for Race C.

I discovered that I'm not the slowest driver out there, and got mangled by people coming back onto the track or people who seem to think another car next to them isn't there. Down down everything goes. After trying the same thing with Race A, I was down about 1k or so DR and in SR/B. Hoping my thumbs would hold out I tried Race C again with qualifying. Again mostly DR/A and B. There were 4 DR/Ds. Qualified P14.

Pre-race comments and the guy at the back chimes in with "can you keep up with the best?". In reply to the "Lets have a clean race" default by someone, he comes back with "Lets have a dirty race". Yeh, you can see the tone of this lot .

The race starts and I get bashed around for a bit before the heard starts to thin. I had to concede a few positions in the name of not getting crushed, but still managed to get punted into the sand because I couldn't slow down after being rear ended 3 times by the same guy. Final result:

Stopped haemorrhaging DR and got SR up to A. Another day above DR 1 :D.

2 ratings below your DR I think so in your case if you drop to a C you will get reset to a B I think.

At this stage I would do race C but take it easy, let people past if you have to and stay on track. Probably lose a little DR but it’s better than a reset as that would lose you thousands of DR!

Another supercut of my race. Rather eventful 2min 24 sec video.

Ok, thanks. Have you been in my race just now? GTP_Venster or GTP_Vengard or something similar? TRL_AUGH was in it as well.
