Really good racing from the back to front. NSX got me to lap 14. Ran with a Mustang that started behind me. Just be careful of cars ghosting. That Mustang was ghosting with two Beetles for the meat of the race(about 7-8 laps). I just stayed drafting them and didn't pass until it was Me and the Mustang and one Beetle in 1st, 2nd and me in 3rd. They both pit and I caught an FT-1 on my coat tail.

After pitting, rejoined in 8th just behind the Mustang and Beetle crew. This is where it went wrong:
Those three were using ghosting through each other to keep inside positions at the turns. At about 3 laps to go, me and an FT-1 made our moves at T1. Thing is I went thru the Mustang, but the FT-1 didn't ghost. The Mustang and Beetle came together while trying to ghost the unghostable FT-1. Beetle came out spinning and the Mustang fell back.

Just me and the FT-1 in 3rd and 4th for the final lap. I used no braking for the final turn all race. The ME tucks in lively. The FT-1 takes an In out in line. I just went Out and stayed in with the inertia. Pulled the FT-1 to the closest of gaps at the finish.

No idea how people did enjoy Gr.4 at Maggiore yesterday.
It was a Megane Cup with the utterly stupid OP Trophy car. You either picked this one too, or you'll lose.
I tried one race with a Huracan and fuel saving....no chance! Ended up 14th with 14 Meganes in front of me. Second race, I joined the Meta scrubs and got easily second. Damn this car is OP. Fuel saving, no problem. Brake points, just insane.
I hope we'll see a BoP update soon! And a big one please!

Race B was great fun though! I love to race there.

Probably not to the person that was racing online that you pulled a dirty move on and brake checked.

What the hell man...

I never do this in the Daily races though??? You're the toxic player that everyone keeps complaining about

What a dick.

I hope he reported you.

Dude, I laughed. I just replied to your other post about FIA qualifying penalties where you complain about other players doing this kind of thing.

Pot and Kettle?
Oh wow, those are some quality roasts. Thanks @daan, I appreciate your kind words. Blocking in a race is fine because it doesn't ruin your starting position. I would rather lose 2 spots to a penalty than 10 to people blocking me in qualifying.

Oh oh oh and here's the kicker - the guy I brake checked said sorry, so... Call me a hypocrite all you like, I don't care but don't bash me because of it. Reading this is sickening and I cannot understand why you'd all be so mean. I am horrified @daan, you should know better.

I feel with the Gr. 2 races, the tracks should randomise each time interval. Would make things so interesting. Almost like a Mini Championship.

Qualifying is just half the race. What makes you think that your despicable action is justifiable? What the hell man, of course I'm gonna bash you because you're the very person who makes Sport mode a hell that everyone keeps complaining about. Who was the person you braked checked? I want to know because even though he did nothing wrong, he was such a nice guy and probably tried to understand that there was something wrong with your car, your line, etc. You don't deserve that sorry at all, and that person deserves your position and not to race with you ever again.

But fine, if that's your mindset, then okay I'll proceed to block you in races if I ever meet you. Don't get mad if I put you in the sand, okay?

daan did nothing wrong as well, he just stated the objective truth. You're a dick.

I had 4th into the last corner on the last lap, and the Audi was right behind. So what did I do? I had no choice but to brake check him and it surprisingly worked in my favour - he got a 10 second penalty whilst my penalty increased to 6 seconds. I kept my 4th place.
Eugh. :yuck:
You couldn't have just defended the position?

Deliberate brake check to give the driver behind you a 10 sec penalty is just pure filth.

Is there any video here that showcases the discussion? Or on what page is it?

With your race craft, you're not a hypocrite, you're simply an idiot and the type to be avoided. Ever wondered why everyone is against you whilst you're the only one that's right ?

Ah, classic Tsukuba.

I'm calling fake news on that one! There was no screeching of metal or sounds of broken glass. No collisions or dive bombing. I've never seen a race at Tsubydoo that clean.. must be fake! :p

Interesting to see Tsuchiya in the Sylvia rather than the GTR he featured in the Freeway Speedway series .

Yeah, most of the time he's in the cheat car. :)

I was within 2s of top 10, but didn't wanna race in the end. Seemed pointless to race in one-make race C, where's the fun there? They need to get that car out of gr4 and into it's own class where it belongs.

First race down. The noisy tribe at Lago. Did some laps and improved my time a bit. Went for qualifying and improved my time a bit more, but with a slight excursion for that lap I knew I would be good for another second, Ran out of time and qualified P3/12. Given how clumsy the lap was I was expecting P10. Whenever I think I've done really badly I end up in the top 5. If i think I'm fast I'm usually second from the bottom . Grid was DR/C and D with a single B mid field.

The race was a go and I was glad it didn't dump me out of auto drive where it does for qualifying! I was coming up to T1 and thinking "I've got this! ". Yeh, bulldrek you do :dunce:. On to the grass on the outside, but not into the wall. Not sure how many cars passed me, but it seemed like a lot! Given that it's the kind of track where people stuff up, *and* its Gr2, I figured odds were if I kept my whatsit together I could still salvage some places. I was patient and eased back when I was too close coming up to corners, so no nasty orange SR :D.

Whilst I did make up some places from people going off, I did also manage two actual, legit clean passes, which kinda surprised me. Left me asking "Did I do that?". The poor bugger behind me on the last two laps must have been thinking I was being as daan puts it "a dick" blocking him both times at the final ess. I was continually having trouble pulling up the car coming up to those corners, and having to practically stop to get the car turned in. Not the same as qualifying! I had a gap, but that slow down had him in a position where if he had been a few fractions closer he could have gotten overlap on the inside, but he didn't. I'd get in front of him getting into position for the next corner onto the start/finish. Crossed the line P5 with no penalties and blue SR.

SR still 99, DR up a few hundred. Better than a kick in the teeth!

Had a really strong couple of days, i do love both the 'Ring GP and Gardens. Scored a win or two (rare for me), gained 5,000 DR points and double my SR Score to be back at A.

Pretty good racing both nights, not a lot of dirty play it must be said.

Anyone else keep entering the same race but changing cars every time? I did that the last two nights and the similarities in times is crazy. The one outlier was the NSX Grp 3 at Gardens, felt hooked up and i was going to go below a 1.33 but ran out of time, but in the race it's too twitchy for me off the ideal line.

The night before at the Ring, a LOT of people were using the Lancer, I tried it, felt great but the stopwatch said it was mediocre. Found the 'vette quicker.

You cheated, and from today you can not complain about anyone cheating you in a game.

That's qualifying for a Nations Cup race not a Daily Race. Big difference.

RIGHT, because the daily races does not have real people racing.. there is NO difference, respect the players or go offline..

Had a cracker at Dragon Trail Gardens today, nice clean race too, really enjoyed it!
Enjoying the game a lot at the moment :)

What were your lap times. I was running mid to high 33's in races (33.1 best qualy lap) and you take the same lines as me but i saw a 1.32.4. I just cannot find that time.

Living in France, I realize that it'll be a very long road to reach A+ with my US account. I often race on mornings here, means that it's between 00:00 and 7am in americas. Most of fast drivers usually sleep at this time ahah. So I often "battle" in rooms with BCD guys...

I'm glad I only race once on a Blue Moon! Yeh, not my best race. I thought I had a pretty solid qualifying lap. Turns out it was *#**house. P15 for me with a grid of mostly DR/Ds, one other C, a B, and a DR/A on pole who's pre-race comment was "Lesbian Riotgirrrl Rainbow Racing".

The race was pretty civilised as far as I could tell. I did get rubbed aside a few times, but not rammed or forced into the wall. I got pretty good mileage out of the Viper. The go to car for this race seemed to be the FT-1. I was briefly in P1! Sadly my tyres were less than happy so when I did pit I came out P14 even without changing tyres. By the last two laps I was drifting T1. My tyres were shot, and I found out I wasted valuable time with an extra lap of fuel left. I picked up one penalty when I lost focus and thought T1 was T3. 5s penalty which I got rid of. Finished P16. Was hoping I'd get positions from people wrecking on T1, but they were all too good .

No loss in SR, DR down but not sure by how much, more than I'd like . Another day visiting DR/C :D.

Race B was great fun though! I love to race there.

I tried it yesterday with a 650S. Since I was on my second account, I got put against people with low SR/DR (only race I've done on this account was the 1st race of the FIA Manufacturers and I got pole and won it) and managed 4th. The first 3 were Meganes and the first 4 cars behind me were Meganes as well. In 9th was a Lancer so yeah.

Also, I can't stand Maggiore.

Just adding a few cents to the Gr4 race yesterday but not everyone won with the Megane Trophy yesterday.

Saw one player win the race with the original Megane but yeah it's pretty daft to use anything other than the Megane Trophy now which is a
shame because that car is so ugly (apologies to any fans) I can't stand to look at it for more than 15 minutes at a time.

That said now that I have a good livery for it than the plain yellow it looks much better!

Did the Blue Moon Bay race just a few minutes ago, it was my first oval race online and it pretty much went a lot better than I expected it to go... There was a lot of fair battling and drafting going on :) Tried to help a few by bump drafting them, but the game didn’t allow it, I ghosted through them :( I might put up a video of it later today :) There were a few angry people after the race in the chat, the top 3 or something had a disagreement about braketesting or something, but besides that it was, at least in my opinion, a fair and close race. Although I managed to get a penalty after braking waaay too late in T1, 3 laps from the end... didn’t hit anyone else or anything but stil got a 4 second penalty >_<
But from 15th to 10th isn’t a bad result for my first online oval race :)

Hey man, thanks for watching!
Quali was a 1:31.070 but only did a couple of laps.
Laps in the race were:

L1 - 1:37.459
L2 - 1:32.414
L3 - 1:31.520
L4 - 1:32.103
L5 - 1:32.506

So a bit off quali pace but that's to be expected. Most of the lap time is in the chicane - control the speed on the way in, focus on getting good drive out up the hill.

I think I am ok through there as i gain a lot on most B drivers there when i get it right (very inconsistent as I use the pad to race :boggled: ). I lose time shifting from left to right, it's tough with the pad and seem to lose a lot of time in esses.

So at Gardens, I lose time lining up the chicane, so you brake hard, swing left then try and hug the left side to get a good line through said uphill chicane. That swing from left to right, i lose time. Same with the esses before the 4 apexes right hander, swing right then getting the car pointed left where the sand trap waits on the right, i always feel slow there.

I was one of the B guys in one of your the races. I started, I think, 8th but daamn, those Megane Trophy drivers were ruthless. Dive bombing at T1 (twice, by the same Argentinian guy), side-swiping when slip streaming past them towards the banked right hander.

Is it just me or are sundays just dirtier? I have stopped fighting back these days because the aggravation is certainly not worth it.

Sorry for the rant.

Just curious from Maggiore Gr.4 yesterday, what times were you all running and which car were y'all using?

I was able to hit 2:06 on quali, but ran constant 2:07s with the 650S. Also, I found weird that it was understeering on the entry on most of the corners with worn tires, something that it didn't use to do about two months ago...

As far as I can tell fridays to sundays are dirtier. I usually avoid them. Would I say they're deliberately dirty, I'm not so sure. I tend to think they're just casuals thinking its ok to push, t-bone on your overtake and barge past using your car as overtake assist. Lower DRs get away with this 🤬, making mixed lobbys a farce. Either that or they're drunk. They're all Senna when they're drunk.

Someone with 3k+ races under their belt might know better though.
