I qualified today! It was pointless.

I started with Interlagos, screwed up my qualifying lap and started last. It was the 7:10 race, dirty hour, which came true as always. It wasn't long until I got stuck with a very dirty player. I passed him once, he barged passed me. I set up another pass on the straight, I'm ahead on the inside for T1, brake on time to give him space on the outside, he goes at full hotlap speed and turns in to hit me at the apex, 5 sec penalty for me. So, stay behind him them. That's a red S already, don't want to drop to SR.A in the first race.
He continues bumping people off the road either from the side or behind which somehow doesn't hurt him. I pick up the positions from the cars he runs off the road which I promptly give back at the finish due to my 5 second penalty. They weren't my positions to take so no problem there. He finishes ahead of it all of course, with a red S, should have been a B. Reported.

Screw Interlagos, my worst track with my worst car group, I'm doomed to drive in the unruly back field. Off to the lake. I qualify for last, nope actually 19th, one non qualifier behind me. Magiorre is my other weak track yet I pick up a few positions, nothing spectacular happens. I set a better qualifying lap, still pretty much last, 17th to start. Then pick up 7 positions during the race, not bad. However the next race a car spins out in the first chicane, I have cars all around me, tap his 150 degree rotated car slightly, 10 sec penalty. I serve it at the start and watch the race from a distance... The race after goes a bit better, however I screw myself with shortcut penalties. I can drive clean races on Monza, Sarthe, N24, however at Magiorre my car insists in sliding into the few spots where you get a track penalty.

To end on a high note, last race, I start 16th, 2 cars don't brake for T1, fireworks. More fireworks later when a laggy car that seems to stall in a corner suddenly takes off like a rocket. Then in the last lap I get bumped off, the other car gets the flashing penalty sign. I stay within 1 sec behind him expecting to get my position back at the finish, he goes full speed over the finish with the flashing sign and no red dot.

3.4K DR down so far, perhaps I'll look for some more punishment later. Break first.

Can anyone tell me What is the N300 vehicle for today's daily race A?

It's the X-Bow.

I just had my 25th win. Driving the Lancer I started on pole in race c against A and B drivers and pulled away for an easy win. My qualifying is a personal best ranked 14th on the qualifying rankings. My optimal lap would put me 8th so I'm going to try for a top 10 lap. Never been this close.

Hmm, that player at the top, was being called out as a cheater before and after the races I was in. I don't watch the qualy and haven't watched that player in my replays, but I did come across that player a couple times. I did get that vibe.

Hes killing me today/last night. All 7 races ive done hes won. Maybe i need to tank to get out of his room.

Last night gr4 Interlagos coming along the main straight had a better run than a guy out of the last turn and got up on his outside. He starts ramming me and ends up putting me in the wall opposite the pit entry leaving me pointing the wrong way having come to a complete stop and I received a 5s penalty. WTF!!

Racing from the back on nordschleife the other day was bad and had the reset to dr B sr C and been trying to get out of mid sr and dr hell since then.

You'll never want to be in the same room as that guy. I have never loathed someone as much as I loathe him right now

He keeps fluctuating between max S and A. He should be in E tbh but at least as long as you keep max SR you'll only face in 1 in 3 times or so

Protip from me to you: If you're just in front of him or behind him, quit during matchmaking. You won't regret it. If he's at the front and then makes a mistake and is now on the midfield, never battle with that idiot.

I did some more races at the lake, my qualifying time gave me either a last place start, or 19th so nr 20 could punt me in T1 :banghead: Miraculously I could steer in between all the other cars into the wall to prevent any secondary accidents.

Then I met @Winnie847 on the track, who I cut a little close when he got out of the pit, then he bumped me a little bit after on the right hander which I'm still not comfortable with and brake a little early. I didn't go off, he didn't pass, no harm no foul. That was a dirty race though. I ended up reporting two bump passers and more people got called out at the end of the race. Despite getting bumped off a couple times I remained penalty free until the corner before last when my car thought it necessary to slide and nick that 1.5 sec shortcut penalty losing me time and another place.

Enough of the lake, between trying to stay awake and avoiding dive bombs and bump passes, it's not even all that pretty to look at. Another 1000 DR entry fee spend, better luck tomorrow. Or not, X-Bow sledding at Alsace, Destruction derby at Willow cheat version or watching paint dry on NGP. Tough choice.

I think it was Monza some time ago. I was being escorted on the grass multiple times and bumped a bit before the first chicane. Did the same to other players.

Yeah i haven't got close yet...he's winning Im 3/4 all the time...one day...one day

Race C Today, its a Megane Trophy one Make Grid Start at Nürburgring GP, because as PD knows that Renault is being so under used since it was introduced. A grid start at Nürburgring GP with that car is going to result in carnage a T1...
At least Race B is Streets of Willow GR B, those races are always clean... :banghead:
Race A in the X-Bow at Alsace should be fairly safe though.
Might have a Try at Race C with no Quali just for the crack.
Edit: Race C wasn't too bad after the start but I finished last, the Group B race was as I expected total chaos from start to finish, I was last again as I had to drop back to avoid the chaos..

The penalty system couldn't be more broken after the last update. This is about the most upside down penalty I got last night:
Ln3aEkF.gif

Car 0.5 sec behind brakes too late and taps my rear bumper, I get SR down and 2 sec penalty. I couldn't have taken that corner any cleaner yet PD thinks I'm brake checking??

What time zone is that. I don't really like either track yet I'll be racing anyway. See you there!
You should see my ridiculous penalty from merely touching someone. Here:

I just wanted to leave a quick "good bye" (for the daily races only) here!
I'm done with them for now, as PD doesnt care anymore or just dont know how to fix them (DR, BoP and track limits). It's just not fun for me anymore...:indiff:
I will still do some hotlapping and lobbies from time to time. But no more sport mode until PD fixes their crap. Wish you guys all the best and no penalties for the day. I'm out!

For the Daily Race C (Megane Trophy at Nurburgring GP) you will need to fuel save a bit to make it to the end without pitting.

I got punted at the 1st corner (Be warned that it is a standing start) and then at the next hairpin as well. Ended dropping from 4th to 15th, so just dropped the fuel mixture down to 3 for a couple of laps and then charged back up through the field towards the end as everyone had to either turn the fuel down or pit. Managed to get back up to 4th and was only 6 secs back of the winner at the end, so pay attention to your fuel.

Dont think I could agree with a post about someone more than this one. He is a real piece of crap that guy. Cant stand the thought that someone could be in front of him

What's the best fuel map for the early stages of the races, 2 or 3 or should it be higher?

I have a completely different strategy in mind to my racing today, it may work it may not but qualifying high is not giving me good SR/DR so time for something different.

I wonder if I can win with another car... Maybe I'll try the Veyron or Citroen later. Thoughts?

Edit: Nvm it's a one-make =~=

For Race C I just ran mainly 2 through the race, 3 if your in the tow as you can still keep pace. Also 3 is fine through the twisty section after T1 as you save fuel but the time loss is minimal. I saved a bit too much and still had about 1/4 laps worth at the end, was P5. A lot of the other entries pitted.

I haven't played sport mode enough and I'm still not familiar with all the cars yet, but did one of Race A and C. Race C, I lost based on being not confident with the GP track despite having done enough on GT5/6. Race A is actually ok I think, although Sport Medium Tyres on the X-Bow feels way different than on an Evo or something.

But overall, my pick for the next 24hrs is Race A. Also going to try and reclaim my little DR points - still trying to further my progress in DR. D.

I’m sadly with you, I had my finals earlier this month and since coming back I haven’t enjoyed dailies nearly as much as I did before. My favourite class to race (Gr.4) is a boring one make with a car I don’t really like, the penalty system is still stupid and takes the fun off. Well, I would have stopped anyway because of holidays, let’s see if something will change next month when I come back...

I joined up here just to say how much I agree with the previous posts regarding that certain Malaysian fella. Absolutely the dirtiest I've come across. But on the plus side he will crack under pressure every time.

Anyway not to be completely negative... it's an interesting mix in Daily C where people blindly go for the no stop option when it's arguably faster to go full tilt and then pit for only fuel. But that depends on your race circumstance too (stuck in traffic, no pitting definitely worth considering)

Thanks for the info, the strategy for today is decided now I just have to wait for my shift at work to finish before I can begin my day's racing.

Oh no what happened:confused: Just raced you twice recently. :(

Chance for matching with “real” Sr S drivers who know the proper use of radar is lesser and lesser. Poor GTS.:indiff:

The latest "improvement" to the penalty system is not fit for purpose, Race C I just tapped a car along the back flat out section, no effect on the car in front got an absurd 10 sec penalty yet again and -12 SR at the end of the race. -32 SR so far today. Unless this is fixed soon my time playing this game is nearly over. I thought the last update was to make things better but the current penalties are a joke especially the 10 second one as it totally takes the fun out of the game as you can't even "race".
I know racing is non contact but the odd tap is part of racing. These 10 second penalties are not realistic, look at F1 even if you totally crash someone off you only get 10 seconds . Never seen them handed out for fun like on GTS, the real driving simulator this game most definitely isn't. :irked:

Edit: Did Race A was clean and got a Blue SR at the end, how many points will I get back?
1, so 12 clean race As will cancel 1 bad Race C, in other words I need to do another 31 clean race As to get my 32 lost SR back?

I spend my time with fishing in warframe right now. Way more enjoyable :)
Lets just hope the update at the end of the month isnt just more content, but some serious fixes to the game.

Thats not even the issue. Most guys I race are at SR99 and try to keep it clean. But the system just ruins it everytime!
And the BoP is so off, I dont know whats so hard to implement a Megane hotfix...

I wanted to race La Sarthe yesterday, but then remembered the stupid track penalties you get on every corner of the track. So I logged off...
But I'm sure we meet again sometime! FIA manufactures races are still mostly great fun. Maybe we'll meet there:cheers:

I only get time to do 1 race (and about 10 mins practice) to do in the morning before I go to work, so have no idea whether pitting or non-stop is faster. I would have thought the non-stop method is faster though as I think you are only a couple of laps short of flat out, so only takes a bit of fuel saving.

I just wanted to make people aware as the fastest guy in my race ran out of fuel on the last lap, and a few others pitted on the last 2 laps.

I think using 2 or 3 in the twisty bits and 1 on the front & back straights, and the drag up the hill from the hairpin, will get you there no problem.
