I stopped saving my Top 10 times around June, unless it's a notable one. I also don't save poles and wins, because I believe time is a better indicator of skill

Across all my 4 accounts, I have a total of 583 races, along with 225 wins. That's a win rate of 38.59%. You have a total of 1288 races and 321 wins, which is a winrate of 24.9%

Those are my humble results :)

@supervento if DR and SR do not matter then why don't we all just go and play F1 2017 online??? Do you think Atletico Madrid are a worse team than Rayo Vallecano (2017/18 Spanish second division champions) because they did not win a title?

Didn't race much last night. But I did get in Race B. Group B cars at those Willow Springs tracks is fantastic fun.

I got punted off the track by someone and had so much momentum that I had no choice but to just cut across the desert and get back onto the track. Cost me a 10 second penalty. Needless to say, I went from 6th to dead last. However, in my desire to not finish last I was able to win my very first "fastest lap" in a race.

Wow, SR.B has changed! So much shameless contact, driving people off, constant last second blocking.

Yeah, I knew I was in trouble at Streets of Willow when my weak 1:19 lap time (from just two qualifying attempts) put me in 7th place on the grid. And in both of those two laps I ran off of the course from just trying to push too hard. I accidentally learned that you can cut turn 11 through the dirt without a penalty, I don't think it's faster but you can do it if you lose control on turn 10, which happens a lot.

Anyways, for the race I just ran conservative racing lines trail braking 2-3 flashes into the brake warning. That will usually keep me safely in control and on the course even if I don't know the course. On turn 1, someone from the back of the pack dive bombed the entire lineup and took everyone out. I ran a consistent outside line on the turn and I was rammed completely off of the track into last place with no penalty. Everyone else received a penalty so from there it was just about passing all the dead weight and just regaining my position to conserve DR points.

This one guy who I believe caused the initial crash was weave blocking like an idiot. I just kept going side by side with him racking up his penalties. He ended the race with 29 seconds in penalties and his SR tanked from S to B.

I used to avoid reckless drivers but now it's almost more fun to hover around them and draw penalties until they're forced to back off and run them down. It's like watching someone getting pulled over by a cop after cutting you off.

It's honestly one of my favorite classes despite how much hate it gets. And honestly, the criticism is fair, the course representation of the game doesn't really compliment the funnest aspects of Group B. The class really needs some Rally Cross stages, but saying that, I wouldn't want development time wasted on Group B when I'd rather have more real world street courses.

So for the time being, Group B on courses with edible corners will have to suffice. I recommend trying Brand's Hatch in a GR B car, it's good fun.

then 90% of drivers F1 - DTM would lose their race license due to many penalties
Like VER, VET, RAI, HAM
it's funny this is DR-SR
If someone hit me deliberately, I'm back and the race is over. I do not care about DR and SR in this case.
I like clean racing

Everyone who watches SR - DR
Just show yourself

It's probably all the other little rubs and bumps that although not your fault, no SR down, no penalty, still add to SR loss regardless. Every contact is SR loss. The ones that show SR down and/or give you a time penalty count a lot more heavy.
I believe this is true.

Just had a quick go in the R8 LMS for race C, with some fuel saving mainly by going to 2 fuel map through the slow sections was easily a one stop. Noticed a lot of folks going full throttle from the start and having to 2 stop. An easy 3rd place for me ;)

I saw the races that were up for today, had a feeling that the track for Race C was a really good one to finally get to use the full potential of the R8 LMS. Looking forward to it later.

I'm glad someone had fun there . I did qualifying laps there the last time they were running Streets with GrB. I was clearly a danger to myself and others, so I did not race.

Today I did Big Willow instead. I never intended to race. I was just going to do qualifying laps. I suck at Race As and I didn't think I was doing spectacular laps. Then I realised there was a count down and that I had entered the race :dunce:. I was pretty sure that would be fine. I would be up the back anyway, right :dopey:? P3 is at the back, isn't it ? There was a DR/B on pole, the rest DR/C and D.

Well the flag drops and I was already bouncing off the rev limiter. As soon as the car gets moving up to 2nd. I took a very conservative inside round T1, I at least wanted to survive that. A bit surprised to continue on. I made it through the laps with a car nipping at my heels. I heard a crashing sound on the exit to the second turn of the esses and the gap behind me dropped to 4s. I was just trying to keep it on the track, The X-bow on Big Willow was a lotta fun, but a bit nail biting. I blew my clean race bonus running onto the dirt of the first corner of the esses, but the bank stopped me from going too far. The gap dropped to 0.8s and I was expecting to be passed at any moment :scared:. I he was just behind me and almost about to overlap when I messed up T2 and pulled a Hail Mary to keep it on the track. Outside tyres half on and half off, and that was all he needed. I had to keep it wide to let him pass then ducked in behind. He did a Possum Bourne impression and the guy behind him was 3s behind. I managed to stretch that to 5s across the line with no penalties :D. And the result:

I was astonished. Then I realised I shouldn't get too excited. The DR/B who won must have felt winning by over 20s a bit of a hollow victory.

No one crashed me off! Woohoo! So, SR still 99, and I got bumped up to DR/C. I give it 2 days before I'm back to DR/D .

LOL
races show plss ( win, top 5, pole position )
no DR SR
Obviously you've won more races, poles and top 5s than me. I don't artificially lower my Dr/Sr scores to race against slower people... When I'm fast, I get matched with very skilled drivers who are sometimes in the top 10 in the US, so I don't win as frequently as you...

The AMG worked for me. However, it was a stoooopid race. I don't know if the Slophy is worse or the P.U.GoAway.

The car "goes plaid" down the straight. In the corners, it handles like jell-o. Again, don't use the car, if you can't control it. I got 40 seconds total, in penalties from the same player.

I gave it room at T1, the esses, the over pass, the hairpin. Still, bouncing off walls and over shooting and swerving back onto the racing line.

Then, with 2 laps left. I think it had to pit. I did the cross cross at the hairpin. I use the left lane down thd straight. Instead of sitting behindv me, the fool tries to pass me while deciding to pit. Tried to bump me into the pits when we're near pit entrance. The fool goes slideways into the pits, as I'm gathering myself. Unbelievable!

Edit: Oh yeah... and a Slophy got dealt with
From 4:55

TCS on 3.. I admit, I'm a little surprised by this.

I thought the 'Ring race C with the Megane's was a bag of fun. predictably chaotic at the start, basically impossible to avoid contact or you just get mugged but once the first lap is done you have a decision to make, do I conserve and not stop or do i go hard?

I tried both, TBH I think going hard was slightly faster but picked up a win conserving (I only have 5 wins) and a second with a slash and dash. if people raced properly the ring is a proper good track, two excellent passing zones and two others if you get it right, too many people try to squeeze past in impossible places though.

The Megane is MUCh more fun as a single Marque race.

@supervento and @TheGeologist.

There's many ways you can compare skill. SuperVento you can't hold onto your position!

Dropping an average of 3 places per race, that's not good racing!

Mine is -1.63 yet that's influenced by racing without qualifying for a lot of races. Although whatever I do doesn't have much effect anymore after 3600 races!

I don't mind you creating your own fun, I do mind PD letting you back into SR.S so easily. This is a clear case where the SR system fails at separating the clean and careful from the reckless.

I've had 3 DR resets as well, all clearly documented in this thread, 2 from bump drafting on Bluemoon and the last a non qualifying 20+ race marathon on a Saturday Sarthe sprint run. Just normal racing clean won't get you reset. Definitely not 20+ times. Each time I saw it coming from a long way away and could have changed course at any time. Yet climbing back up to DR.A without qualifying once was pretty fun.

And you know what, a win at 99 SR.S in a DR.A room feels >>>>>>>>> better than a 3 star victory running out in front in a B/B to D/B room.
