Let’s have a daily race c in a road car, that gives a massive unfair advantage to wheel users who have bought the shifter by reducing the time delay between changing gears
This is honestly the most valid complain I've seen about wheel user advantage

Haven't been too fussed about the change to weekly races but this weeks selection proves it needs to go back to daily. A full week of 2 rubbish races; race A in the most hateful car ever made and race C on a boring track in a boring slow car. Wow.

Race B is all i'll care about this week ;) #makesportmodegreatagain
I want to spam that race for some DR, but I'm too inconsistent to net myself some results. I also chew waaay more than I can swallow with that time, so I won't risk losing DR to both aliens and spinning out

Not bothering to do racing much now, I only did a few races last week as the track selection was a bit week, this weeks appears to be even worse not much too tempt me back to the game. Tsukuba should not be used for C as its basically too short and as others have said becomes boring rather fast, probably still give it a go. Also having two one make races is a total joke, was bad when it was changing daily but for a whole week its simply a step too far.
PD please sack the idiot who chose this weeks selection.

I'm not so negative about this week as others. I like Brands and a I like Gr3 so at least there's 1 option for me. 6 laps is enough, I hope, to settle the mayhem of a Daily B. Maybe it's because last week ended better than it began. Granted, I got a win in Daily A but after that SR got destroyed again. Late in the week I came back to do a few Daily B. Yes, the lobby is quiet and I'm finding myself at the back of a pack that's lapping nearly 5 seconds quicker than me, I think in part not because I'm just slow but weekly format is giving those who have time plenty of opportunity to perfect their qualifying. On the other hand, the guys around me that were at similar pace gave me some good clean entertainment. In the lower tiers I find more car mix than the elites so I was in with, yes Megane Gr4, but I was using 4WD Lambo, Evo, GT-R as I just preferred them for the track (and in general). They slow better for me after the long straights and pull out quicker when through them. OK, I started bottom 3 in every race but SR back to S, always made up 3 to 4 places and had some fun. Thanks!

Had some amazing races on the mountain yesterday. This track has always been a crashfest and SR graveyard for me, but with the weeklies, it seems to have improved driving and racing standards imo. Some mistakes etc but on the whole, really close clean racing (even if it was the Megane cup lol).

I've managed to see my DR rise over 45,000 which is a first for me. Well happy :gtpflag:

I ended the week with 4 races on the mountain in the Huracan. I figured I would qualify since it's only 3 laps, botched my one qualifying lap for a 2:17 and started 11th to 14th in the next 3 races, it's not last....

First race I got immediately forced wide on T1, yet made it to 9th with clean race bonus. Only 3 laps, which was over way too soon to make up more positions. In the second race I got bumped off in the chase and hit a ghost in the dipper, car hits wall, ghosts, can't avoid ghost, hit ghost.... 3rd race I'm not paying attention and go at McPhillamy Park into the dirt, to last. The rest went better and I made it back to my starting position of 11th, yet just as I was getting in the zone it was over again.

Since I was doing 2:15 laps in the race I went back to quali to update my time (since I was done with the dishes etc) and set a 2:15.2, still started 14th. Pole was 4 seconds faster after a week of practice. The race was clean anyway, made it to 9th again with clean race bonus. 2.5K down from those 4 races. SR never suffered at least.

Great track, yet 3 lap, 7 minute races, meh. I close to finished Spider-man for the rest of the night. 96%.

Just got out of the Gr.3 Weekly at Brands Hatch. The guy who got fastest lap disconnected midway through the race... coincidentally he shares the same name as the first murder victim from Detroit. There's a "28 stab wounds" reference in here somewhere...

I enjoyed the Huracan for this too. 4WD for acceleration out of slow corners. Good for late braking after the long straights but unlike the Evo it did not run out of gears on Conrod.

So what's the meta car for Brands, guys? I assume its the renault.

I haven't played yet today but I recall the 991 & Evo are good at Brands. The trick would be to play early in the week before everyone has figured it out...and before the agoraphobics get their qualifying times down.

I found myself enjoyed Race A and C, especially C.

The key of success in C

- watch your front left tires
- 1:08 on average
- close the door as early as you can
- blip the throtle to save tires while downshift

- TCS 0 / BB +5 / Aids = off / ABS = weak

What do you mean?
If you have a steering wheel with a shifter + clutch, you can upshift so much faster than when you use paddles/controller. In addition to that problem, you can combine that upshift by using your paddles to downshift (which, unlike the upshift, doesn't lose you time) to get the best lap time possible. It's frustrating

As my understanding clutch only available when PS4 detect H pattern shifter ? AM I wrong ?

I'd like to do race C but I'm not racing out to buy a shifter for it. I had wondered why I was so far off until I watched a replay and saw the tell tale neutral blip between upshifts.

Given all they do to try and even out pad and wheel users leaving the shifter advantage in is quite odd.

Correct me if I’m wrong but previously on daily races PD have changed the gearbox to be sequential in order to cancel out this advantage. The particular example I have in mind was the Fiat 500s at no chicane Monza. Is this not the case in Daily C?

Sadly no. They only do these custom transmissions on really low powered cars (ie. 500, Beetle, Sambabus). I started noticing it way back in the first E30 M3 Daily Race A at Tsukuba

Wow that does suck, I have a H-pattern myself but I don’t want to compete with an unfair advantage, odd decision from PD.

Well, I am all ready for hopefully a decent week's racing.

Sacrificed all my DR but I am back to SR S for this week's races (82 points) so hopefully I can stay at that level, my main race this week is going
to be Race C since I like the 86 and I consider I'm pretty good at Tsukuba, is the race involving any pit stops/fuel issues that I need to be aware
of before I get started.

I'm 3 seconds off the top 10 at the moment but hopefully it's good enough for actual start positions on the grid itself!
