Twenty-one times starting a new game It's just like the first.

Some early Monday laps. I used to Supra at Kyoto as it seems to be the best so far, I don’t particularly love driving this car due to the way it has to be shifted but on the faster tracks it’s not as bad. Got it down to a 34.2 after chasing @Mistah_MCA for a while, Great Lap man!

Took the Miata out next, the tires weren’t as bad as I thought they’d be. I chased @Mistah_MCA again for a bit and again couldn’t catch him, another great Lap man! I was closer to catching him on this one though, if I can stop messing up the final chicane I can probably get into the 31’s. Down to 32.4 so far though and enjoying this one much more than I first thought. :)

I totally remember that! In the 350Z or something?

We went to battle with the whole freakin' family. To be fair, they were fast, but why do they get to wall ride and I don't?

The youngest one, boy, 12 or 13 I think... he was pretty darn good, actually.

They came around eventually, but the lag, oh the lag.
Right. They are actually pretty darn good, but not exactly gracious in defeat. There's a ton of them, too. I remember doing a few races with MamaJara, then all of a sudden she was gone, and a new one named blahblahJara appeared in the next race. I was picturing a big family like this, fighting over the controller.

First race around Tokyo. YES it's the Porsche!!!! It drives very nicely, makes up a bit for being the wrong version of the South loop. It's at night too, fun!
Sounds like fun to me. I've got no problem with trashing McMurphy's rating this week. 👍

Race C is the Mazda Roadster Touring Car. Looking forward to that one, should be fun 👍

Aaanndd Race A is a One Make race with the Porsche 911 930......... Might give that one a miss

I'll give it a spin and see how I do in qualifying, but my expectations with that car are very low. The oversteer is just awful.

No liveries allowed for the Porsche? Well that sucks, I can't get to show off my hard work then :banghead::banghead:

It's a one-make race with PD providing the car, so therefore no liveries are allowed. Technically you aren't using YOUR car. Think of it as a rental :)

Sad to see the end of Willow Springs, it was by far my most successful event to date. I've been taking part in events on and off since launch, but never really committed time to learn tracks and set decent lap times. I've finally started to and got my first ever wins (3 of them) this week.

What cars would people recommend from race B, the Gr.3's in Kyoto?

I have a feeling, for myself, it's going to be a Porsche week.

Supra has a clean sweep of the leaderboard in EMEA

The Supra is the meta? I'm SHOCKED. The Japanese bias is a bit much.

There were may FT-1s in my race, but the Atenza still shone. Stable and fast.

I like that car, will have to give that one a go.

The R8 was working well in practice yesterday, it likes this track. :)

Sigh, with the power nerf and added weight (why does PD hate Audi?), I have a feeling the Supra's are going to catch it.

I just had a fun race A with Sven. It's just like driving in snow. You Canadians know what I mean.
I finished with about a half a second remaining before time ran out, because some dude named Lester started on the pole and went around the track way too damn fast. It's an entertaining race, though. Saw a ton of wall hits.

I normally don't like racing street cars very much .... usually stick to race cars. But when I saw the Porsche I thought ....why not.? Let's give it a go ! Whaaaaat a bad idea !:lol::lol:

It is a bit like driving in snow but, to me, it feels like driving a car that they forgot to install the shocks. It's like driving on coil springs alone :D;) And yes, I tried that once and it's a blast :p ....just not on a race track .....

Knocked a bit more off the MX5 time but I still botched the final chicane.

That's an impressive time. I'm on a 32.3 at the moment. What brake balance are you using? I can't decide how far to push it to the rear, or if it should be towards the rear at all.
It feels easier to turn with it at the back but my fastest time is with it at zero. Which just hammers home that I don't understand what brake balance does

Thanks man, it’s a really fun car to drive. :) I got stuck at 32.2 at first as well, I was using 0 at first but I set my best lap at +1, I’ll have a video up here in a few minutes, I just beat that last lap I posted. I think the BB is more relevant to people to trail brake a lot, more so than straight line brakers which I think is why some people don’t notice as much of a difference as others when adjusting it. :)

Have you tried messing around BB without ABS? You get a much better feel for what the BB does.

Don't forget to turn it back on. :D

Why is my shifter not working in Daily Race A? It works with the same car in Time Trial mode, but not here? No clutch, no shifter usage.

Shifters don’t work anymore in any daily races, they were disabled a while back because guys found ways to cheat with them and there was too much difference between shift times between a shifter and paddles in road cars.

Got the MX down to 31.666! I was so close to catching you this time @Mistah_MCA , so close!! :D BB +1

@sturk0167 Great fun racing that car between the walls :) I guess I got into the naughty room after bumping you into the wall, oops. Which wasn't bad, 2nd place with clean race bonus and 1:56.8 lap. So a CRB is worth a whopping 6 points on A this week, to 94! See you next race.
Well, this is a new one. Obviously I botched the chicane, and my left rear fender hit the barrier. 5 seconds for that. No problem.
A couple seconds later, the game decides to double up on me, I get the same penalty again, for the same reason, apparently. I definitely only hit it once (each 5 second penalty says "Hit the Barrier"). Any ideas what the deal is? Is it just a mistake by the penalty system?

imo the mx-5 would be boring to use with racing tyres. Already has its power nerfed with added weight, it is stable enough. Don't need extra grip

Even on sports hards it has plenty of grip. Race tires seems overkill on a car that slow. That BoP for the daily is a major L. I will probably stick to race b thanks to that. The car was already pretty easy to drive and had good gearing. I get the feeling it is going to be gutless now. I will give it a chance though.

Everybody was kung fu fiiiighting.... Yeh.... Race B. Went in with the bug because it seemed to get around ok during the weekend lobby. I put in a crap qualifying time which I knew was at least 3s off the pace, yet still started P5/16 on a grid of my peers. There was no "META", down in DR/D, we drive whatever the 🤬 we want, and if you don't like it, bugger off! (Yeh, sorry... attitude... I just finished watching a rockumentary about the album "Never mind the bollocks, here's the Sex Pistols") .

Cry havoc, and let slip the puppies of War! The race starts and already at T1 two cars ahead of me go wide and onto the grass. Coming up through the esses I have some momentum , tap someone as I come through. They go wide, cut back across, ghost through me, cut back the other way, unghost and nail me. SR down for me.. fair enough, I should have gotten it from the initial contact. Into the wall I go and drop from P3 to P9.

Heading into the second lot of esses, where the entry requires a sudden deceleration, I get through quite well, have momentum which the two cars in front don't have. One got his line wrong and goes wide, the other gets his line wrong and goes the other way, and there's a Beetle sized gap in between. Once more into the breech! Zooom!!! Or at least that's how it was *supposed* to go. The guy on the inside turned in, hit me on the corner and I'm suddenly wearing a tutu doing Swan Lake. By the time my head stops spinning and I unghost, it's P14 for you buddy .

Ahead of me was pure carnage. I went from P14 to P6 in 3 corners.. this is still lap 1!!!!!! I see a lot of flashing above the cars in front. Only close enough to one of them to capitalise, and cross the line into lap 2 where I started, P5 with a fair gap to P4. The guy who served the penalty was not all that far behind and a quick excursion onto the grass had my tail wagging and him catching up, just out of radar range. As it turned out he had his own problems and I managed to increase the gap... and started catching the two cars in front. Lap 3 and the guy in front got it a bit wrong on the second esses and I was right on him. I stuck to him and made my move on T1 of the final lap. He went wide, I clung to the inside and slipped past him under power and didn't look back. Finished the lap and crossed P4, as one of the few who didn't have a red dot.

The weird thing was, I actually found I was driving better during the race than qualifying :banghead:. Despite seeing two SR downs, I didn't loose any SR . DR up 700. Another day above DR 1 :dopey:.

As a Swede I will try my snow driving techniques then :)
