@Pigems was spot on, got two wins tonight thanks to being better at adapting the changing car.

First race was pure stupidity. Started 4th, beating and banging all through lap 1 but was able to hold on. Next lap I squeaked to 3rd only to be divebombed into the hairpin and get door slammed. Luckily I saved the car from spinning and held 4th.

Lead pair started losing their cool with each other, leader ended up making a late cut to the inside and got 2nd place loose into the chicane. 2nd place however kept their foot in it after he missed the chicane and took out the leader, both recieved 2 second penalties so me and dive bomber began pulling away.

Had a decent fight with dive bomber until into turn 2. I went inside while both on the high line, ended up getting him loose and he ended up on the grass, but it was hard to feel sorry after shoving me into the hair pin earlier.

Final lap into the chicane he decides 1.5 seconds back to take me out via no braking. Luckily I had enough of a lead to still win and dive bomber got 5 second penalty.

Second race was much more clean and enjoyable. Started 4th again but got to 2nd place from 2nd and 3rd tangling up on lap 1. In a copy cat of the Hungarian GP i began applying pressure to the leader once i was on their bumper.

We passed eachother multiple times until I finally performed a switcheroo before the second long straight after the leader went wide. After that i had to pull away from the 2nd and 3rd place drivers after they fought eachother. All in all a much better feeling win.

Haiku for race C
Tenth to Seventh nice and clean
Dead tyres last lap.

Back to SR S, DR basically unmoved. I got passed a lot at the hairpin. A little slow through the tight bends but not quite so bad. Got the best of some guys in straight fights. Great wheel to wheel action with a Portuguese chap. Lots of room given, he was faster so let him go after slight error exiting chicane.

EDIT: Here's the livery I got distracted on. Took a nice snap at Brands for patriotism's sake.

I think the C race would have been much better if it was on a shorter track. Super GT brought it up in a recent video, and I'm going to agree with him on that.

A Mazda Touring car race would have been better on the following tracks:

-Autopolis Short
-Suzuka East
-Short versions of Lago Maggiore
-Kyoto Driving Park - Miyabi
-Any of the Blue Moon Bay configurations
-Sardegna C
-Any other short tracks I can't think of right now

It would be interesting to see what people think of a race on Nordschleife with the Mazda Touring Car. Long track, slow-ish car, but that can enable a few more overtaking opportunities and close racing.

Knowing PD, they'll likely only make it a 2 lap race, so we'd need to set up a proper lobby race to get the most out of it, and see if people like that combo or not.

I've also been feeling a bit low lately, so I've been staying away from 90% of the GTSport stuff, including making videos (I need to make the Supra guide, so I'll have tonforce myself to get to it tonight). I'm just over here doing lap times for N200 cars. :p
Kind of a shame, I was looking forward to doing the Roadster races, but I can't do it if I'm feeling like this lol.

I think the Roadster would have been a better choice for Race A.

Damm that -11 SR to 88 from the first race at 8:20 pm, 4 blue S races later, 95 SR lol. Clean race bonus and only +2 SR. There are still some people left in SR.S, most have gone though. Prime time rooms are all A/S to D/S. Qualifying times from 1:53 to 2:14 and still non qualifiers behind me. 4 SR to go, 3 or 4 more races?

Not overtaking in the first section helps with SR. People can't control the car there, too dangerous to pass there. Sticking to the granny lane seems to be the safest way to survive, then pass with a better exit at the end before the hairpin. ... To get dive bombed! Fun.

Back to 91 now due to a dirty 1 bar Brazilian. He thanked me for a clean race.... Lag doesn't make you dirty block nor push out my car at the hairpin under full acceleration, it does apparently give you a blue S at the end of the race. So 5 more races then. (Better wait for morning, 1 more attempt I guess, it's just getting dirtier as usual)

+1 SR from my last race today. A T1 dive bomber from Chile made this race a mess. (He started behind me, my DR is too high to actually get to start last) I ended up with a 5 sec wall penalty to avoid one of his other dives while he took out several cars during the race. Eventually he fell back due to a 5 sec penalty but still had neutral SR after the race? I don't get it, driving like an ass taking out people preserves your SR better than trying to race clean. Anyway the 90+ SR room is no more after 10pm (est), SR.A is already added to get 10 entries. Time to run for the hills!

If I make an alt account potentially I could be the Chilean trolling you...HMMMM. Maybe I will be Brazilian...
So many options...:)
Serious though has anyone from N America made an alt account from S America?
Can you do that? Seems like they should easily be able to figure that out.

Hmm good call, the occasional green connection Brazilian is suddenly very suspect!

If Sony can't even figure out the continent your IP address is on...

I know. We have people in NA playing on other continents!

Plus to be fair I race good connection South Americans often when I race and in general they are very fast and clean. But the combo of one with a bad connection and aggressive driving....They get a rep.

I wonder what time @Invisigoth & @05XR8 wake up. :D

I don't usualy race during the day. My circumstances have changed, so for the moment I could do, but I need to give my thumbs a break. I usually do one race a midnight or there abouts. The bulk of my opponents are Japanese, so the connection isn't perfect, but a yellow connection still works. @Pigems and @Mistah_MCA 's lobbies usually start at about 11am.

Maaann, these posts move so fast I don't even know where Sturk's post came from. I'm up early and out for work. I'm on around 2AM USA time I guess and through midday. That's when I'm doing absoSmurfly nothing with my Wife and Fam...

Nice! There is a section in the PS4 friends menu that’s called “Players Met” that you can click on to find the guy you raced with and add him that way. It’s a handy tool for remembering names of people. :)
It's not working to me. My list is empty - after NFS, Journey, Gran Turismo matches. If I'd like to write to someone I have to "screenshot" him :( .

IIRC if you're still in the race lobby you can press the options button and go to the friends tab. I think it shows current players there which might help. I'm not at home to check atm so I'm probably totally wrong.

I went to friends then just pressed down and there they where. All my daily races with players.

And on a side note I now believe my natural habitat is D/S. I qualified for race B on Monday with a 1:36:8 in the Porsche RSR, and been a second slower all week, alternating between the Porsche and the Jag. Slightly faster with the Porsche but more unstable. DR up and down a few points every race.
Lost some SR due to a South African in a McLaren so went back to my stable option the Lexus -17.
Have had big problems with the hairpin all week, loosing about a second there. With the Lexus I was suddenly able to do a 1:36:3 and getting a CRB in the same race so I guess I will stick to that one now.
See you at Yamagiwa, if you are low enough in DR

I've had a bad night Yesterday with races A and C.
I can't qualify correctly in race C, with a 2:34.2 lap time, I always start at the end of the grid, and the tight grid makes it super hard to avoid any kind of contact.
In the last race, lap 2, I got absolutely destroyed by the guy behind me in the hairpin. I went in the gravel and my car got reset... Dead last and had to work hard to catch up. I was super upset and when I caught up on him, I saw that he was having some heavy lag. Passed him cleanly, and he apologised after after the race, all is forgiven.
Managed to save my SR in two consecutive races, but only 1 or 2 spots gained each time so DR is down in the 21k.:(

Race A is still a lot of fun. I've noticed that any contact with the wall in the chicane is an automatic 5sec penalty! I've seen many drivers get it yesterday and I understand the frustration.

Man is Race B filthy today in Europe.

Penalties left right and centre, and everyone I've received have been from cars in front losing control, careering back on track, hitting me and going off again, giving me anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds.

Or the best one today was a pole sitter who got nerfed off somewhere and decided anyone else trying to pass was fair game for retaliation. They were gaming the penalty system at the same time though. They took me out just after the chicane at the bottom of the hill, and went off track at the same time, giving me 5 seconds, they then do the same to the other racer in front at the hairpin. Absolutely spear them, the wounded gets 5 seconds, the pissed pole sitter goes on their merry way.

They did receive a lot of abuse at the end in the chat.

I even got called out by a French driver, (who said I should go and have relations with my mother), but the thing is, I was nowhere near them in the race!!! The started 4th, me 16th, and I never saw them until near the end when he was spinning like a top.
I found the same, it's a very difficult race to get through unscathed, nearly every driver tries to enter the chicane far too fast and then loses it smashes into you and give you a penalty, not funny anymore.

I have now run maybe 25 gr3 race B this week and the only time I have seen havoc in the chikane is when someone breaks for too long and goes too slow in the chikane. Then all the ones behind are forced to panic breaking and looses it so they fly all over. If done right with two wheels on the curb you can almost run straight through it at max power after the breaking down hill.

Took another run at Race C - same quali time as I thought I'd warm up with the Suzuka circuit experience. That NSX is jumpier than a trench veteran. Probably the most nervous car in group 3, right?

Anyway, started from 14th for this one. Nice cleanish start and a spun car ahead got me in the top 10 by the esses, and I spent most of the race battling 2 German chaps for 8th. A spaniard came and got involved too but plenty of room was being given. I made a couple of annoying errors that made me drop back from 7th, one of the Germans passing me at the hairpin to send me back to 9th, then I had to fight off the Spaniard who tried to push past at the same place the next lap. I did shut the door on him rather hard and I think he backed out of going past. I got a better run around spoon and put him behind me. The German chap ahead of me went to sleep and I took 8th back heading into the chicane with a 2s gap after he ate some wall. Then I fell asleep through the esses and got it all wrong, lost all the time and he passed at Degner. It was annoying but the race Gods smiled on me - he went wide at 130R and had a violent spin. I took 8th with a fraction of a second lead to the chap behind.

SR went up 7, back to 95 so the woes of Tokyo are at least behind me. Actually gained 450 odd DR too, still in the upper echelons of C rank.

This race is just too long and lacking in action, though. I'm falling asleep by lap 4 and judging by the amount of unforced mistakes, everyone else is too.

I would try race B, but look at the leaderboards... Supra, Supra, Supra, Supra. I can't drive the thing since they hacked it to make it the fastest in the hands of aliens. Not really interested in a Gr 3 one make especially at a track I am really not so hot at and has its fair share of dangerzones...

That Porsche looks at me with sultry eyes... "you're fast here... things will be different this time". I don't believe it.

This week's races are kind of crappy.

Enjoying race B in the DR D ranks, everyone run what they feel like.

I may yet give it a go and see what C rank is like. Top 10 is all Supra but my friends list has some variation. I take it a top speed car is better from what I see?

Either way, will probably practice lots before racing. Not a track I'm confident at and I don't think others struggle there as much.

The Supra is best in qualifying but other cars race well from the front of the grid. I've seen the GT-R run at the front and I've had a few 2nd places in the Ferrari (for me it has better race pace). Whatever you race you need that Supra qualy lap imo.

Seen people win with the 911, the Jag, the Supra, the AMG, even the Renault once. I now run the Lexus and keeps my spot, sometimes gains a few too.

Statham movies eh? I actually really like the transporter ones....

Did three races after work last night. I wont usually race in the evening cuse i am tired and sloppy after a hard days work. I was however feeling pretty good and in the mood for some racing. First two races were good clean affairs. A walk away win in the first race, and a good battle for the win in the second. In the third i started to get tired. Made a mistake that had me drop down to 4th. I did manage to get back into 3rd but the guy i was behind had a bad connection and was all over the road anyway, so that is where i stayed.

Hope to have some more good ones this morning....

Happy friday everyone :gtpflag::cheers:
