Anyone getting constantly disconnected?

I was! It may be on your side rather than the server's. I had my PS4 connected via a powerline adapter that was split with another line so getting about 20 to 30 mbps speeds. It connected direct to LAN now (not split and not powerline) so getting 80+ mbps speeds. No drop offs last night and up from 4 green bars to 5 constant.

All the Gr. 1 cars I have right now are non-hybrids, and I don't feel like buying one (I'd rather spend my money on cars that actually interest me, and while I like Gr. 1 as a whole, the hybrids are mostly hideous to look at and seem rather sterile to drive). That leaves me stuck using my Mazda LM55. I love the car, but it obviously gets murdered by the hybrids on mid-speed acceleration. It's 15 mph faster by the end of the main straight, but that's the only place on the track where I'm not at a disadvantage. The 1 race I've done where I got the pit strategy right, I started 15th and finished 13th (got pipped for 12th by less than a 10th at the line because, you guessed it...I got out-dragged by a Toyota out of the final corner before my much higher top speed could regain the ground).

I'm averaging 110k Cr. a race, so it does pay back relatively quickly.

Finally we got to drive something new!!! Well kinda...

Two new track to learn in the same week, it's so refreshing.

Starting with Race B, best lap is 2:09:8 with the GTR. I'm getting better and better with the wheel. Manage two podium finish out of 17 races starting from mid-pack.

Race A is where I did my best race but SR took a hit. Only 4 SR to be gain in that race so every small tap will kill it fast enough.
QT of 2:11.9 put me on pole a couple of time or somewhere in the top 5. Manage to win 8 races out of 20 ish.
The car is fun to drive but we used them alot lately and there are so many cars in the game. it's sad, PD don't put much of an effort in selecting tracks and cars.

Also had one hell of a race with @BenRod from start to finish, it was great man.

Me, waiting 8 minutes for the next race after you just finished one in 6.

Yeah tell me about it. A and B race aren't long enough. Out of the 20 min cycle we only race 6-7 min out of it. What a waste of time.
Last week Race C, we only had to wait 4min. They have to put more lap on A-B even if it's "sprint race".

Add one more lap for Race A and B. Problem solved. Reduces wait times and makes for a more fulfilling race at the same time.

I'm spending more time hotlapping than actual racing with the current 7 - 8 minute wait time.

I totally agree. We need a bit longer weekly races in my mind ! Makes for more interesting racing. Now when the Manufacturers is longer, I think people get the taste for it,

Not that particular one, but there is one of those on the Sardegna track from last weeks Race A that I kept hitting in the Super Bee. It’s on the right just as you start to go down the hill.

Yes I know that one well. You would carry some good speed out of the corner and barely miss it with the front only to have the rear quarter catch it and spin you into the wall, :banghead: I'm really liking this week's combos. Already laid down some Q laps for the races, still some room for improvement there. Going to try to get some races in this week as last week only had time to do a couple. Sat night's lobby should be fun, should be able to make it 2 weeks in a row. :)

That just got me thinking, has anyone every checked on a replay if the driver physics work properly? For example, if you drive head on into a wall at speed, does the driver lurch forward upon contact? Or is he glued to his seat and doesn’t move? I’m curious now, I know I hit that wall at Sardegna with the front corner hard enough a few times to shorten up the passenger side wheelbase by at least a few inches.

So what's good for racing? I just made a livery for nothing?!

I plan to race the GTR tonight, will be my first race of the week. :)

Can we call the long straight that follows “The Drain Pipe”?

Anyone getting constantly disconnected?

Constantly no, but I have been dc'd twice over the last two days in less than 10 races. I didn't even get to the grid screen once and the other time I was on pole but got booted before the warm up and I saw another pole driver seemingly booted before the warm up in another race too and one removed from 1st place handing me the lead and eventual win.

That's probably it. I haven't checked, though. It would be pretty funny to fall out of a kart and have to run back to it.
Anyone else remember crashes on Excitebike?

You were correct Sir, Glued is the answer. :D

Did two races this afternoon and both were ok. Got 4 positions in one and 1 position in the other. Another guy pushed me to the wall and after the race he still sent a gentle ****. I had to report the guy. Not that I think it will change anything.

It does.

PSN in the last few years have become mental with cracking down on **** talk in messages.

I lost my 10 year main account due to this, end up with a perma-ban for calling someone a **** because of some trivial incident.

I think they get 2 or 3 warnings, then a 7 day suspension, then 30 day, then permaban. The thing is though, those don't expire.

So in my case I'd "verbally abused someone" in 2010-2012 then again in 2013, 2014 & then 2019 was when I got the permaban.

I have my own thoughts on people that report them for words said, but it is what it is.

I got to ask what you guys are doing your Fuji times in? I've just set a lap after I was done racing for the night and only trying to beat it in the wait before races so done everything in the TS050. Is it worth banging on for a faster one in one of the one lap wonders?

Also, had a guy so happy to race Fuji and get through Turn 1 clean he couldn't contain himself. First time I've managed to save a video of it.

I did mine in the Toyota, just because i love that car for GR.1, I think I did a 1:24.0 after about 5 or 6 laps and then never actually raced because its fuji which is a terrible track for me, i just wanted the decent-ish qualifying for the speedscore on kudosprime

TS050. The Porsche does have good hot lap pace, though.

I don't touch anything else in Gr.1

Partially because I like it. Partially because it always the Gr.1 meta. Partially because I don't like qualifying in cars that I have zero intention of racing.

Im the same way with that last part you mentioned.

I only generally qualify in the car I will actually race. I caught so many people out for easy wins at Sarthe that were using the VGT to qually, then hopping in the Toyota and just not having a clue where the limit of the car was, whereas I was already primed and ready to go before every race.
