I got to ask what you guys are doing your Fuji times in? I've just set a lap after I was done racing for the night and only trying to beat it in the wait before races so done everything in the TS050. Is it worth banging on for a faster one in one of the one lap wonders?

This:

2016-porsche-919-hybrid-lmp1-race-car-packs-900-horsepower-105818_1.jpg

is the qualy car for Fuji. For me there's not a huge gap between the TS050 and 919 in TT (less than 4 tenths in fact) but it can matter a lot. The 919 is significantly harder to drive than the TS050 though, its boost seems more powerful because it spins the wheels and goes straight no matter what. You have to point it in the right direction before stepping on the throttle at low speeds, otherwise you'll fly off the track :P

The boost that thing gets from the hybrid is mental. I've been chasing your ghost for the past half hour or so, and every time you come out of a corner, you jump ahead.

Well, that's my excuse for being a second slower than you, anyway

It does.

PSN in the last few years have become mental with cracking down on **** talk in messages.

I lost my 10 year main account due to this, end up with a perma-ban for calling someone a **** because of some trivial incident.

I think they get 2 or 3 warnings, then a 7 day suspension, then 30 day, then permaban. The thing is though, those don't expire.

So in my case I'd "verbally abused someone" in 2010-2012 then again in 2013, 2014 & then 2019 was when I got the permaban.

I have my own thoughts on people that report them for words said, but it is what it is.

I mean, I can take some **** and I would have no problems had I done something to the guy. I'm far from being a perfect driver and I eventually make mistakes. However, when the person purposedly hits and you and then swear at you 2 times in a very angry way things change.

Done mine in the Toyota, I just like it more though and seem to get on better with it than the Audi (don't have the Porsche on the account I qualify on!). I did probably 20 laps in the Audi, and a few restarts after getting dialled in to the track did a solid time. Jumped in the Toyota and beat it first lap

Three B races, three different cars.

First up was the GTR. I was one with the meta. I started in 2nd, and ironically, pole was on the Huracan. I quickly gained on them, but due to a couple small collisions with the wall, the Huracan was able to make the getaway, and I was battling with another GTR. We had some great battles, but at the end, the other GTR got a clean exit on the back straight and passed me, resulting in a third place finish.

Second race was with the GR Supra Racing Concept. Rebelling against the meta with the power of love and friendship... and power. Started on pole this time, and the GTR on 2nd was starting to gain on me, until something happened at the start of the bridge, where I was suddenly 2 seconds ahead. I was able to open the gap a bit more. First place finish.

Third and final race was with the F1 GTR. I didn't have much time to warm up with this one, so I knew I was in for a rough race. Started on pole again. I go a bit wide on turn 3, and have to let 2nd place pass me before the chicane. At the super blind turn, I get quite a bit of understeer, and the F1 ends up hitting the wall. 1st place gets away, and at the very end, I was close to getting passed by 3rd place (another GTR).

Still, overall, it was a good day. I came across @Sven Jurgens and a few other friends that aren't on here. Took home 700 DR bucks today.

A good race B tonight, started at p10 in the Mercedes GT3 16, had a running with a guy in a BMW coming out of t1 hem started to bump me wide when I tried to pass so I stayed right and over undered at T3. In the mirror he was doing the same thing to the next guy.
After the bridge and into "Bidet corner" I came up behind the front runners, they where all bunched up and had a major meltdown in the 90 degree right so I slipped through to p3, then on lap two I messed up my entrance to the bridge and got caught by a Italian guy in a Porsche. We filed it out, clean but hard, until he finally made a gap in the esses on last lap. Came in p4 by .3, Up 7 places.

I'm getting a bit frustrated with race B. It's not much fun racing from the back when it's only 3 laps.

Lap 1: Messy start as usual with the slowest qualifiers in front and often fast non qualifiers behind.
Lap 2: Resolution of the fallout of lap 1 with penalty zone and crash outs trying to regain position.
Lap 3: Desperate attempts to secure a good finishing position.

In other words, not a single clear lap to get a good pace. With a 4 lap race lap 3 is usually the one to set a good lap after the field has spread out a bit and the finish is still a lap away. In lap 4 you get to deal with penalty zone recoveries again. In a 3 lap sprint, there is no good lap.

I used the Supra today and the Huracan. @Mistah_MCA was in one of my races with the Supra, see above. I did get the clean race bonus there but was more busy avoiding people than racing them. Best lap of 2:12. The huracan fared worse as I got matched with mainly DR.C drivers. (They exist!). So much avoidance which continually unsettles the Huracan, best lap of 2:14 lol. My SR never left 99, but DR is down to 19.5K.

N200, not for me and I'm not touching Fuji with a 10 foot pole. No man's sky!

Yeah, I think I will stick to working with the Toyota since I like to qualify with the car I am going to race. Just feel silly when I have an optimal at one point last night as 1.3 better than my current time but can't string the lap together. Until I get bidet corner and the first turn right I am staying out of B. They have me struggling.

Did 2 race C before work. Lonely morning as 6 in first race and front 3 if us lapped the back 2 and 4th quit. Second race only 5 and 1st was long gone, had a great race with 2nd and somehow leapfrogged him in the pits, both in Toyota's. Lots of clean laps, respectful passing both ways. We lapped 4th and then put 2 laps on 5th. Quiet like morning tokyo races in the rain.

Yeah tell me about it. A and B race aren't long enough. Out of the 20 min cycle we only race 6-7 min out of it. What a waste of time.
Last week Race C, we only had to wait 4min. They have to put more lap on A-B even if it's "sprint race".
Wholeheartedly agree. Would be really happy if they staggered the race durations between the three offerings. Something like...

Race A: ~5-6 minutes (same as now)
Race B: ~10 minutes (3 laps -> 5 laps)
Race C: ~15-20 minutes (same as now)

Think that change to B would really improve the quality of racing while still providing an option for drivers that want quick hot lap races by going into Race A. Race C stays the same to offer the Endurance-lite fare that currently exists and seems to work well.

Wow, the next race was even better than the first one. The was a bunch of crowding going on on the first lap but I managed to avoid most of it somehow and snuck into 6th by the end of lap one. The two passes at the end were really fun though, especially the last one on the Canadian GTR. I can’t believe I didn’t bin it there.

The last lap. :)

I see you've ditched your usual livery. You going to go back to black and yellow?

My first race as El_Beardo_Grande in at least three or four weeks.

Do I justify my 39k DR?
Do I hit 40k?
Or, do I get dropped back down to DR:B?
I reached 40k for the first (and probably only) time at Tsukuba a couple of weeks back, and just left it there for a while. Couldn't resist St Croix though, its a great track. DR now falling back to normal levels :(

So, apparently what happens, is that I start on pole, make a few mistakes, pick up a penalty or two, and finish fifth. Balls.

Edit. Gained just over 100DR. So, not all bad.

Nice corner to take 3rd!

I was! It may be on your side rather than the server's. I had my PS4 connected via a powerline adapter that was split with another line so getting about 20 to 30 mbps speeds. It connected direct to LAN now (not split and not powerline) so getting 80+ mbps speeds. No drop offs last night and up from 4 green bars to 5 constant.

Yessir. That's a bingo.

But FFS!!! 10 minutes I'm never getting back and to add salt into the eye,,,,we wait till December to see which Toyota we are gifted

Soooooo, I ran a little bit last night at Fuji. I decided to only share the first 8 laps of the race (to show there was no 🤬🤬 on my behalf.

My area of concern is at the end of lap 7 where we pit, and the ensuing lap after :irked:. Could someone please tell me what I did wrong to deserve my fate in the shadow realm...TWICE!?!
I consider myself to be a pretty clean racer, but this was enough to have me considering an alt R4M account :mischievous:.

Edit: I'm in my usual black, and teal colors, and my muse is rated S/S.

My opinion is that he took that turn real wide (the one where you moved up to 3rd before the pit) and he thought, incorrectly, that you punted him. You didn’t, he flubbed the corner, and became a salty bastard afterwards.

In the following corner, you were ahead and he should have backed off and let you have your line but instead he punted you off the track, got a penalty, and then decided he might as well turn the race into a destruction derby.

After the 1st obliteration I thought someone accidentally missed their braking point . Then the 2nd one came, and I knew I had acquired a target on my back :scared:. And to add insult to injury, I flashed my lights at them on the straight beginning lap 6 to let them know they could have the correct line (trying to be fair and catch the car in front of them) only to have some 🤬🤬 like that pulled. I asked "wtf?" twice after the race, and got no response. :irked:

Now I see why some situations deserve to be dealt with using a big stick! Just hope I don't see 'em on the track tonight.....gonna cross that bridge when I get to it ;) :mischievous:.

The first hit may have been accidental, but I definitely got the sense the penalty triggered him to just forget about any sort of a race. Hope you don’t run into him again, but if you do, well maybe run into him lol

 @ run into him lol. I tried to keep it on the track, but my tires were trash after the boot. It also looked like they tried to get me going into the pits as well, but missed :dunce: .
