Drat missed Fia again, too much fun on the Nord. More more chance later.

I survived the Audi R8, currently my second worst car after the Renault. It keeps trying to kill me in the 3rd gear undulating corners. I managed to get one decent ish lap out of it sort of staying mostly on the road, a slow 8:39. A 12th and 7th place finish.

Of course turn up the pressure when I'm in a car I can hardly keep going the right way. 3 wide through the left right part of the NGP section.

Driving by radar. At the end the demise of @williams_v_r He thought picking the Renault RS 01 wasn't punishment enough so he started on heavy wet tires  Hopefully I didn't lag into you on your screen but I guess you were doomed anyway :/

I didn't realize was using wet tires (equipped since Tokyo wet race)
But next race started 5 finished 7 by an accident but the car's behavior was normal

Erm... ya. This is why I don't faff around with fuel mixtures while driving... it's too distracting! I leave it on 1 and short shift... *that* at least i can handle .

I am with you but cars like the M6 will never make it on FM1... I usually use 1 from start until reaching the Nordschleife. Then 2 and 3 for a while. Last race I build a 17s gap so I had to go all way to 6 on back straight.

So tonight I rode in again and rode off with two victories in b race...I have no idea why more users don’t go for the stability of an American classic model. Great torque and drive and stability...
I noticed online here that the fia nations was at Panorama...
15 laps?
Tires 11, light damage?
Of course I am in on the primary. I had no idea what to expect, I had no strategy except go fast. My qual idea was just hotlap and it worked. I made it to 8 of 20. After several laps I was sitting pretty.
It ended in a solid fourth. Plus 1300 good call.
I feel for race b the heavier faster cars are criminally underutilized.
My qual in the Ferrari was fastest by a tenth. But when it’s time to go in country give me stability and power...I will find a way around...

Cheers

PD needs to find a new time keeping partner . I went top see if the update was ready for download yet. Instead It let me fire up the game. I decided that i would go for a spin around the hell of green. During autodrive for the beginning of my pre-qually qually, it flashes up "server maintenance is in 6 hours". About a min later it came up with "server maintenance will be in 5 hours"... apparently it takes me more than an hour to do a lap of the GP section :banghead:. About a minute later it flashes up with "server update will begin in 4 hours"..... I think you get the picture. When I got to the second karussel, it was saying 10 mins to go. So... apparently my 8:43 mins was in fact 6h!!! :scared:

Okay that's long enough. Here I go! Got 2 hours before the update begins. Can't wait to finally learn SPA after all the chattering wishlists lol.
Well that wasn't so bad. Placed 5th in the first two, and 2nd in the third race. Didn't want to try the 0150 race so close to update time. All in all DR still going in right direction. Over 44k DR bucks now :dopey:.

what is this SPA that everyone is talking about?:lol::lol:

edit: also, have any of you ever seen this website before? I (for whatever reason) googled my PSN name and found it - an alternative to KudosPrime but in a nicer layout IMO.
Looking at the track records, it shows how many people have actually attempted each track as well https://gtsport.r1s3.net/

Got a question for everyone . In the replay, was I wrong the way I squeezed 2nd place at the end of lap 5? The entire race is here, and things started to get a little physical there at the end of lap 2 start of lap 3 near the start/finish line :scared:. I had a decent run on them then they turn into me twice intentionally :grumpy:! Now I'm seeing 🤬:censored:red, and am on the verge of making that R4M account again . I don't think they appreciated that TPC pressure . Anyway, I decided against it, and went with a better idea 💡. Instead of trying dirty tactics, I decided to not only beat them, but beat them at their own game :D. When I race I try to be as clean as possible, with good racecraft. If I'm wrong in any part of this race please don't pull any punches.

Nice find Leftcurl. *Sees QTs at Big Willow* Scratch that. 1:15.8xx? I can't fathom that lap time.

This is an older one, but it's one of my favorite Willow clips of all time.
Anybody get any great Willow crash videos yet for this week?

I've got several replays to sort through, so I'm sure there are some flyin' cars in there. Otherwise, I have some pretty epic qualifying spins & awful race drives of myself. @Mistah_MCA can return the favor & lose respect for me when I post a video.

Damn Spa!

It looks lovely at Dawn in the rain but why does the game not reset the tires :banghead: Luckily there were only 12 entries, 2 quit and the one in 9th had wet tires as well  Just 800 DR lost.

why does the game not reset the tires

Better question: why are Heavy Wet and Intermediate tyres an option in a race without rain?

Is it to throw people off guard, those who want to play Nightmare Mode, PD not trusting weather reporters or the more likely reason is it's a default settings template that's never altered in the event there are races with rain. Which there was. Once.

These 🤬 dive bombers at Willow Springs gave me another bad evening! Twice they cut on the inside, bumped me off with no penalty, and I wasn't able to recover. Dead last twice. At least one of the times was at T2 so I got ramp off the hill. Silver linings.

The good news is I have a serviceable QT for the 'Ring tonight- 8:55. Good enough for the middle-back of the pack and exactly the same as my best QT from the last time it was on Dailies. I imagine I could easily trim 20 seconds off, but I don't think I will. Too much pressure at race time.:gtpflag:

Managed to trim my time in the honda to a 4.190 and an optimal of 3.984 and i think thats it for me on that one. Did three races at willow and have nothing special to say about any of them. Went in to try some laps and, well see pic below...

Pretty sure that fence is not gonna save those guys lives.... not my biggest air but it was the most violent launch

After last week I've semi retired (as in still playing but avoiding the Daily A, B, C and BS) but I've done some qualifying laps. I hadn't realised there was an upper limit on the height you can reach but I suppose it makes sense. I bounced off the sky with this one:

*EDIT: With Spa released there's more reason for me to avoid the daily races this week.

Failed to match my Willow PB lap with the 86, improved it with the Trophy. Big spread on the top 10 leaderboard (0.4 secs?). The next four tenths cover hundreds of racers

Not ventured out to the green hell yet. Will try a few from the back tomorrow.

I knew I had to do an in-race jump today, but for the first race, I just wanted to do a regular race, and maybe get a top 3.

I was doing ok. Coming to the end of lap 4, I hadn't performed all that well, but I had 3rd place locked down, as there was a gap of a couple seconds ahead of, and behind me.

Final turn of lap 4, I hit the inside curb just a little too much, and it bounced me to the outside. Couldn't save it. It's especially difficult to save once the tires get dirty. So, since that race was shot, I started hearing Van Halen lyrics in my head (Ah, might as well jump. JUMP!)

This clip shows how I blew my race, then switches to the view of the car behind me, as I channeled my inner David Lee Roth.

@RacingGrandpa still using your livery until I get a win. 👍
