Perhaps the best GT Sport advice I’ve ever read. Though I will not heed it myself :)
Even more useful is monitoring your own actual times at each circuit in each car, drawing a line through the record every time there's a BoP update. The DR/SR data only tells you how you compare to other drivers. If everyone is improving at the same rate including you, your DR won't change even though your lap times are coming down, because everyone else is improving as well.
It also gives no indication of how much time other drivers are investing in practice. For someone like me who can only afford 8 - 10 hours a week, I've almost no hope of approaching the standard of a driver who is investing 4 - 6 hours a day in practice and racing. If enough drivers are getting more useful practice than me it's entirely possible that my DR will go down despite my personal driving standard getting better.

Lol some dirty French lad that doesn't like to be passed just spun me in to the pit lane just before the race finish, you couldn't write it hahaha.

I have several punts and spins in the Dailies lately from drivers of a certain country on the South American continent and not sure why. One performed a perfect PIT MANEUVER that I should send to law enforcement so they can put it in their training videos.

Just can not get to grips with having TCS set below 2, not like I haven't given it a good go, as have about 5-6 hours practice over the week and the best I can do is a 1.09 lap (Race A) with back swing from time to time and odd spin off.
It is noticeable that I am loosing positions having my TCS set at 2 even though I have 2 wins and best lap at 1.06.1 (usual lap time of 1.07.xx) have even done a 1.06 lap on TCS 3 lol.
Followed all advice given the other week but just seem to not get it right.

Well great week of race C for me, but only had time for 10 races or so, hopefully do more tonight! Helped me atleast stay consistent with my DR.

Goodluck next week folks!

oh! Remember F1 started today, may watch recap of that instead. Cheers

I can not give you any advice as i'm on the same boat as you. Can not pull a clean lap with tcs0 or 1. I even spinned on the start finish straight.
Set at tcs2 i can lap 1.04.xxx but i'm losing too much time. I'm trying to live with it.

That is a brill lap time, no idea how you do it but it's working for you, I'm way off that, I race with the thought that I'm only trying to set my best lap while dodging the others :)

Just had a wild race C as I thought it could be worth a go in the morning on the last day. Started p12 of 15. Was a bit cautious and ended lap 1 at p7. Was up and down a little as I sometimes got a wheel on the grass but nothing crazy. 1 guy who barged a few wide had a run in with another guy who was aggressive but not particularly dirty. They were having a slow down race up to the end, then it kicked off. I took a wild gamble and it paid off with 2 free positions.

Field was crazy. A/S driver through to D/D.

Thanks for the several views. Fun (funny?) to watch. It still baffles me that people beat and bang on each other like that. Because that's what real drivers do in real races? I don't think so. But when there's no threat of losing your money, your job, or your health, what the hell...

Had an enjoyable week at Suzuka.
Slow QT so highest I started was 16th, lowest I finished was 12th. Best finish was a few 4th places, was up for a 3rd place & possibly higher but had a dirty racer in group, they were called out before in chat, I tried to steer clear, didn't quite manage it & once I let the following pack through I was 12th :irked:. They got called out by 4 or 5 people in post race chat too.
The overall majority of the people I raced against at Suzuka were clean & honest, mistakes were made, myself included, I couldn't identify who I punted in one race so had to relegate myself to last, fortunately it was on lap 2 & managed to recover
:cheers::gtpflag:

Sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do. I can't lie, I drive TCS 2 for Gr. 1 & 2 cars. So this week I've had TCS on while driving at Suzuka. It got me a time good enough to start up front early in the week & I was able to grab a win.

Going to go with the RX-V at Barcelona. Atenza serves me will there. As the tyres wear(and fuel burn), that car gets better towards the end of the race.
Hopefully the RX-V doesn't kill me at the end of a lap.

As for Race B, I'm just going to call the Atenza out of the blue. Would be interesting if it's the Mustang or OyVeyron. Some wacky combo. If it winds up being the Huracan(yawn) or Citroen, I might sit it out.

Humans are overrated! (Lewis Hamilton as well)
I clean pass the dive inside idiots staying out, going full throttle early and pass the idiot inside out the corner. They take me out the next hairpin and quit. Happened 3 times.
I must consider not passing them idiots this technically. They think i insulted them.

PD are finally getting it!

Just hopped in Daily Race C for a try and it seems to be a simple no-stop race at Catalunya. Went for the Gr.3 Mitsubishi Lancer (BB 1 to the rear for me) because it is good in the twisty stuff, and it seemed to work fine. There is a little bit of tyre wear, but I started in the high 1:46's and finished with a 1:47.5 so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Seemed to be a few Beetles and Porsches in the race, but no real idea about what car is the best. No fuel worries for this race.

Admittedly, I didn't check the pit stop time, but I can't see it being low enough to worry about it. It is just the usual try not to die on the last chicane, and choose a car you are confident with because there is a lot of slow corners where the rear will come around on you if you aren't paying attention.

Nice having the top EMEA time until the proper drivers give it a shot (probably in the Audi R8?)

Slipstream doesn't come on until near the end of the straight. The correct lines have to be taken or you lose time. I've seen all I needed to see with Race B. PD need to switch the car right now.

Edit: Dagnabbit! Started 6th. Dropped a spot. Got it back. Was keeping up with the RX-V that placed 3rd, for half a lap. Got a small twitch of the rear, I veer a bit left, let the SLS thru. Tyres were still dirty. Was going okay, but at the final chicane, rear gave way end of Lap 6. Pitted since I was right there. Fell to about 12th. Made a couple spots. I was going to let P10 keep that position because the RSR in 8th, slightly tapped it and 10th gets the penalty. Oh well. Front runners were clean. Might be a good race to cruise.

Really enjoyed Suzuka and the gr.2 cars... not only because of the DR. I've gained (earned around 13k which granted me DR. A for the 1st time:D) but also the racing and the battles. For the most part it was clean and respectful.

Looking at this week, I'll probably be racing at race C again the whole week.

Just ran the Swift on race A. Currently a bloodbath in Asia. Was pretty much a Fit 1 make. Got punted from 2 cars back, pushed off on the straight and barged wide from the grass. Same guy. They get a Blue S, I lose 7 SR. Yeesh. Going to try the Fit now. There is somehow time to actually catch people if they make any mistake here.

Since I'm on a small break from making FIA guide videos, I decided to start putting in some time into the Daily Race guides. Race C rotated first, so I got to work there. Eventually decided "Hey, I already got a good time, let's do a quick, chill race; and get that part done with."

Some dude decided that that "chill" part wasn't going to happen.
This 1:30 AM "chill" race turned into a tryhard, sweaty race.

I tell you...

You WIN!!!

Well Sirocco is ok I guess, hopefully will be some good racing although I may just "skip" because really got myself into career in F1 2019 over the weekend and trying to see if I can miracle a championship win in my first career season in F1 as am currently 4th in the championship after 3 races

It's "fitting" that a certain car should be in race A but I am gonna steer clear of that one! Will also let myself out now after that "joke"

Race A can still be some good fun as the cars all have different pros and cons. Definitely dont like the Fit. Gears are weird. Hybrid as well? Thing actually spun the wheels horribly at the start. Stunned me.
Still a fun race if I can figure out turn 1 again
