That's an odd take... If everyone's doing it, can you really still call it cheating?
The point of setting quali times is finding the fastest way to complete a lap...even without the wallriding, people still cut corners in ways no other game would accept as clean.
It's how it is...no need to bash on the people for the game's shortcomings, come on.
It took a lot of scrolling back but now I understand what everyone's talking about and what I've missed the last few days.
I understand your logic that if all the top QT's are doing it, why not? I also understand where everybody else that is piling on top of you is coming from, as well. Let me try my take on it.
This is essentially exploiting a glitch in the game. It's not a true glitch, per se, but it essentially exploiting a problem with the game's collision physics (which we all know are problematic to begin with.) Yes, gamers will always look for every advantage they can gain, which is why most games have a clause in the TOS regarding glitch exploitation in online play. When discovered, the devs often quickly patch out the exploit and ban players that used the exploit. But we all know that PD is somewhat lazy in this regard. (Or at least not very proactive, if you want to be more generous.)
I understand feeling like you need to use it to remain competitive in this particular race, as many other people are using it and feeling like it is appropriate because PD is doing nothing to stop it. (Right now, at least.) However, taking a larger view of it, this is the type of behavior that would likely result in some sort of account penalty in most other online games. Also, given PD's history of slow reactions to online events, I wouldn't necessarily take their lack of action right now as them condoning (or at least ignoring) the activity.
