Dashboard Racing Cockpit Project.

ok, so I decided that I want to make a cockpit for my racing games. after looking at other peoples setups, I got some ideas.

first of all, I decided that I am going to buid my cockpit with a dashboard from a car.

secondly, I MIGHT put a mini-fridge in the centre console.

and I am going to invert the fanatec clubsport pedals.


ok, here is my setup Im currently using:

after lookinng around the scrapyard for a car I Can take the parts from, I found this MK4 Golf:

Specs:

Fanatec 911 Turbo S Wheel
Fanatec Clubsport Pedals
Fanatec Shifter
32 Inch TV
VW Golf MK4 Dashboard/Seats

UPDATE:

This is NOT the finished setup (i was given a second seat for free):

i might get the spare seat converted into an office chair

they costed £100 in total. i was given a second seat and dials for free though (the dashboard was £50 and the seats were £50 aswell.)

unfortunately not. i laughed when i saw that he had the disgusting things in his car though.

i hope there's nothing disgusting on my seats or dashboard...

Probably not. What kind of hardware are you going to use to drive the gauges?

LOL, mine had plenty of extra GLASS, that sure didn't belong there!

theyre just for show at the moment. i might get them to work if i get a gaming pc though

If you buy two revburners from Symprojects, get two power supplies, everybody can get a tacho and speedometer to work on pc. This is not compatible with the PS3 though.

Yeah that's my problem too. I did some research and cannot find anything that will work with ps3. They are awesome with pc though.

The VW Golf seat sliders are welded to the frame of the car, so we figured out a way to move the seats:

Sick man....love the working speedo and tack.... I would have gone with a corvette interior...personaly. But love what you did. Great work. I cant wait to see it finished.
