Daytona 24h 625pp Car and setup

Any suggestions on a good car for the Daytona road course with 625. I use a mclaren and I didn't know if there are many better cars for that. And I'm still struggling with a setup.

corvette zr1 is always worth a go, might not be the most sophisticated car, but god damn is it fast! Try TCS 1 and SRF if you are having trouble with grip, makes a real difference without being too invasive. The F1 has always been a tricky beast, I've always avoided it because its just too twitchy

Thanks! The zr1 seems to be lame when in the corners though.

It can be a bit tail happy if you try and nail it out of the corners, but if you show it some respect it will be devastating. TCS1 and SRF make this a really easy car to drive fast

Iris fast but when I go to race online with it with a good setup it still can't keep up with some of the mclarens.

Hmmm.... can't really help you then, sounds like your only option is to get better with the F1. Its a tricky car to drive because it has a lot of power and a relatively short wheel base, this makes it very prone to swapping ends. I can't think off the top of my head what spring rates it runs but I remember it being high = soften the springs to add grip.
If you are spinning under braking the increase the LSD deceleration, if you are getting wheel spin out of corners drop the initial and the acceleration settings. Running a low rear toe setting and a negative front toe will make the car more stable in general.

It's not that I can't control it. It's almost like the power isn't getting to the ground. It seems to spin the tires on exit with minimal throttle.

are you feathering the throttle out of bends? I never found that car too much of a handful, I find the F1 a lot more tricky to drive personally. Maybe try adding some ballast and shifting the weight to the back to even the distribution or reducing the LSD Acceleration settings or Innitial?
