Thanks for all of the comments guys, i appreciate them all!

Here is the shot that i edited for the 2.0 tournament...click full size!

I love the shot. I voted for it as well as it just grabbed my attention right away. I had a little scuffle trying to get my attention back from it after;)

Just to say....that shot rocks D_P...love every detail. Congrats!!

Thanks everyone. I must apologize for the lack of updates, its just that i havent been feeling much of my recent attempts...despite this, i have managed a little random update...enjoy and comment!

Like I said, Im not too happy with most of these, but critiques are always good...

By the way, i came sooo close to buying a DFP the other day, but didnt end up doing it, i feel like its too late...i still might get it, but im not sure...But one question that i have is whether or not it will be compatible with the PS3, ive heard that since its a usb cable, that it will, but they didnt know for sure...does anyone know?

Nice Pics. The Audi and Skyline are my faves. And on the DFP, I dunno, because I don't have one. They would probably come out with a new wheel by the time that gt 5 comes out.

the pics look awesome, i like the the AE86, R32 and SST the most.
You say you aren't happy with most of the pics you made when most of them look great. Great update

Good to see you back D_P 👍

All of the pictures look nicely, great angles of cars, nicely cleaned up and a sweet blur as a cherry on top of a cake ;)

BTW: I recently a DFP too, didn't regret it ;) But if you want to go for the best wheel, then there's the Logitech G25 ( costs $300!)

U should update more mate (If U have time of course) because these shots are great. The AE86, Focus RS and the RS6 shots are my favourites...love the blur work...U do that very well IMO. Keep it up mate, your shots MUST be seen:)

Great blur effects!! I really like your angles wich are perfect for perpective effects. They are awesome!! I specially love the AE86 and Vantage shots.

The Audi RS6 is one of your best shots, which I have seen in a while.

D_P, you really have a good eye for very dramatic angles! I'll go through each picture:

Trueno - That track is hard to get good shots off, so that's an accomplishment right there. The angle makes for a really good sense of speed, but the road is a bit blurry. The colour and cleanup are both great, though!

R32 - I already said it in the comp thread, but be careful with noise. It can detract from an otherwise great shot :).

NSX - This is an aesthetic thing, but I feel like the wheels are too small, and/or the ride height is too much. Something needs to be done about that... but I love the colour tone of the shot, so I'm on the fence overall.

Jag - If there were a shot that should start GT4 up, that's it. The feelings, the nostalgia, the lone car beating around the track. Just awesome, and proof that simple isn't always bad 👍

RS6 - Those wheels look absolutely incredible! It's too bad it looks like the car just hit lightspeed ;).

Focus - Very clever angle, the car's speeding... off the side of a boat? Well, nobody can tell, and it works, in this case. The reflections are nice, there's a nice feel to the shot, and while the A-pillar and surrounding area seem a bit out of focus, it's a minor nit-pick. Overall, very well done!

Aston - I wish people would be more adventerous like this with their angles. It totally heightens the sense of riding the edge of traction, and the less intense colours work very well for this shot. The relationship with the back half of the car and the dirt behind it seems odd, but I can't place my finger on why. Not that it matters too much; this shot is far and away the most dramatic 👍

SST - Now that's the right amount of noise. The geometry of the shot works, drawing the eye through the picture, and the truck stands out very well because of the colour. Also, it's driving towards the sun, a brighter spot on the image, again forcing the eyes along a path. Very well done, that tiny bit of glow (or am I imagining it?) is just icing on the cake :)

Thanks a lot guys, i really appreciate all of the comments, concise or lengthy. Thanks. And a big thanks to you Slip, i really appreciate your in depth critiques. i only wish that you had done that on some shots that i felt worthy of praise...haha, but thanks man!

Here is one shot that i did the other night, took a long time cleaning it up, still could clean it up even more, but oh well...let me know what you think!

Very nice. I like it. One thing, tho: try making the noise less pronounced on the right side of the picture (at least on the road), as it stands out too much - almost more than the noise in front of the car. It makes it look fake, IMO.

Other than that, great composition and color. Very well balanced.

Thanks guys, and Dman, i know exactly what you mean, i need to be more carefull when trying to texturize the road, it can def. ruin a photo...

Yeah. Don't overdo it.

I dont know exactly how you do it, but basically make the opacity of the noise on the right side progressively less before you blur it.
