Veyron can corner, in fact it has outstanding cornering ability IMO.

I went with standards to premiums. If I want a race care, I'll buy one that has already been built.

As much as I appreciate race mods, most of my favourite cars are standards so I'd like to see at least some of them get upgraded to premium!

Standards to premium.

I'd love to see the DTM, JGTC, and group C cars become premium.

Tricky Question.
I am down for more RM's because Allllloooot of cars get ignored because of the disadvantage of having no (front) downforce.

I would like the RM package to have a few additions though.
Custom Skins (Might be a long shot)
Custom Rim sizes (width/height)
Custom Tire sizes (width/height)

I disagree with "COMPLETELY abandon standard cars" and the comment "because they are outdated"

Race modding is a strange concept, since for the most part when you upgrade the car with the various tuning options you are in theory... modifying the car for racing. With that said, its a cool feature but id much rather an extra 700 or so cars at premium quality. I really dislike the standards, they are such a massive drop in quality from the premiums.

A bit of each, I guess.

Some more cars in RM, specially hot hatchbacks and sedans and some cars in Premium, like the Group C cars.

While Race Mods are a nice feature, I'd rather have a premium MGF, aswell as many other iconic cars that deserve the premium treatment.

Without question standard to prem. You have a whole bunch of race cars already in standard that look like junk and have no cockpit. Let's get those up to snuff first.

Don't forget some type of ALMS series too ;)

You're right.

Actually when I think of it. How the hell is it possible that they found it more important to make Nascar stockcars premium than ALMS/Group C etc?

The reality is that if and when PD release a car DLC, it's not going to have any more than a handful of cars **cough**more skyline**cough**.

It took them more than 5 years to do ~200 premium cars with lots of glitches and bugs. There is no way they are going to do redesign the other +800. Not in PS3's lifetime, anyway. GT7 and PS4, maybe/hopefully.

Just keep in mind that they also had to upgrade all the tracks within these 5 years ehh? I mean....the way the ring has been modeled probably lasted several months too. And that's just one of the tracks in GT5.

I chose race mod premium simply because most of the standards are outdated models.

+1 agreed. The older cars have a real "been there done that... in GT 4 no less!" sorta feeling to them. Fun to be able to drive them again but how many newer models have we seen in the real world since GT4???

Also, if you look at this "debate" realistically, I think its more likely for PD to make some 150 race mods for premiums than remaster 800+ cars to premium quality.

RM could be a definite short cut here... PD need to think about future installments and to update the old cars would only mean they are staying around for yet another installment... and by then they will be classics... I'm not sure I will ever enjoy a classic Prias...

If they split their time between 1 RM model for several select existing cars and building new cars to be later released and intended to be included in GT 6 it would make more business sense... You really don't need more fidelity than the premiums are now... what 100k pollys or something?

But what will PD do if they don't push the limit to 150k? They might need to work on a game and that might yield some odd results /sarcasm

They have to upgrade the standard cars to premium anyway otherwise GT6 would get absolutely slated for no development with 800 standard cars and/or only 200 premiums from GT5.

I really think PD have messed up with this. I mean they say they have modeled the premium cars in so much detail that the PS3 cannot show it all. This doesn't mean that when the PS4 comes along they already have 200 cars made as if the standard cars were also modeled in too much detail for the PS2, the proof of the quality is there for us to see when you try to bridge a generation gap.

I think a common point here is that almost all of those 800 standards are older cars, 4-5 years old and not really relevant or destined to be classics in any way.

PD need to focus on newer cars... I don't think anyone will be happy with the same cars from GT4 in GT6, yet again... goodness knows how many years later that will be.

There are SO many newer cars, newer technologies in those cars, newer styles, etc... PD don't only need to up date their game design philosophy but also their garage...

EDIT: some could argue that PD only did 200 cars in the past 5 years for GT5... and of those many based on Prologue... This isn't a literal argument but figurative one...

I'd rather see all the standard cars be converted to premium. I play in the cockpit view for all the premium cars, and some of my favorite cars are standard, so I have to use the roof cam. I'd love to be able to have cockpit views in all the old muscle cars, the Yellowbird (all RUF's actually) Group C cars, ect...

Premium isn't even needed for cockpit view though. Just stuff interiors into the standards.

I'd rather have standard to premium. There are already a ton of fast cars in the game, I don't need to modify everything into a race car.

Hmm..double edged sword.

I would love for all the standards to become premium, but thats impossible.

While, having all the premiums RM'able would be cool, I hate the current RM livery. The big ugly white block with ugly font selections. UGH. I wish you could add just numbers, no box. They would have to do better than the current RM on the other premiums.
