would've changed the gears or something.. gotto gear too fast and doesn't even looks so fast actually..

It makes kids cry because it's such a total s***box.

An object lesson in how not to tune a car for road use. I noted that he was turning it on the starter for at least a minute, and then it simply didn't want to run at less than 3,000 rpm. Then he had absolutely no traction in spite of (illegally) fitting slicks to the front.

The whole thing is so wrong on so many levels...

Exactly!

can't you guys tell that it's a drag-race car..? everything in it absolutely shouts "WOO, I'm a dragster!" though, fwd and dragster is about as funny as mosquito net in a submarine..

I'd rather have a car that is fun to drive instead of just fast. I'll bet you waste so much concentration with throttle control that you don't even get to enjoy the car. And even if it IS a dragster, then in that case they chose a bad layout for it anyways.

It doesn't matter what wheel-drive it is. It's faster than anything you'll ever own.

Really? And on anything other than a straight road? Because let me tell you, my 1.8 Focus with me in it could take that thing on any Scottish country road. And the Focus isn't even the fastest car I've owned.

It could be faster if he put skinnier rears on it. in a straight line, that is.

however, i'd do as PD did with an engine like that....put it behind me and make it an LM Edition.

Amen. I wonder why PD dfidn't put Del Sol LM edition in GT3 or GT4. it was my favourite in GT1 and 2. thoughg, in GT2, it's closest rival, cerbera LM did beat it every time, except in handling.

It's a purpose-built car.

Exactly how many cars like this do you see on Scottish country roads? I digress. The point you fail to see is, it's a DRAG CAR. Not a 95hp 1.8 Focus that bombs around on Scottish country roads, dodging farm animals. And calling this car a ****box is comical.

Considering you obviously (like most here) have zero knowledge as to what it takes to build and maintain a fwd car at this level, I won't point my finger and laugh at you.

arent drag cars supposed to have proper harnesses? as you appear to say it is specific to the strip surely it shouldnt have standard seatbelts i swear i saw the passenger grab in that vid  especially when it apparently runs 10s, its just a nippy street car surely :odd:

That is a bit much for street use, but i'll be damned if anyone puts that much money into their car and doesnt want to drive it alot. Jebus.
