It's very nice that Vettel won and I respect him for it. But if they would make it more special and stuff they could just given us his F1 car and not a freakin X1 that everyone will get at lvl 35 B-specc(This edited) anyways, come on..

How cool would it be to have his F1 car in this game. That would be very special to have.

Nine??? How on Earth did you get nine of these 20 million credit worth cars? There are only four "free" ones, did you actually spend 100 million credits just to get them in different colors?

Anyway, although I agree that receiving Vettel's F1 would be awesome, like others have said, A LOT of people don't have a single X1 yet. I know my more "nooby" friends are having a blast with their free gift. Also, I never understood why anyone would complain about the X1 in GT5. Unrealistic? Yes. But tons of fun? For me and many others, yes. And if it's not for you, then don't use it. You have 1,000+ other cars to have fun with, so why complain?

Guys so what you hate it this is for the celebration of Sabastian Vettel winning the championship so guy don't complain that you get a 20,000,000 dollar car that has 1400 HP + so congratulate Vettel

yep pretty pointless giving everyone one of them as now they dont have to grind bspec or aspec to get one. its rubbish. not even a real car. they could of provided us something better

This is gonna be pretty much the end of this thread. They are not able to give you the RB7. They can't even model it! They don't even have the license for it except Ferrari. I don't know why they have Ferrari but not the rest but they must have some excuse or something. So...

That about sums it up. This thread is the same thing as whining about prestige over the cars in the game, besides the cars that can only be one by Golding certain events. The Carbon X2010, for example.

Maybe he traded for them when the limit wasn't enforced yet.

Its easy. All the Teams selled they licences for Video-Games to Mr Mosly. and he selled them to ... actually its codemaster i think.

well ferrari DIDN'T sell they licences to Mr Mosly, so they can sell them to codemaster. pd ... ea and whoever they want.

It's true that they might not be allowed to do it, but do you know if they can or cannot? Does anyone on this forum know anything about that deal?

It's quite simple. PD can create what ever they want, they just can't use the real name for a specific car, unless they have bought the rights to do so. Now, I don't know how much gaming companies have to pay the car developers, but I'm quite sure it's a decent amount of money. My reason for thinking that is the very high development cost of GT5. Would be surprised if licensing rights didn't have a large impact on that cost.
Keep in mind that they have to pay for each model name they want to use. It just wouldn't be a smart finiancial move by PD to go out and buy yet another license from Red Bull, just so that they can give us a free gift.


Yes I might have broken the "Terms of Use", but I'm getting sick and tired of people constantly complaining about unimportant things. I swear to god there's a new thread comming every day where someone complains about something new. Now, that wouldn't be a problem if it was a legit complaint, like the AI or something. But it usually isn't.

@Snilex I feel sympathy for you, but I can't say I agree with you. I fine with them giving away a free X2010 as I'm never going to use it. And I congratulate Sebastian Vettel for the great accomplishment. What does bother me now is everyone who uses them in lobbies acting stupid with them. Yes I know you can restrict them, and I know people are going to start saying "So they weren't bad drivers before?" Yes they were bad drivers before but it's almost like the X2010 multiplies how terrible they are! They go so fast around trying to show off that they have fun ramming people trying to show their other cars to people. But the novelty will wear off eventually and we'll soon be back to how GT was before they did this. So I'm not worried.

Man, I'm happy with any free content, especially cars and tracks. If they sent me a special horn or new paint chip I'd be happy with that. In fact, I think PD really misses the boat on that one. Everyone loves free stuff in spite of the b*tching you read on GTPlanet. For every negative comment you read here, there are a thousand people saying, "Nice, free stuff!!"

How cool would it be once in a while to find something in your inbox once a week/month, like 5 sets of racing tires or an "AAAA-oooooooo-ga" horn or a fully tuned by an expert Skyline GT-R in chrome paint. Cost PD next to nothing, and I think it would really help to keep fan interest perking.

Oh yeah, about finding them in online lobbies you guys do know you can put weight/hp/pp limits on rooms to prevent that right?...lol.
