Word of Crota nerfed still does more damage than Epilogue ever will. If you get Epilogue first... good luck is the best I can wish.

Yeah it's not the best, won't get an argument from me there. Crota's End, whether it be Normal or Hard just isn't that difficult to me. Outside of the ridiculous handicap it's actually a breeze.

I'd definitely offer you a spot for an HM clear with my clan but we typically run it late at night.

Word of Crota is a good but unspectacular hand cannon. Epilogue is, well, garbage. You definitely want VoC, however. It along with Fatebringer are the stars of VoG. I can't tell by the way you wrote the post but did you think VoC is void? If you did, it's actually solar.

Nope, I know it's solar. Void primaries are ridiculously underrepresented. There are only two total. And I really want a void scout rifle.

Yeah, a void scout rifle would be nice, especially since scouts are my favorite class. Maybe HoW.

I thought there were only 3 Arc and 3 solar primaries though? If so I don't see how 2 vs 3 vs 3 is severely underrepresented

It becomes even less represented when moving into exotics. There is only one void exotic weapon compared to multiple each for solar and arc.

Oh trust me I'm aware of that I actually just yesterday looked at a table of all the exotics and figured out the distribution of the elements and it's pretty baffling how bad the Void scene is.

Timepiece, Fatebringer (Found Verdict is a shotgun), Fang of Ir Yut, Necrochasm, Oversoul Edict. Oh and for added measure, Fate of All Fools will also be arc.
 
I've been using Atheon's Epilogue for a bit, and it's not very good. It's low impact for one thing, but it's also extremely low stability. Until you get the Perfect Balance perk it's barely usable. It's really only good for shredding apart Minotaurs, which it does really well. That's probably what it was designed for in the first place, since they have void shields and no crit point.

It is. Plus for the thorn bounty. It has more of a use than necrochasm, which is worthless.

Strategy for Nexus may work:

The easier thing to do is to pop his head off then lead him back to the entrance of the other cave (right before the army of goblins). Pop arc blade and vanish once he's on his way to that cave then run back. He'll stay at the entrance looking for you forever and you can take your time popping the Nexus.
 
RNGesus was remarkably generous to me on the Nightfall this week. On my first run, it saw fit to bless me with Thunderlord. On my second run it gave me Suros Regime. Both of which I didn't have before.
 
If anyone wants me to show them essentially how to remove the Minotaur on top I will do so. I just ran it with my friends and did it for them and there were no issues at all.

We did it with 3 people and just kept an eye on the radar. I found that the Minotaur is actually beneficial, because killing it gives ammo.

The method I found removes it entirely. It doesn't come back. In Nightfall that eliminates any sort of pressure.
 
So my buddy just got the Suros from a legendary engram, then got Sunbreakers from a legendary gauntlet engram. What is life.

My friend got Suros, G-horn, Icebreaker, Epilogue all in one night. I couldn't be more jealous. Then when we play weekly he's the only one to get a legendary engram.
