Hey guys, I'm an owner of the Driving Force GT and I'm wondering, if it is possible to pull off a H-Shifter Mod for the DFGT that can be used on Gran Tursimo 5. I'd be happy if I can recieve DIY's (videos/forums) thanks!

Even if it was possible it would be expensive. Some G27 mods cost as much as the wheel.

For the dfgt i'd say no. But if its just for gt5 I'm sure you could mod something into a second controller....

I didn't know you could map H-shifter to a second controller in Gt5. With a PC you can use any second controller (including H-shifter) with most games.

You can definitely use two controllers in gt5 (the only ps3 game you can). So get a wired ps3 controller and mod something into it....

not sure its worth the hassle though as you will have no clutch pedal, and in any case h pattern shift with clutch is rubbish in gt5 anyway...

The TH8RS shifter is used with a clutch on GT5 and its very far from rubbish

I'm curious what do you base your comment on?

You can't.

The only way you can use an H shifter with GT5 is if the wheel natively supports a clutch and a shifter with the notable exception of the T500RS and TH8RS. You can't map an H shifter to a controller.

@Carson

I use a g27, I'm talking about the games implementation of the clutch rather than the hardware. I suffer from mis shifts all the time when going down the box. This does not happen on race07 for example which I run on PC...

@Coxis

I stand corrected

Makes sense now that you mention it. Controllers can only shift up and down with the analog simply being "flicked" up and down, and that's how far the realism will get. Thank you for the help though guys, appreciate it.
