I liked cars as a kid, but GT got me to really admire them. Since then, I can identify different cars.

The love of cars attracted me to the game. Unfortunately the Lamborghini's weren't there in the beginning. I still remember just buying a gameshark to get the NOMAD in GT3.

Always loved cars, Gran Turismo made loving them, even better. You should make a poll for this ;D.

It's a bit of both. I liked cars and watching motorsports on TV when I first bought GT1, and I liked the game a lot. That made me love cars and motorsports, which made me love GT2 when I bought it... and so on.

GT brang me to love cars.

Same here. GT has brought soooo many different cars to the surface for me. It increased my knowledge as far as car parts and tuning. Things I wouldn't have known about prior to playing GT. On the flip side. The tracks have brought me to love GT. That's why I am a bit disappointed in the number of tracks/events.

Always loved cars. First memory is blasting along the Pacific Coast Highway with my dad in his Jaguar XK-150.

When Gran Turismo came out, I found a way to drive some of my favorite cars in the world on some of the best courses in the world, and it's only gotten better since then.

GT made me really get into the car world. I read every manufacturer's description and quiz my mates on car trivia. Even now none of them know what BMW means, despite my awesome pronunciation

Only ever played shooter games , Call of Duty's . I always liked to drive but never attempted to care about knowing what the car could actually do. GT5 has awoken a love for cars, and Call of Duty is just collecting dust.

For me it is kind of a cyclical response. Being the son of a mechanic, and short track tech inspector at the time, I grew up around cars so I had a deep appreciation for them at a young age. Kind of stumbled on GT by accident. My parents rented a PS1 for the weekend (back when you could go to a game store or rental store and actually rent consoles) and one of the games rented was GT1. When I finally got my own PS1 the first two games I got were GT1 and GT2, as the latter had already come out by then. Have gotten every GT since and don't regret it, as it has only heightened my love of cars.

I can say if it wasn't for the GT series, let alone GT5....I probably would never get into cars and racing games heavily like I'm now.

Its to the point where I'm thinking about checking out the f1 2011 season.

GT most certainly influenced my automotive passion. As with most teenagers, I always liked exotics and other fast cars...but back at 16 (when the first game was released), I actually wanted a conversion van more than anything else. Playing the first game quickly changed my mind, and my first car ended up being a Z31 300ZX.

My love to cars brought me to buy Gran Turismo. But thanks to Gran Turismo, it expanded my view and experience with cars and added some new perspectives.

I've always liked cars and started to love them before I ever touched the GT franchise. SSo I guess you could say that my love for cars sparked my interest in the GT series.

However, it was Gran Turismo that shifted my interest in cars more towards JDM stuff, which I didn't really care about back when I was a kid. I was all about super cars like the F40 or the Diablo and didn't really know anything about cars like the Skyline GT-R. Nowadays, those are the cars that I probably care the most about, due to all the research I did after I first noticed them in GT and thought they were cool.

I've love cars as a child and I've played other racing games, but when I played GT1, it all changed. My love for cars really ignited after I've played GT.

After all these years when I can finally understand better. I've followed racing and even rally, which I found weirdly comforting to watch. Growing up, thanks to GT, somehow a passion for racing stayed with me. I'm not a car nut or anything, I just like it. Like all guys, I found it comforting being behind the wheel, especially while learning to drive from my dad, my love for driving exploded.

I've never been on a track except for Go-karts but now that GT5 is out in the PS3, I could relive those lost hours I had from GT3 and GT4.

I think its brought be new love for cars, ive always liked them but now i know alot more about them, theres stats, how they handle and so on. I find myself being excited when i see one of the cars i own on GT5 on top gear and going on the PS3 to try beat the stigs lap time (always succeeding ;) ) :)
