Did you decide to import your GT3 savegame to get the extra money?

I didn't. I wanted to start like I did in GT3. With nothing. Since the physics are completely different, I need to learn to drive again. I need a lower powered car with bad suspension, so there is a learning curve, instead of just immediately having $100,000. That makes the first races useless.

I agree. Not only do I want to learn the hard way, but amateur racing is incredibly expensive and you have to be very careful to make the most of your money. I want that as part of the additional challenge.

I'm starting by getting as many gold licenses as I can and using the prize cars from those.

Well, I guess i'm kind of a wuss. I did import the money. But that was mainly for my drifting cars so I could have fun when I get annoyed with the racing leagues and what not. So, I guess it's not too wussy, right? :scared:

Don't have GT4 yet, but when I get it (9th of March I hope....) I won't be loading GT3 or Prologue savegames to get extra credits. I want to play everything in the game (except the endurances....) and get the full experience!

OK, i have voted but haven't got the game yet, i have the GT3 save and GT4P save and won't import either of them, the second GT4 comes to my house, into my PS2 and if it is working, im DELETING the other GT saves

Why delete them? You can leave them on the same card. It offers to let you import the money but it doesn't do it automatically. I've got my GT3 and GT4 saves on one card.

Your call. I'd never do it. Besides, you can only bring 100,000 credits into GT4.

I would definitely transfer my garage to GT4, to get a head start, but not my money. I wouldn't transfer my License's from GT3, either. I want to master the new physics engine.

I will have it at the end of the week. I plan to import the 100k, but spend it on used cars and not tune them out the wazoo - that way its still just as hard but I have a more diverse garage to choose from. I will not import my licenses.

Considering this is my second attempt at this game, I bought the chinese official version a couple months ago. I wanted some cash to have since I had nothing first time around.

So it's the best of both worlds :)

I don't know what to do when I get it. (9th March  ) I see what you mean that it's more of a challenge to not import the money but when I get it I might not be able to resist. I'll try not to!

I just the game save and proud of it! :sly: .. Hey what can I say? I lost my mojo!!! ... like Event Horizon, I need to learn how to drive again.. but with the BMW M3.. and yes, I'm broke now.. :(

I want to start off on a clean slate. It just depends how much i could take before i get fed up with the grip racing before i need to go back to drifting.

i dont get gt4 till the 11th march but i will be transferring money, however, i will spend less than 10k on my first car and use the rest to buy a car that i want to use outside the simulation mode or at least until i get annoyed with slow cars

I imported the cash and the B and A licenses.

Funny thing is, I went back and did all the B and A licenses anyway (All silver with a few golds). I see no problem with it, first thing you want to do is start racing when you get the game.

I thought about it last night while playing but because I was to tired & to lazy to actually read the manual on how to do it exactly...I'm now not going to bother with it...As others have stated, I want to start from a clean slate, just like I did w/GT3...

Maybe one day, if it ever comes, that I get tired of playing GT4...I'll opt for one of these just to see what can be obtained and how much money can be obtained!

Until then though...I'm doing it the all natural way...get as many golds as possible to get new cars, run a few races, make money, stick money won back into newer, faster cars & start all over again.. ;)

I did the GT3 to GT4 transfer for both $$ and Licenses. (Yeah Wuss, Cheater, etc.)
But went and did Lic. B & A anyway (to get cars of course)
Credits to buy Mustang GT (sweeeeeet)

Note: To those who "bronze only", you can not get another car if you "silver" or "gold" all tests. Found this out last night. At bonus car screen look at the bottom of screen it says you can only win this one time :grumpy: :grumpy:

i'll be getting the 100k from my gt3 save, cuz what i love most about the game is buying lots of cars and tuning all of them and getting the best times on all the tracks. to me the races/progression in sim mode doesn't really matter as much...

Are you sure? In the asian copies you can. If you all gold the first time, you get all 3 cars. They might have changed it but I doubt it. What it means by you can only win this once, is you can only get a license prize once, but if you do silvers, you will get the silver car.

Sure did. It's a game. Have fun do whatever is fun. You should've had your start from the beginnings out of the way by now...GT1, GT2, GT3.....hint hint.. anyway, have fun playing.

Wo! I'm confused. Are y'all saying that if i get bronzes on a liscence test and get the bronze car I can't go back and get the silver car later on?
