Saw this at a small show in SF Japantown. Owner claimed it was a 64 and it looked pretty legit, plus it gets run at the Monterey historic races. A closer look revealed it has a bogus chassis # plate, though. Had a 347ci (stroked 302) instead of a 289, also.

Every Cobra and Daytona coupe that were actually built by Shelby should have a chassis# starting with CSX. I tried to find info about this MSC#, but didn't find anything. Shelby registries also turned up nothing.

It's obviously not one of the original 6 built in 64-65. I'd call it a very good fake, since most people won't know about chassis #s, but I wish the owner wouldn't claim it's a true 64.

^ Happen to know how to single out a legit Ferrari 250 GTO? There's one that shows up at various shows in northern Colorado; saw it twice at the downtown show in Fort Collins, once at Goodguys in Loveland, but somehow never at Concours or Automezzi in Denver...

Speaking of Automezzi (Italians only). This year, in Wheat Ridge on Sunday. I'm going to skip my agreement to the 10-limit on account of there being few photos; my camera died after just a few shots and I had to break out my useless Garmin phone:

'69 Alfa Spider. After seeing these legit Panasports, it was a bit weak looking at XXR and Rota knockoffs on someone of these beautiful classics.

Overheard:
Guy 1 looks at 8 plug wires: "It's a V8!"
Guy 2: "There are two plugs per cylinder"
Guy 3 chuckles: "There are only four exhaust ports"

And before that, a woman said she saw a Tesla somewhere only to be reminded by her husband that it was in the parking lot, that the show was Italians only.

Am I alone in thinking this kind of stuff, and mispronunciations of old names, are bordering on hilarious considering the assumed enthusiast level of this kind of show?

Enter the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, I don't know why it's taken me so long to get a picture of a baby Aston.

This car show had a few Corvairs.

and now I can conclude that I've seen all of the 4th Gen Anniversary Camaros.
