First off, I would like to ask if this is the right place for this thread.

This is the place to post all of your non-automotive sightings, such as airplanes, helicopters, boats, trains, RV's, and whatever other non-automotive vehicles you see!

There are a few rules, such as:

-We prefer to have pictures with the claims, nobody wants to read about seeing Concorde without seeing a picture.

-Please try not to get off-topic.

-Just like with the DYSAGT Automotive threads, one thing that might boring to see in your area might be considered rare or cool to see in someone else's area, although it's probably less likely for this to happen in this thread.

-Unless someone wants to create a separate thread for shows, things like air shows, RV and boat shows, and train shows, pictures and videos from shows are allowed here, just be sure to say that you saw it at a show if it is not clear in the picture.

-Most of all, have fun and don't get in any arguments about anything unless it breaks the rules.

Feedback on the rules is welcome! 👍 :)

Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS I think. In Florida.

Are bikes (motorcycles) allowed here? I know there's a thread in the motorcycle section but it's pretty abandoned.
I hardly ever have bike spots so if you prefer not I'll put them in the car thread.

Nice idea, I work close to a military base but never have a camera at work so it will be hard to get some spots :)

Motorcycles are allowed here, but I think they're allowed in the other thread too, so whichever one is fine.

I live close to a military base as well and there are always planes flying over my house. Yesterday someone in an airplane similar to a P-51 was doing some aerobatic maneuvers over my house, but I don't think it was military related unless it was for training.

Yay! Reckon this thread will be interesting. Here are some pics from me from the past year or so. Some of them are of cool vehicles, and some of them are of not so cool vehicles, but I hope they're all interesting in some way.

Delivery!

HOLY HELL.

Those solar boats are amazing. Also, once again, wtf Hong Kong, wtf...

Aaaand also, you could post the bike pics in the bike thread? You could keep it alive all by yourself  some of those pics are incredible by the way Rupert, specially:

They're blocked on my computer (it's a school computer, Flickr isn't allowed) so I'll look at them when I get home. Can't wait! Sounds like it'll be a great first contribution to the thread!

Cheers, as usual Cano! Here are a couple more I missed.

This shot is of the exhaust port of one of the Macau Turbojets that blast from HK to Macau every twenty minutes or so. The old ones are actually made by Boeing!

I think this would be better suited in the Rumble Strip but it doesn't really matter I guess.

I'll have to keep a sharp eye out for some things, great idea.

Geez, Rupert...you win the thread.

Do trains count because at my tech school, which is by a local rail yard, I see at least 5 trains a day including a CSX and a CN locomotive pulling a mixed freight which was pretty rare mostly its usually CSXs and BNSFs I have a pic of the CN on my Ipod.

I just saw that after I posted I think I must've skipped the trains part. I still can't post my pics from Iphoto. :(

I didn't see this today. Actually, it's been a year since I saw this, but I think it's still one of my better non-automotive spots. Unfortunately, I only had my phone's camera to capture it.

Rage Racer, it seems that everywhere I look you are posting up interesting and awesome stuff. I have a serious man-crush on you right now!

If everything goes to plan and my trip to Russia next year happens, I will be visiting the tank museum at Kubinka for sure.

NICE! I love tanks, I run a Tanks group on Facebook, and am an active WoT player. All of those I recognized and would love to see IRL.

Oh, thanks :)
What I posted here is really just a small part of what this museum has. This place worth visiting, for sure. But there are strict rules for foreign visitors (check the English Wiki page), especially if you're from USA. Kubinka is staffed by the military, and they consider every Western visitor a possible spy. This is weird, but true.
