@ harrytuttle love the Porsche Boxster Spyder not seen in the wild yet, also that Maserati Merak is something else. I also like the 5 series, but the few 520d shots I got I found not worthy.

Light Blue Aston Martin DBS at lunch:

Same morning, posted this one in my first post here, but not a picture as good as this one of the Porsche Boxster S:

Same drive back, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth

It's a 1936 Frazer Nash Special, with a 1.9 litre BMW-sourced straight four, if anybody cares.

Being driven out and about on public roads. Not at a show, nor in a convoy. Just being driven.

oh, ohh, ohhh my God I care, I sure care. Brilliant. awesome Famine.

Also, thanks to GP for the abandoned Midget, I've never seen one in the flesh, but I know that car is very local. tuttle, your black bel-air is a 1955, not 54. And the Merak is cool.

Rue, that orange Mini is off the hook!!! and the Advan wheels on the 86!!! amazing!!!

Man, I miss posting... bah, to hell with work for a little. In fact, I cannot believe I have not posted since page 1046!!!:

1970 chevelle/Malibu wagon, extremely rare in here because Chevelle wags were never sold here. It is in good shape and rocks Buick wheels. It's absolutely ready for a dose of big block.
hbfcd021.jpg

this Nova popped up by my house one day. I had seen it years earlier wearing another wheels and with a half finished interior, so I went to see if it was complete now. Different wheels, same wasted interior. though times, I suppose.
hbfcd023.jpg

These two 67-68 Mustangs are sitting next to each other in a block that is also home to two or three more old Mustangs, but I could not get any pictures of the others. Black one wears non-Ford wing, yellow one... well, it's almost naked.
hhhj001.jpg

hhhj002.jpg

I barely caught this Cobra replica as when it entered the main street the guy floored it pretty hard over to the next red light. The guy in front of it is selling newspapers.
hhhj006.jpg

auch...
hhhj007.jpg

This thing rests outside of a friends house. Has been there for about ten years I was told, the owner washes it once or twice in the year.
hhhj010.jpg

Nothing really rare here except the Minilite-style wheels.
hhhj012.jpg

Left for dead Type 181 VW, or Thing for reference. This thing could easily be brought back to life, altough finding body panels for these is not so easy.
hhhj014.jpg

rare and awesome late-model AMX. Were these things sold with a V8 underhood in the US or by this time, all AMC was cranking out were sixes? I'm asking because all AMC cars over here were I-6s.
hhhj016.jpg

awesome 1979 Mexican Super Bee, think US Road Runner with Super Bee decals and that's it, same 360 inch engine and all.
hhhj017.jpg

very very clean Jetta everywhere/Atlantic in here, having its interior redone in leather.
hhhj020.jpg

Then, a really rare in here Pontiac Le Mans GT37 with a 400 inch big block, and suposedly sporting much of it's original paint. I have seen the car at shows but this is the first time I come across it in the street. Also, check out the nice 65 Mustang fastback being worked on in the background.
hhhj021.jpg

half of a seemingly well-loved 1969 Bug.
hhhj022.jpg

Some clean Jetta with nice wheels and stance, for a change.
hhhj024.jpg

custom sidecar layout that grabbed my eye:
hhhj035.jpg

This 1947 Ford street rod popped up near the magazine. It sported a 350 underhood and an absolutely tasteless interior in wood and tweed. It has since vanished, hopefully towards someone who will redo it's interior in a proper way.
hhhj036.jpg

hhhj037.jpg

very Nice Caribe GT/Golf GTI everywhere else, that sported some mods and polished wheels. Aside from those, it was pretty neat.
hhhj038.jpg

incredibly loud custom chopper, it's owner told me I was snapping pics and immediatley showed it to me, and told me "flash-shoot at the gas tank", I did, and you can see the results in the insert picture. The skull was undetectable under normal light. cool.
hhhj039.jpg

one morning going to work I saw this Porsche 928. I jumped out of the bus and set up the camera in the floor or on other cars and blew some picutres, in fear that the thing might disapear in the time I spent at work.
hhhj053.jpg

hhhj054.jpg

this be my fave:
hhhj057.jpg

Well, turns out it didn't disappear, so it was daytime pictures for it, yet again. I'm sorry by the massive 928 overdose but I love LOVE these cars and they are incredibly rare here:
hhhj055.jpg

hhhj059.jpg

hello there:
hhhj063.jpg

and that be it for now. I priomise I won't leave for as long in the future.

I wondered where you went, I've been missing the huge Mexico City car spots :D. I'm still amazed by the amount of cars floating around down there. Nothing wrong with a lot of the 928, it is an amazing looking car. I like the 4th shot from the top too.

I can't quite explain what happened here, but it is interesting. A Lamborghini shell sitting in an open field. Anybody missing a Lamborghini body? I know where it is sitting.

You MUST find out what is going on with this? It would be the ultimate Gran Turismo cockpit project! Or sat in the middle of your front room or attached the the wall!

When I'm back in that area on Thursday,I'll ask around about it.

It just seems really odd to see something like this just tossed out into a field. :odd:

Tempted to say it's a fiberglass replica, but I don't know what the original's bodywork was made from. It's primered, that's for sure...Is there a VIN anywhere on it? If there is, and it's a Lambo VIN, I'd report it to the Police. Could be stolen.

I meant where is the car located. It seems to be around my hometown, but I didn't know that about the VINs though.

Awesome post Nismo!!! the Rebel Machine is offf the hook!!! awesome car, and very rare, and way WAY odd to see one driving!!! I would have expected whatever else to see but that car. Ace. And the Plymouth is in fact a 1948 Chevy Fleetline.

nice McdonaldsCoronet too, Stig.

And now for the Countach shell: I am almost absolutely sure it is a fiberglass replica, but Nick, give us more pics and info, even if it is a replica, it is an outstanding photo oportunity, haha

I too do not know what material the original Lambo's were made from.So if it's fiberglass, does that mean it is a replica ? I did not get out of my truck when I took these pics with my cell phone.I also did not want to raise any suspicions and have anyone coming down on me wanting to know what I was doing around this car shell. They may have thought that I may have been eyeing it up for theft purposes. but :nervous:

Where is it.?

For now,I'll just say it is in the upper N.E. Ohio region. Can't be to sure on things now-a-days.I would not want to be the one responsible for giving out the exact location and then it comes up missing. :nervous:

Look on the left A-Pillar. Lamborghini did not out the VINs on the dash, so owners found other places.

Is there a factory spot that Lamborghini put VIN's besides the left A pillar ? Or could it be elsewhere on the body as you stated ?

Will do on Thursday when I'm back up in that area.I think this time I will get out of my truck and try to get some up close shots of it.If it is still there (Hoping it is). I really would like to find out more on this. This time I'll find a person or persons and ask some questions about it.Whether it is an original or a replica and as to why it got set out into this field.

You guys put alot of time and effort into taking these pictures and uploading them Bravo to you all.

Oh and Id rock the pink Supra.

My bad, mate. I thought you posted it & then saw Jim's post.

The original Countach structures were round, steel tubular spaceframes & the body was all aluminum panels.

I do not know honestly where Lamborghini originally put the VINs. However, I'm willing to bet this is a replica project that was abandoned.

It's definitely a replica. The A-pillars are much thicker than they are on the real thing and the angle of the nose is too bluff. The arch extensions also appear to be moulded as part of the body where they're tacked on to the originals.

Allow me to elaborate:

The first good one, after the bad one, but before the really good one. In blue.

Sorry for the confusion.

As I said, the one you called "the really good one" is the 2004 Lightning concept, which wasn't actually sold (though you could still say that performance wise it would have been the best).

LN7, Never heard or have seen this car before.

Was sold back in the 80's and was based off the Ford Escort/Mercury Lynx (Ford's version was the Escort EXP).

Rue, check out my profile picture

Hah! Is that from when they were filming the HK Initial D movie or is that just a random person? There are a couple of Initial D inspired AE86's that get around.

We looked it up as soon as I got home. It isn't to bad for being a Merc, although I must admit, the Escort EXP looks pretty good too.

Were you the only one taking a picture of the Supra ?. I'm still amazed by the sheer number of cool cars in LA. It's amazing ting to me how no matter where you go, something shows up eventually.

(Well, that was in San Francisco :D) but yeah it's crazy, so many good cars slip under the radar because tourists are too busy taking pictures of a movie theater. You can even find good stuff in the less affluent parts of town.

I know it's crazy. We were in a pretty testy part below Hollywood Blvd and out of nowhere comes this Lotus Elise. We sat on Hollywood Blvd one night for about 20 minutes and saw 2 430s, one SLS, a Murci, California, 612, and an R8. Here in Michigan we have oretty good car spots, that I cannot deny, but one day in LA is just amazing.

Thanks, dude. I'm on the lookout for that Merak again, hoping to see it in full daylight.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was going for. I heard it was going to be sold, then not, then yes, then...well, then no news after that. Oh, well. Still plenty of '99's to go around.

You can see that yellow RR Drophead on Google Streetview on Rodeo ;) I'm back in the UK now - bit of anemergency. With any luck I might be posting up some UK spots but I will be rather busy.

Boy, it's been forever since I last posted my spottings! I've racked up alot, so brace yourself. It's going to be an epic journey for us all!!!!
