Just to clarify - the rules of this thread (in the first post) state that claims of car sightings are not to be posted here. This thread is for pictures of cars seen out and about on the road. If anybody has pics of cars from showrooms, there is also another thread for that.

woo hoo! a new to me Ferrari, 328 GTS. And an owner who was nice enough to let a stalker take a photo in his drive! (though I did give him a business card of mine to make it even...)

Epic Alfa track car! I find it awesome how it obviously is modified for circuit use and yet retains the classic spirit with an almost absolutely stock appearance. I'm sure he sitches to semislicks or slicks when racing.

yeah, I noticed that, too. It was in front of a body shop, and I've decided to go back and inquire if it is for sale or more of a dealer's demo car or what. Not that I could buy it, but there may be a few people in the local scene who would be interested to know if it's available. And I see you're in Ohio, too!

I do find it fascinating the kind of cars people from different parts of the world see as "good" compared to me and where I live. For instance I see many cars posted on here, with people congratulating them on a great find and I wouldn't have had a second glance at them!

Makes me wonder what "mundane" cars you're all ignoring which I'd find fascinating!

I know what you mean, I find this particularly with German cars for some reason, barring all-out supercars I can't help but feel a little meh about most BMWs, Audis, Mercs and Porsches since the 90s. They all look very very similar to me, and I don't think it's helped by the tendency for German manufacturers to not "name" their cars. Go back to the 80s and further though and you have my full attention!

But that's what makes this thread interesting. For example, I would definitely take notice if I saw a first-generation Renault Twingo in the UK as they were never sold here, but in France there are probably 100,000s of them

Yeah I'd have to agree with you there! But I don't think I'd ever take notice of a Twingo!

I do enjoy seeing the wide variety of cars and I do find myself learning about cars I don't know about or even heard of!

Cobra 2 Mustang, I saw it drive by my farm 2-3 times last year, never had a camera on me. This time it was actually in my hands, but so were several other things and it had been a long day already so I was slow to act. Barely got this rubbish shot... very well maintained car, hopefully some day I'll get a clean one of it.

Wrong. The grille is unmistakably Packard. It's a late 30s car, 1937-1939 because of the bulbous shape of the roof. Earlier than 1936 cars where more squarish.

Last Wednesday (June 13th, 2012), I was coming home from class on the local main roadway (Route 30). Business as usual, nothing too interesting until I was approaching an intersection outside of York, PA where an old Sunoco is located. Out of the gravel driveway next to the Sunoco came a silver Noble M400, a very shocking find (even more so in such a rural area of Pennsylvania).

I could have just been satisfied with seeing it pulling out of the driveway, but I had to see more. I watched the traffic behind me very closely, waiting for the M400 to turn somewhere. It eventually turned into the parking lot of an airport restaurant and when it did, I turned around in the closest driveway and went back for it. I parked beside the car and caught the owner as he stepped out. We talked a bit and he was really surprised that I knew what kind of car it was. He said that there's only two M400s in Pennsylvania (I'm surprised there's even one). I got to look around, under, and even sit inside of the car. What an amazing sight. I learned that the driveway the owner pulled out of leads to the business that he owns, so I have a means of going to see the car again (which I did).
