You will never do this again. Instead photograph EVERYTHING!!

Oops, I made the dog bark! Okay, I'll try...

and,
That cab is a 1977-1982 Checker Marathon, iconic for ferrying around New Yorkers in style for several decades.

Only around 1000-2000 was produced each year between '61-'82, they are notoriously plagued by rust, and parts are hard to come by. So they're fairly rare today. And that one sure is a beauty, awesome catch.

Cool! Not Buick, Checker!

And looks like we have another rash of no-photo posts to contend with...

I did see a 348 today, my first, but when you're running 15 minutes late to market, the only thing you can concentrate on is pushing your speed to exactly 8mph over the limit... no time to fiddle with digital cameras (only had about a 3 second window to make the shot anyways.)

Ha ha! I really did see it, and wouldn't normally say anything, but couldn't resist the irony.

Did see a Z31 today, again, my first as far as I can recall. Noticed it on the way to market, but again, no time to stop, prayed like hell it was still there on the way home, and it was! Oh joy!

Has a large duck tail but not too big.

I don't have any pictures (sorry), but I've seen an SLS AMG, blacked out R8 (pretty sure its a V10), a Ferrari 430 Spyder, and a couple 500's and Imprezzas (both hatch and the older, sexier ones). Also spotted a perfectly restored Mustang Mach 1. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), my phone was in my pocket and I was driving the times I spotted these...and they were all going the opposite direction too :ouch:.

Also have some pictures from a car show last year - they even had an F1 car! I'll try to find them and post some up.

I seen a street race between 3 Veyrons, a Koeniggsegg Agera R, an Enzo, and a Boeing 747, only to see them all crash at the end. Sorry no pics.

I see them occasionally here. My mate just rehauled one, ready to be his first proper car :p.

Is that just some dirt on the 300ZX?

I'm much more of a fan of the smoother, later Z31s; but I do have a special spot in my heart for the original model Z31. My dad gave me a model of one when I was 5 years old.

Yeah, looked like a dusty car that got a brief spot of rain on it. Not much rain here recently, guessing it was outside for a while parked and then got hit by a random little shower. Looked great, no rust, remarkable for an Ohio car almost 30 years old.

And yes, I've got a soft spot for Z cars in general, love seeing the old 240/260/280Z's, and the Z32's. This one makes my photo collection complete (as I spotted and shot a couple of NISMO 370Z's in the past year, one white which I used to see regularly, one black which I've only seen once, but in the same place where I would see the white one.)

Some shots from Yesterday and Today.

Toyota Camry [XV40]

Honda Civic Hatch

Mercedes Benz S-Class

Toyota Celica

Porsche Cayenne

with weird bodykits. :odd:

Jeep Cherokee

Mercedes Benz CLK 320

Not sure, Jaguar?
clipboard02dg.jpg

Absolutely not a Jag, not sure what it is though, zooming on the badge it looks like it begins with a J, something like "Jazz"? To me it looks like a kit, or a pseudo-classic (there's a proper name for the type of car I forget) at best.

It's a Citroen 2CV based kit car. The Burton Classic.

Jeff, the Lupo is a Polo.

and is that a Lupo behind that thing? we never got those on this side of the pond, as far as I know...

and thanks again Rue for a lovely shot! I feel the swoosh and tug of the corner, the angle, it all perfectly conveys a sense of motion and sport!

here's a few from today, a couple just for Cano

this one's for me, though 280zx

Grrrrr!!! Too bad the Jaguar name was already taken, I think it perfectly fits this car.

meh

first one for Cano, what is it, please?

body shop down the road from my farm, had the Torino out I posted recently, finally went over and introduced myself. and the owner was not only cool enough to show me around and give me open door privileges, but he's also going to buy my veggies!

now let's play a guessing game, I got 3 right, needed help on the fourth which I knew as soon as he said it (and no peeking at the label on my flickr!)

1970-72 AMC Javelin

I can more or less make out a 1951-52 Dodge or Plymouth.

Awesome, you got a deal and you get to see cool cars!

1) 1939 Lincoln Zephyr

2) Austin Healey, possibly a 3000 but it's too incomplete for me to be sure

3) I'm not sure on the fordoor. Might be a Ford, but I really find some of the character lines on the body alien to Fords of those years.

4) 1958 Vette.

Sweet! AMC Javelin! My first AFAIK, thought it looked cool, and pretty happy with my very long distance shot with the digi.

And according to the owner:

1) 1937 Zephyr I thought he said
2) 1961 Healey again if I recall correctly
3) Model A
4) 1959 Vette again if I recall correctly

and all also if he was right, I've had enough people tell me wrong to only give 90% confidence to even what an owner says, only 75% to a guy working on the car

The Healey was especially cool to see all opened up. I've seen two before, and never realized how much engine they had! Straight six, and boy is it tight in that engine compartment.
