That appears to be the Super Sport World Record Edition of which only 5 were made, also some amazing other cars you saw, too bad you missed the Mig-U1, there was also an Agera R spotted by Shmee150 on his secondary Youtube account "MrShmee150". Looks like you had a great time and I wish I was so lucky to be able to see such nice cars out on the road. Best I've ever seen has always been a shows.:(

Was at Shannonville Raceway this weekend and saw some nice cars doing hot laps.

Just your average WRX wagon, with a rollcage and semi-race tires.

And the nicest car there. A 2 week old Ferrari 458 Spider.

Nice finds you two! But the 458 isn't the best car there, either the GT3 RS 4.0 or the Esprit take that prize IMO.

Either way, track day or event photos go in a different thread, this one is just for "in the wild" spots...

also, just found out that 330 gt 2+2 I spotted yesterday is a GTC, not a 2+2. Even better!

Can anyone tell me what this is? It was a Toyota and it said Alphrad or something like that along the side. It was right hand drive with Washington plates.

It's a 1st gen Toyota Alphard alright. In America?
It's only sold, as far I can remeber, in Japan and Hong Kong.

EDIT: Tree'd! :ouch:

from wikipedia, Facel Vega HK500, one of 489 made, with either a 5.8L or 6.3L Chrysler V8. Nice, definitely not common, even if you live within 10 miles of their old factory in France.

No, not at all. Even so, the Facel Vega is indeed a rare and uncommon car, very local, obscure, and extraordinary in it's time. They were often compared with Rolls Royce for build quality, and the big-block Chrysler engine gave them plenty of grunt. Imagine you just saw a french mid-60s Ferrari 250 but with more balls and more exclusive, and you'd mostly get the picture.

just running errands way out in the country (we have buggy lanes, seriously)

Ford Maverick, guess they made a bunch of these but I don't know when I last saw one

and then about half an hour later, same intersection, series 2 E-Type!!!

That long? HK's supercar fraternity has dropped the ball ;) WHat's the story on the SL? It appears to have the wide-arch body of the SL65 Black Series...

Facel Vega? Maybe these are common. I've never seen one before.

Sooo nice. Met a guy a couple of months ago who has two coming over from the UK.

That Maverick needs a bit of TLC. Wonder if it had a 5.0. Most of them had 6 bangers.

Alphard Picture

For some very odd reason, out of most of the epic spottings in this thread. I really want that Toyota Alphard! Love those JDM vans. Next up, someone post a picture of a Nissan Elgrand in the US (not the ugly current Nissan Quest gen). Then I'll go even more insane!

You'd love it over here then, Elgands and Alphards especially are everywhere!
