The US was going to get a Pontiac G8 ST, based on the Commodore Utility. It was announced as a 2010 model, but then GM killed Pontiac and we never got it. I believe Australians got both sedan and utility versions of the Commodore with the G8 bodywork just to use up the body panels already produced.

Someone in Detroit has a green Chevy SS like that G8 but I haven’t seen it in person yet.

Yes, that was an option you could tick when you ordered your car.
There’s also wagons running around with that front end.

A nice GT40 replica drove by me on Centenary Rs/Argyle St, jjust then. Dark red with silver stripes. Looked like it's been driven to Le Mans and back! Plates read "GT40 V8". I just wasn't quick enough with my phone.

Hopefully, he's parked somewhere close.

Well, my first time seeing a Lotus Elan. Lets see what else, another Triumph Spitfire, a Jaguar E-Type (maroon car), and some other classic I can't identify.


I went to a Ferrari dealership and this Porsche 997.2 Carrera GTS was in the customer parking.

I never heard of the Dinaplin. Turns out to be Mexican, built under license. 700-1000 built between 1965-1974. There's a cabriolet and a GT4 2+2 as well. Very nice.
