Had Chrysler the stones (or a proper engine) to release a V8 powered Prowler, that would be it.
That being said, I highly prefered the Prowler over the AIV Roadster anyways. If only you could get a manual tranny in the Prowler...

I agree. The Prowler was a pretty cool-looking car for the late '90s, but Chrysler's inexpirience with producing a sports car (outside of the Viper) certainly showed through... One of the douchebags I used to go to high school with had one, and he loved to attempt to race in the thing. Lets put it this way... There were far-older Camaros and Mustangs that were bought for a 1/3 of the price that would wipe the floor with it...

Funny enough, he sold it and bought and Avalanche. People hated him enough in high school that they would slash his tires once a week, then he had to get special permission to park at the front of the school. If he wasn't such a massive tool, chances are that fewer people would have hated him so much...

What the hell was the car to the left of the Saab?

What, the Ford Taurus station wagon? The white Kia Rio (one of my boss' cars)?

...BTW: Thats my co-worker's Talon there. I can't believe how bad-ass the car is with the three gold wheels and the one alloy... Hes a good guy, and he loves making fun of his car when hes at work...

Are you aware how rare that vehicle is? There were 176 made. 176. I've never seen one and would be delighted if one showed up at a show.

I knew they were rare, but I didn't know that they were that rare...

Come to think of it, there is a red one that can be seen in Grand Rapids every once in a great while. It usually makes it to the big cruise-in we've had the past few years...

...The guy in the golf cart had no idea what it was, and he was rather surprised when I told him it was pretty much a Mustang underneath...

Generally speaking, seeing any kind of Panoz is a treat. I can maybe think of an Esperante or two that I've seen, but they are quite rare as well...

If there is one perk to living in Michigan when it comes to cars, we'll buy anything as long as it is American. The only place where you would have a better chance of seeing a Panoz would probably be down in Atlanta, or maybe LA, but even then, that may be a stretch...

For the record, I've been in Atlanta for seven months now and have seen just one Panoz (which is the same number as I've seen in Denver), this Esperante, despite the company's being located here. An AIV Roadster showed up at a recent exotic gathering with local plates so they're around (obviously) but I have yet to record a street sighting of that here or anywhere. It's a spectacular sighting. 👍

This actually just a normal Mustang GT with Saleen kit and stickers? Or is it a actual Saleen with Mustang GT still all over it? Either way first Mustang I have seen in Australia with Saleen writen on it.

My favorite sighting, Noble M12 GTO 3R.

Hard to tell externally - looks fake though because all the normal Ford badges remain. I believe Saleen adds 'SALEEN' to the bumper.

There isn't "something" Focus ST-ish about the front bumper, that is the Focus ST bumper. ;) And while that car is very cool to find, and very cool on paper, it is a bloated beast of a car, regardless of what's under the hood. :yuck:

That's not just a Mustang underneath, it's a good Mustang underneath. Very cool spot. 👍

Not a real Saleen: Ford oval badge on the trunk, "GT 4.6L" badge on the side, "Mustang GT" on the rear bumper, and Cobra R wheels. None of that would be seen on a real Saleen. Probably modified, probably faster than a stock 4.6L, but not a Saleen. Nice stickers, though. :D

The GT3 and the Noble on the other hand....

And on to my own photos:

Aston Martin DB9 Volante (one gray, one maroon)

The gray one is nice, but the maroon one had dealer plates from Greenwich. The picture was taken at least half an hour away from that dealership. Nice test drive!

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Sportback

Neat little wagon. Too bad Mitsubishi forgot that it pales in comparison to the Evo wagon it left back in Japan. No wonder no one bought the front-drive Ralliart.

BMW M5 E60

Not so much special in itself, but I was at the local BMW service center, getting ready for some local charity event. They held it in the large garage (where there was supposed to be the new M3 on display, but...). I thought seeing the underside of the V10 would be a rare event.

BMW Z8 Alpina

Elsewhere in the garage was this unfortunate Z8 Alpina, which was in a some state of repair/disrepair. Even in that condition, it was still incredibly beautiful.

Noble M12 GTO-3R

I have to check my old photos, but I think this is a different one than what I spotted last month, which was a darker gray than this. It could be the lighting, though. Incredible car. Silver, tucked all the way in the far corner of a large parking lot, behind three rows of cars, and I still saw it. Fantastic presence, inside & out. Never noticed the mesh over the front hood vent. Uber-cool.

Best shot of the week: cops on parade!

I have seen a Panoz AIV Roadster, but that was years back when I was a senior in high school. I want to say it was yellow; but I do not remember, as all I remember is that is was an AIV Roadster.

Sometime this week, I saw a black Cadillac STS-V, a black Toyota MKIV Supra (two occassions), and a black 996 Carrera 4 (maybe 4S, does not have the badges on it).

Today I saw.....

5 Vipers. (4 of them all right behind each other on the LIE0

1 Corvette ZO6 C6

Jellybean Supra

30 year old BMW

I wish I could work at Eagle Chevrolet....

I couldn't snap a picture of it but I saw one of those new Buick Enclave things today, looks really nice.

Really? I have yet to see one on the street, although there are quite a few Outlooks and Acadias out here now...

Ya, it had barcodes on the rear window so I'm thinking it's either a GM fleet vehicle or one of the car magazines.

Barcode on the rear window typically means rental - all my first sightings of these things are rentals.

Ya might be, but most of the time when I see a new GM vehicle it's a fleet vehicle.

I saw this yesterday:

Camry Wagon. I couldn't see if it had the double wipers or not though.

This is the ugliest rear end I have ever seen.

Gross.

Yeah, Outback sedans are pretty damn goofy. I saw one in NYC and I was like "WTF would anyone buy an Outback sedan???"

That particular one is pretty bad looking, but I don't think they look so bad.

There's plenty of things worse than that. Like this for example:

And this, which is actually the best one I've ever seen of this car:

saw a modern Morgan Plus something today (modern meaning one of the newer models of the old design) and a yellow NSX which I have seen several times in the area (Bethesda) talking on the phone while driving in that area is bad enough so I wasn't about to try and get pix

I saw a Isuzu Vehicross today (of 4,153 ever produced) which is the second or third I've ever seen. Also, a Fahrenheit GTI, the first one I've seen, of less than 1000 right now. A good day for me.

Those Fahrenheit GTI's are all around here, but then again I'm right down the road from the VW headquarters so I'm not surprised I see so many. They all have M plates on them.

7 series BMW, I think I've maybe seen one other one on the road.
