Im looking forward to seeing all his busted old cars

Patience, have been VERY busy with work, I'll do a double size post with many rustbuckets just for you. Work should be done today, tomorrow morning max.

And yeah, we want more Minis and all the 69 Chargers you can find, Rue.

it's really depressing to know that he sees more mini's in a day than I have seen in my life...

and he isn't even in the UK!!! though I can certainly understand why there are so many there

I think you mean...

;)

Thanks for the comments on my name! Usually people laugh and imagine me to be some kind of toff!

Yes, there are loads of Minis here! Since the BMW Mini came out there's been a huge demand for the old ones.

My Puerto banus video is uploading :trouble: You can all look forward to seeing a fake ferrari

I'll post the video, and if anyone wants particular pictures enlarged in the thread I'll post them, The vid is first because photobucket and imageshack decided to take a nap whenever I tried to upload.
EDIT:

Mute it if you dont like the song :sly:

Some nice motors there Alex. I'm sure the 250 GTO is a replica rather than a recreation, which tend to be based on lesser Ferrari 250's. Still, at least you can boast that you've seen a car that used to be a Datsun 240Z. ;)

Thanks guys, The thing that got me on the 250 was that it sounded amazing, very loud. But a replica is a replica.
That white porsche 911 cabriolet is the nicest 911 I've ever seen, probably my favorite car of the week.
:)

The old Rupert cartoon was awesome

I'd love to get my hands on an older Mini. It would make a nice weekend car.

Weekend? If I could afford one I’d sooooooooooo daily drive it!!!!!!!!
The night picture is great, Rue. Now you only owe us aaaall the 69 Chargers that clutter and pollute the streets of Hong Kong. Heh.

Ok, since people is starting to miss abandoned rusted heaps of junk I’ll post some stuff, many double-pics of fronts and rears!

And we start hard and direct with ANOTHER one of the Mitsubishi Trolebuses brought here in a cultural exchange with Tokyo’s government, Mexico city sent five and Tokyo sent five here (or Osaka, I don’t remember), I’ve found four, this one seems pretty much abandoned (the last one I posted was used as an activity center for neighborhood kids) and it has sat in there since I shot this picture about three years ago. Sad.

1972 Charger that took a heavy hit in the front fender; believe me, to spoil something as hard as a 72 Charger fender, it must have been quite hard. Period Slot mags too.
roma017.jpg

Really big 1971 (I think) Cadillac 4-door, yeah, the one with the 500 cube engine, the largest displacement V8 put on a production car ever. 500lbft of torque from factory. Swap into a Mustang II and OMFGWTF
roma020.jpg

Very derelict but restoreable 1962 (I think) Ford Taunus, a mini import from Germany, these things are rare in here but were good cars, my dad told me.
roma022.jpg

A really rare Fiat Jeep which looks so delicate when you compare it to a rugged American Jeep, but cool stuff nevertheless.
roma024.jpg

Work-in-progress 1968 Barracuda, seems like a good foundation for a bad-ass car, I so love the funky rear window of these things, 318 ci/4-speed…
roma025.jpg

This car is nothing special, with the exception that it is ALL original. Paint, upholstery, wheel covers, trim, engine, trans, EVERYTHING. When was the last time you saw an original paint 69 Chevelle 2-door THIS good? Even if it’s a six cilinder-column shift car, its awesome; what would you do with it? Keep it as-is, as a survivor? Or drop in a big block and 4 speed and keep the stock look for a great sleeper? This car looked like it had been in that same spot for quite some time, what a waste of a cool car.
roma028.jpg

Then an off-beat International pick-up; the paper on the window sez “anything concerning this vehicle please cal XXX”, I guess the owner has had the “abandoned car” warning from the government; I’ve seen this quite often lately.
roma030.jpg

Horrid replica of a 356 Porsche sitting in a VW Bug Chassis, it even has the wheels to prove it:
roma032.jpg

Oh man this thing was smashing. It’s a 1979 Malibu Rally Chevy Nova, a Mexico-only edition with a 350 upfront, a 4-speed, Dana rear end and exclusive trim, but this one has been severely altered including the fiberglass cowl hood (if you peeked under it you could see a Holley double pumper in a pretty hi-rise intake) and the Cal-Tracs in the rear for those Humongous Toyo drag radials on aluminum wheels; the car had a very mean vibe and I loved it, its not common to see drag cars cruising the streets here, but I really doubt it’s that fast.
roma035.jpg

roma037.jpg

Next up, a 1969 Javelin that has been sitting outside that shop for the best part of six years, It’s pretty complete and solid, very restoreable, but it just sits and sits and of course, its not for sale.
roma038.jpg

Excelently preserved Jeep Wagoneer AWD, I don’t know if it has been restored or refurbished but it’s the most minty example I have seen in my life, and black none the less. Awesome.
roma040.jpg

Why is this landyatch here? Because it’s not a Monaco, but a Chrysler Newport wich was never offered here and is thus a rare sight; probably big block equipped too. Been there a looong time it seemed.
roma043.jpg

Ran across this couple of rare and well preserved Renault 4s, a State and a Cargo, the Cargo being the least common of the two, both absolutely wonderful and nostalgic, I’d love a Wagon for a daily driver, both were in great shape (except for the fender of the Cargo) and had classic plates. Cool little boxes on wheels.
roma044.jpg

1960-61 Ford or Dodge 3-ton Truck, I really think this old behemoth makes for an awesome scene, I mean, come on, resting after a hard life, now graffitted everywhere, no bed, in the back of an alley, opened door, pure Mexican urbanism.
PELOS001.jpg

And nooooooooow, one of the most awesome sightings I have com across: a concours-quality 1953 Cadillac Convertible, stunningly restored, but I’m telling you, STUNNINGLY, every inch was perfect, the car was flawless, I shot these outside the shop where it had been restored and they did a wonderful job; I’ve seen it later on @ car shows and the concours d’elegance, and the car deserves to be there, heck, pretty damn rare car too, it’s the first 53 convertible I’ve ever seen.

Enough, and plenty of rustbuckets to feed the thread for a while. Enjoy Glanza, mwehehe

 That Clubman driver can't park. Also that is an awful colour combination.
