Nothing special, just snaps of standard New Territories village fare...

Really wanted to see the goodies in this one:

Someone who lives down my street recently bought a mint VW Beetle from somewhere I pass on the way to school, it has a USA fag on the side.

I also saw what looked like a DB9 in the school parking lot, stared at it for 15 minutes then left.

And I saw a Porsche 356, not sure how rare they are.

I really think we need a refresh of the rules here:

The previous DYSAGT thread just asked for people to say what they'd seen. It led to some pretty outlandish claims, and, well, rather devalued the whole thing.

So, now, we have a new thread, and new rules:
  • Please, only list cars that are interesting in some way. We don't want to see anything run-of-the-mill listed. In the previous thread, people announced having seen a BMW 328i, or a Nissan 240SX. These sorts of cars are not interesting, unless there is something specific about the car itself that makes it unusual, like seeing a new model on/before launch day, or a particularly good custom job. Cars worth less than $20,000 US when new will struggle to qualify as "interesting".
  • Don't just state the name of the car. Give us a picture at least - even if it's a crap one from a camera phone. If you can't show us the car, how can we believe that you saw it? And don't just replicate an image from Supercars.net or the vendor's web site: we want to see THE car that you saw.
  • Give us some context. Don't just post up a pic of a car and say that you saw it. It's much more interesting if you give us some context. Where/when/what you were doing when the sighting took place, for example.
  • Dealerships and Manufacturer/Tuner sponsored car shows do not count. This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count. However, everyday "traffic" sightings are more interesting.

In other news caught this walking around Birmingham over the weekend. Aston DBS.....oh and apparently a Fiat 500 too.

thing is, fiat 500s are everywhere here so I dont see them as interesting. A nissan 240SX however woukd be very noteworthy round here! Its all relative!

Did you really miss the $250,000 Aston Martin?

And the Fiat 500 just went on sale in the US in like December, so it's only been on the road for four months at the most. However, that obviously wasn't the main focus of the picture, more of an after thought.

Yes, it's all relative, but you posted a Vauxhall Astra in the UK. That would be like me posting a Chevy Impala here in the states (barring it wasn't some new model). The Vauxhall Astra is one of the best selling cars in the UK. Same goes for the Jag you posted. Now if it would have been some ultra rare Jag, some new model, or even an unusual colour then that would have been a different story.

Yea I know, i wanted to post the Calibra (theres 2 round here now) but it wasn't showing. And I was hoping someone could confirm that the astra coupe is indeed the calibra's replacement.

Guy claimed it was the first one in the states... I just took a couple quick pictures of it. Looked even more badass in person. 👍

I couldn't believe I saw one, especially in that part of town.

Awesome spot on the LFA! Personally, I would have gone with the darkest colored wheels instead of the lightest color set, but to each their own.

Thanks, it may be weird but I was all smiles after spotting it, made my day.

Also my first spot for this thread, it can only go down from here!

The LF-A looks amazing, but I agree with the comment made about it looking even better with darker wheels.

Driving to work on Sunday morning saw a Mclaren F1 on the freeway. My heart skipped a beat.

I know the car lives about 10 minutes from my house in a suburb called Kew. I've seen it twice before at the F1 (Which I'm guessing I'll probably see there again)

Couldn't get a photo as it was opposite direction but it was this one:

Please tell me he at least started it for you, revved it up a bit maybe? :dopey:

Nice Alfa SZ Vince 👍

Nice Lexus LFA Casey 👍

Dull Astra 66'Roadster 👎

Don't bother with the Calibra, they're dull too.

Oh so sorry but theres a distinct lack of ferraris and lambos here! Jesus!
If you don't see anything good, then you don't post. You can't just post any old crap because they're the best cars you see.

IMO, the thread title is pretty ambiguous. "Good" is relative.
Good, doesn't just mean good, it also means unusual or rare. It also matters where you're from. Posting a Camaro in America is not "good." Posting a Camaro from the UK is.

So lets continue using the guidlines Giles put in the first post, and that Joey quoted to remind everyone.

Also, Roo, terrific spot with the Enzo! I'm still hunting down ones that are in Houston.

This is in Houston!?

I need to leave. Bye guys.

Between casey and I, you've got a lot of catching up to do :D

So if I post a pic of a mustang here in the uk its ok even tho a) theyre very common in the US and b) I hate em! ;)

See my previous post. About a year ago I posted a Chevrolet Cavalier. I'd never seen one before in my life. Occasionally people from the States post Peugeots or Renaults, and I see those every day. An Astra isn't rare anywhere.

But are there any real Chevys anymore? Here we get so called chevys but theyre really rebadged Kias and Daewoos. When I was a kid a chevy was a pick up truck, always in movies.

Well lets see, the Juke is fairly new and it's a good size comparison for those who haven't see one, I don't see 2011 STi sedans very much, the Saab 9-4x isn't even out yet, the TT isn't really that great, I just had a photo of it, and how often do you see an XR4Ti on Ronal Turbos driving around that s actaully that clean?
