Beautiful weather, late in the season, on the weekend = let's go car spotting!

Started off nice, too. There's going to be a lot of unidentified cars in the post, so anybody that wants to help ID them, it would be much appreciated.

Oh, and to all those who use European dating, happy 9/10/11!

right about here stumbled upon a Corvette time trial improvised on an old amusement park's parking lot. a couple of Z06's, my first Viper! sweet modded C3's. As a small twisty track, Miata's held the first two spots by a couple seconds, and a couple of hondas did very well, too! Spent about 45 minutes enjoying the show.

okay, enough for today, time to go watch football with the Amish kids (silly Pittsburgh fans...) until I ran into a convoy of like 30 exotics, Ferraris old and new mostly, plus some old and new Lambos. Turned around real quick and followed them for about 45 minutes through nice valley drives until finally losing them in traffic in town.... was hoping to get to where they were stopping. Sadly, only have a few pics...

Your unknown Merc is a 190SL, Jeff. Cool spots. Love the 911 Turbo and that Alfa Monza is nuts. Amazing stuff!

My internet has been off, have to travel to check it so haven't been able to comment regularly here, so just let me say, this thread has been on FIRE!!! Great spots all around!

And on the 911 Turbo, yeah, it was probably the best example of one I've yet seen. After snapping it, some old guy jovially commented that I didn't what that old thing... as he got into his new gen Mustang (not GT, not Shelby, but basic stock.) Silly old man!

A couple of nice spots:

Rolls Royce Phantom:

New Bentley Continental GT:

Nissan GTR Spec-V:

Aston Martin DBS:

Lamborghini LP series, although some kind of special edition? It's probably a tuned LP560?

Didn't actually see these today, but I did yesterday. Apparently bad weather calls for some really sexy cars.

2011 Boss Mustang

Porsche Cayman

Sorry for those bad photo's, it was raining pretty hard at the time so I had to quickly take them.

Porsche Carrera RS (Didn't know these existed)

Hope you enjoyed these one's!

Came rolling right in front of my parked car

@Jeffgoddin: in case you're still looking for that Ferrari model, it's a 360 Spider.

Tyger
Just awesome. I was lucky enough to see a Daytona Spider when I was a kid, not seen a Daytona since, at a museum or show, nada.

Random fact - The black Daytona Spider in Miami Vice wasn't the real deal - it was a replica.

A lot of Daytona Spyders out there are converted coupes or straight replicas. Still trying to catch the one in my town - haven't gotten the up-close to see if it's the real deal or not.

Odd, I thought Porsche made a Carrera RS a few years back as a limited edition, perhaps to celebrate some sort of anniversary of the "original"? I seem to remember it was pretty overpriced, when some of the standard models were better, and less expensive. Perhaps it was all some crazy dream :dunce:

EDIT: Google just informed me I was most likely thinking of the Sport Classic.

Anyone here know of the festival/car event called cruising the coast?
It's insane. Bumper to bumper (mostly domestics, classic muscle, drag, chopped n dropped, antique, a few exotics) traffic for miles with people camping and tail gating right off the highway (on the beach of MS on the gulf of mexico). People are costantly doing burnouts and revving, sometimes in traffic!
Hand down more classic cars than I've seen any other single place.
Didn't take pics, too much to catch, just take my word for it, cruising the coast is insane!

Has no one noticed the Porchse 911 in the background.

Think it is a type 930.

I mentioned it on the flickr page, it was a 993 :)

A few from the past few days, nothing too out of the ordinary

Rolls-Royce Ghost

Saab 9-5

Ferrari F430

Ferrari 355 F1 Berlinetta

HA! Like anyone in their right mind would turn down ANY model porsche for a stock Mustang.

Btw Jeff, I love that Delorean! sooo sexy! as is that Turbo!

Beautiful weather, late in the season, on the weekend = let's go car spotting!

Ok, here we go:

first unknown: horrid replica of something, lol. Probably a VW chassis.

2nd unknown: 1968 Dart, as Nicksfix said.

The GTO isn't a GTO but a Bonneville, as Nicksfix said.

3d unknown: 1953-54 Ford.

4th unknown: 1930 Ford Model A.

pseudo 31 Alfa Monza is a very veeery bad replica. It's wearing 1936 Ford wheels, so you can imagine...

5th unknown: AMAAAAAAAAAAAAZING, if I'm not toooooooooo mistaken, it can either be a 1932 Chrysler LeBaron Imperial, or a 1933 Cadillac. Either way, amazing car, it looks new!!!

6th unknown: Got damn this one is difficult. I wish the grille wasn't black, but I'm gonna go with a 1925 or 26 Chevrolet Superior.

Last unknown: 1965 Dodge Dart.

pretty epic post, my friend.

Also:

40s/30s Ford truck:

SDGHTYLFCXDFVHGB!!!!! That thing is AAAAAAAAAAAWESOME! Love the rear tires on Center Lines! Right up my freaking alley, and the fact that it lives in TJ makes it even cooler. Awesome spot, Racedude.

It's a 1934 Ford, I think. Without looking at the grille, it's hard to tell.
