Yeah, they need to use some type of tape otherwise those horrible plastic plates would flap around and damage the paint. Masking tape obviously doesn't do any harm otherwise they wouldn't use it. Those are cars from the dealer that they would have no intention of damaging.
 
Saw this Audi R8 4.2 on my way to my friend's shop. My friend told me about how someone bought one in a neighboring city. Finally saw it! :D First one I've seen in Maine.

Also spotted a Ferrari 360 Modena yesterday in a driveway. I know it's the no pics or it didn't happen rule. :ouch: My friend took pictures with his cell phone, so I'm asking him to send me it. The R8 was also taken from another friend's cell phone.

So I was at my dad's friends helping load the new tire balancer into his truck and after that he brought this out, which he's had for a while but i've never heard it run. I got a ride to the bottom of the driveway and back to the top and this thing is 🤬 fast. Scarily fast. Loud as all hell to.

Nice 👍. What's under the hood ... 383, 440, maybe/slight chance, a Hemi ? I know it's a big block though.

Spec V? I thought that was only for Japan. And that's probably just an S5, as there's no RS5 convertible. Yet. The 911 GTS was one of the special edition 911s that sent off the 997 series, it's basically a discounted Carrera S with more power and options tacked on.

The GTS was actually much more expensive; it was designed to be a Carrera S exterior with the inner workings closer to the GT3.

It's a Track Pack edition. The wheels & dry carbon spoiler come standard on the Black Edition & that gets included into the Track Pack, except with blue seats instead of red.

Well that GTS sounded awesome. I am slightly disappointed about the GT-R but not really because I don't get to see that kind of stuff a lot.

Thanks!!! 👍 So do you guys agree that it's ok to post helicopters and airplanes in here (along with boats and other vehicles) or just stick to cars? I think having planes etc. would be an interesting addition to this thread! 💡

Been hoping to catch a few shots of a local Impreza that I rather like. No spoiler, no badges, no scoop, no generic Subie blue paintwork...oh, and no hellafail stance either.

Rims look wrong on the Subaru (imo) other than that, nice looking car still weird without the spoiler :)

It looks weurd without the bonnet scoop too, it's good to see a fresh look, rather than just giant exhausts and awful bodykits that most Subarus around here have.

Edit: My dad said it's a 426.

But I saw this Quattroporte in a parking lot today.

Cant see it in the pictures for sure but it may have a front mount intercooler due to a bigger turbo upgrade, so some people choose to remove the scoop because it no longer has a technical function.

It does have the wide body kit of the WRX. That is quite expensive to just copy to a non turbo model.

Also, ook at the position of the where the stars logo should have been, there is something going on with this car. It call FMIC, but it's hard to see.

I thought there was something weird going on with the car. Obviously no spoiler, but I missed the absence of the scoop :)

I love clean cars, but this is too much. The car has lost its identity, there is no signature anymore.
 
^ Did he downgrade the seats, then, to be a "sleeper?" In the grille, those are the Hella horns that every Suby owner feels inclined to get before anything else.

I agree with Rue on this one. I know that there's a lot of plane fans on this board, and I'm honestly kind of surprised that there aren't any plane specific threads yet (DYSAGT, planes in general, etc.).
 
One of the older kids at school has been driving a late 70s Corvette a lot lately. Looks a bit raggedy with no rear wing and a bumper that barely covers up what's under but it appears to be in original condition and the paint looks to be original as well with no fading or rust.
