Been meaning to say, thanks for the help with ID's! I like to keep my photos organized by file name, with format [maker] [model] [trim] [year] [color] [etc], and I post it this way to Flickr, so it's searchable, and evidently thanks to new Flickr stats I now know that my file naming system is helping google search users to find my photos!

And yeah, probably some optical illusion going on, but the difference in front/rear tire widths on that Camaro is astounding! Looks almost like a drag strip car.

Drove around looking for cars for a few hours today, sunny and cool, 61 deg F, Memorial day weekend (3 day weekend in the US.)

Jeff, the Camaro was absolutely a drag/street car, no optical illusion in the tire width difference. As for your new post, that is no 20's Mercedes but 20's Buick; the white Cadillac is maybe a 1966, the Monte Carlo is a 1970, and the white T-Bird is indeed a 66 like the above poster said.Very cool post, my friend 👍

Couple recents. First, a Lotus Elise, shot on the hoof:

A 1965 Mustang. Claims to be a 302 V-8, which might be accurate. I see this one on a regular basis and the interior is immaculate, likely restored with an eye toward authenticity. Not all are: I saw a 1966 289 V-8 recently that appeared to have a cheap replacement fender and a decidedly non-authentic interior. It was for sale for $12k and I wouldn't have paid half that. The 302, on the other hand, would be worth that ask and more.

Not authenticity but a nice little hot rod: the 302-inch engine wasn't available for the 65-66 model years, the paint is obviously not original, the hood scoop is a Shelby repro item, and if my memory serves me right, not even the Magnum 500 wheels were offered as an option that early on the Mustang life. But the car is cool, indeed.

As if the majority of us will ever get to even know who the guy actually is or be in a position to see this impressive collection to begin with, so I'll say what anyone would be thinking since you had to bring attention to it.
