i know theres no requirment but how do we know people arent cheating, taking seconds off there times.

That's what I have beef with in a place this big.

I'd assume everyone doesn't cheat, but if one feels there is something up, he/she should be ready to back themselves up.

yeh but whats to say some didnt post at time that they took 2 second off the actual time they got
Because the only reason to do it is to take a position from someone else. If you don't know the times, you don't know how time to take off.

Cheating in a competition run on the forums is punishable with a six-month ban. TheStig13 knows to report any suspicious times. Hell, he had to ask me after I mis-entered two of my times (which is what I get for doing it in the dark). If you think cheating is going to be such a serious problem as to make the competition un-playable, the answer is simple: don't take part.

And your grammar needs work.

A fast time should also be on the leaderboard of the respective platform. So long as a single other person that plays Dirt 3 on the same platform can check the leaderboards, it can be verified. I know that all of my times appeared on the leaderboard, so it's impossible for me to cheat the system in that way. If you don't like someone's times, check what platform they are on and get someone to validate them. Simple.

Why would anybody want to cheat anyway? As far as I can tell, this is simply a fun competition to pass the time. There are no prizes or rewards, the only reason why someone would cheat is to inflate their ego. Even then, spotting a person with that attitude is not that hard to be honest.

The problem with that is my times are fast. Very fast. But they're not fast enough to get on the leaderboard.
i dont care about my gammer , i was taught doric/ scottish not english
You should care abou your grammar. The Acceptable Use Policy dictates that you should use proper and appropriate grammar at all times when using the forums. Which includes the use of capital letters and apostrophes. If you don't want to make the effort, I'm sure the moderators will have something to say about it.

Round 2 - Finland

For this round onwards we will be using the "Premier League football" style system. ie, where the highest finisher in the lower division moves up to the higher division and vice versa. More information will be provided when the results are posted tomorrow

Stage 1 - Lankamaa - Morning, sun
Stage 2 - Alhojavi - Morning, sun
Stage 3 - Mutanen - Rain
Stage 4 - Isojarvi - Afternoon, sun
Stage 5 - Hanisjarventi - Night

The class for the Premier League this week is Pro.
The class for the Minor League this week is S2000.

The points systems for each class will be the current WRC points system for Premier League and the old WRC points system for Minor League, meaning that a higher placed finisher in Minor League may score more points than a lower placed finisher in Premier League

Quite interesting... sounds like fun!

well if it on to grammer now then u miss spelt about and you have capital letter's in the middle of a sentence. im not english so i dont use english grammer.

The occassional spelling error or grammatical oversight will be ignored, because we all make mistakes. It's when your grammar is consistently poor that it becomes a problem. You might deny being English, or that you use English grammar, but you are using the English language, and it is expected that you use it appropriately. But it's out of my hands, now.

And why one must feel the need to cheat in a casual competition, where nothing is at stake, is unquestionably stupid.

Don't bother arguing against using proper grammar. Not only will it not win (especially on GTP), you're also making a Silly-Willy out of yourself.

I am excited to see how far from the bottom my times are:banghead::banghead:

I am also curious to see my improvement (if any LOL) over time.

I'm not pulling out.... But I might not have much time to do this rally I can try but it won't be my best effort.

For round 2 the leagues/classes will be the following:

Premier League (Pro Class): reyns family, TheStig13, faqoldschool, interludes, GTR3mh
Minor League (S2000 Class): major_kane, SmittMan, Smart_Roadster, MuchoJimbo

WOW, stage 4 was my only chance, and still was about 6 seconds slow........need A LOT of practice for next week.

Those are some seriously fast times! Going to have to lift up my game this week, haha.

By the way, I'll be taking the Ford Fiesta Ford Abu Dhabi car this week.

Yeah, I'm looking at the Fiesta Abu Dhabi, too. Although that depends on how my early tests go. I do time trials in the various cars to see what kinds of times they can produce. When I've found the right one, I go into single race and start perfecting the lines. It usually takes me about two or three runs before I get to the point where I can post competitive times. But with reyns family going four seconds faster than me, I'm going to have to redouble my efforts. Especially if I want to stay in the Premier League.

So does this mean i have to be pro?
Pretty much.

1. My predictions of being a lot off the world records meant that I was in the lower class
2. If anyone wants to know the team I drove for was Fidanza Racing.

Can you please keep all of the important information in the OP? It is so frustrating having to find everything in posts.

Car class: Pro
Car: Citroen Total WRT
Team/Livery: Citroen Total WRT

I'll either be using the Abu Dhabi Fiesta or the Abu Dhabi Focus. I haven't had a chance to do some serious runs yet. Hopefully I will this evening.

Done.

Also, as you are new to this series you will have to take part in the Minor League for this week.

Pretty much.

Go to time trials and use the world record time as a ghost. i learnd some really cool line choices that he used that improved my time alot.

That's good advice reyns, I also have been practicing the Offline Rally competition by setting the AI difficulty to 5 and getting 1st, 2nd and 3rd place times, so watch out fellas, I might place 7th or 8th this time around.......
