DiRT 3 Offline Rally Series: Finland Results and Rally Kenya Details Post #133

Finally managed to get some decent times down for Finland. I followed reyns family's suggestion of doing time trials with the WR ghost and took at least two seconds out of my best times following their lines, but since I'm on PC, there's a few fake WR times - the ghost for Lankamaa does it in just over fifty-six seconds, which is impossible without running a hack. It's a major problem on the PC.
 
I'll be away from tomorrow until Sunday, so I've decided to change the deadline for this round to 4PM AEST on Sunday.

The problem with that is my times are fast. Very fast. But they're not fast enough to get on the leaderboard.

You should care abou your grammar. The Acceptable Use Policy dictates that you should use proper and appropriate grammar at all times when using the forums. Which includes the use of capital letters and apostrophes. If you don't want to make the effort, I'm sure the moderators will have something to say about it.

Normally it's Friday to Friday.

Well, TheStig13 has said he won't be here until Sunday, so you've got a little extra time. The times usually have to be submitted by 4pm AEST; if you're GMT+1, then I think that will work out to be 7am local time for you.

You'll also have to use the S2000 cars since you weren't competing last week.
 
@TheStig13 , posted my scores twice. first gave my windows live name (grimmi3) instead of GTPname (grimmi3nl) sorry for that.
Times are the same 2nd form is the right one
 
I'll extend the deadline for another day, as I won't have enough time to organise the next round and get the results put up tonight.

Round 3 - Kenya
This round sees the introduction of the Power Stage to the Dirt 3 Offline Series. The Power Stage does not count for the overall time, rather the top 3 placegetters in the stage score some extra points towards the championship standings


Stage 1 – Taveta Descent, Morning
Stage 2 – Wundanyi Climb, Morning
Stage 3 – Chumvini Rise, Afternoon
Stage 4 – Mwanda, Afternoon
Stage 5 – Tsavo, Night
Power Stage – Garba Tula (Trailblazer – use the BMW Z4 for this), Night

Divisions:
Premier League (Open Class): reyns family, TheStig13, faqoldschool, GTR3mh, grimmi3nl
Minor League ('80's Class): interludes, major_kane, SmittMan, Smart_Roadster, MuchoJimbo

From now on, the results deadline is midnight Saturday GMT. Results and rally details will be posted on Sunday.

(Desperation Ahead>) I would like some pointers, I set the AI difficulty to 5 and came in the top 3 assuming I would have competitive times, but obviously it did no good. I know someone has some tips to at least get me within 20 seconds overall of everyone else.

Correct, you'll start off in the minor league and you may move up next week if you have a good performance.

I enjoy your events too, my opinion is you should increase your events to a few each week instead of 1 per, even though I always come in last :lol: I enjoy the challenges. I always check both yours and Stig on a daily basis, sometimes numerous times.
 
Not to bad! Not knowing where i stand (compared to rest of the competition). Nice to see i'm pretty competitive (i drove s2000 class in finland and only tried 1 evening).
Some stages i almost caught up with the guys in the pro class.

Looking forward to the kenya challenges!

Okay, times submitted. There wasn't any space to include my username, so I made a note of the team I drove for - I was in the OXY BMW M3.

What i always do at first is time trial. That way you can load ghost which everytime 2-3 seconds faster than yours. Continue that routine untill you know the track. Then start singles race, enter the correct wheatertype and behold, you're time has dropped drasticly because you know the track etc.

I'll add you on games for windows live (i'm Grimmi3) than you can race my ghost
 
BTW, for kenya, what do we all consider corner cutting because leaderboard time cuts corner like hell. Difference of seconds.

Just to keep thing fair for the kenya stages.
 
I'm having a lot of trouble on the power stage because when I do modern trailblazer the BMW is the car I normally avoid and it just handles like a rock whilst the Renault is the other way around it handles too well.
