Get an Evo IV from the late 90's car lot (It's a 1996) and apply MFT's tune to it. Lemme get a link...

(No, I don't mind doing advertising for my competitors...)

And if you're hell bent on the VIII, review a car at RCV (In my sig), MFT, or Aussie Tuners and then request it.

Thanks for the free ad!👍

Actually, I'm certain the same setup fits the VIII just well with the exception of gearbox, which is a personal thing anyway. As an interesting note the regular VIII GSR beats the MR handling-wise on tarmac, possibly on dirt too. It's nimbler but a bit slower.

Hmm... I wonder why that is; it would seem as if the lighter MR would be better in all aspects...

Could it be a CG height difference? Doesn't the GSR have a steel roof versus the RS/MR's aluminum roof skin?

The MR edition has a creased aluminum roof for improved rigidity. Other changes include lighter BBS wheels, Bilstein front and rear suspensions, headlight shape is slightly different, full dry carbon decklid and spoiler (only 3kg combined when assembled), rear wing angle is no longer adjustable. The list goes on.

Structurally, aluminum replaces steel in some places, such as the side impact beams. I don't really know what it all amounts to in the game, but in real life, tuners would opt for the Evolution VII/VIII RS instead.

So it's all stuff that would, in theory, work out to improvement in a stock versus stock comparison, correct?

And yes, the RS is lighter and cheaper, but no AYC can be fitted in game, so for me it's a no go. And in real life, I'd never touch a Lancer, so...

The RS trim should already have AYC.
