Lately I've been getting issues with the cursor disappearing at random times while surfing GTP. It's happened in both Firefox and IE7 or IE8 (unsure which) on separate computers. The cursor will just barely flicker into view for a second and go away when moving it. Loading a different page fixes it however.

At first I figured it was just a little glitch with my computer, however it happens on another as well, so I wouldn't doubt that others may be having these same issues.

You may have me stumped on this one. Does the flicker occur on the browser's buttons and tool bars as well, or only when the cursor is over the web page itself?

Only the wepage itself when it happened in IE, I can't remember whether it flickered on the buttons and toolbars in FF because it was about a day ago and I didn't bother to make note of it.

I'm having the same problem. I changed the batteries in my mouse, but that didn't sove it. I noticed that when i right-click to save a picture, the cursor is invisible, but the highlighted portion of the menu shows. I am using Internet Explorer.

Heldenzeit, could you please specify what browser you are using (please include the version number)? Does this issue occur often enough for you guys that you can guarantee it at least once every single time you visit the site? If so, could you try disabling Javascript in Internet Explorer and see if it continues to occur? I'm sure that will resolve it, but at least it will help me troubleshoot...

I am using Version 7 of internet explorer. Odly enough, the issue weems to have gone away over the past few days.:odd: I know I dont sound credible, but there is no issue anymore.

On a side note, I've noticed that sometimes the smileys dont always work. Some of them dont move, nor do some avatars. Does this have something to do with flash? I am really confused about this. I am not 100% computer literate, so I have no idea what some things are. It took me long enough just to figure out what Internet Explorer version I was running.:dunce:

No, avatars and smilies are animated GIF's, not powered by Flash. I do believe that IE7 stops all animations once a link has been clicked - it's just the way that the browser functions. IE6 had similar behavior.

It was happening to me last week, while using Firefox/2.0.0.16.

But the same thing here, the problem seems to have corrected itself. :odd: I'll reply here if it returns and try to provide more detail. 👍
