@Die_Birdy_Die do you mind hosting doing scorekeeping. If two duties are too much I can host or maybe @WIDEeyedDRIVR could( I think I saw him hosting last season)and we can see how that goes tonight. If @TomMang_68 wouldn't mind getting replays and data for tonight that too would be awesome. A lot of new faces here if anyone wants to volunteer for the divisions duties moving forward please post here what you can or are willing to cover. Thanks
 
Ok , I think @Die_Birdy_Die will be fine with scores , toms got his duties if I hear nothing from wideeye before rooms are to be opened I will open and host. Good luck to all racers tonight.

Note: to give ourselves the best chance at a connection issue free night please everyone , reset modems and routers if need be and clear your cache before entering the room tonight. Everyone should be on track somewhere just outside of the pit exit so we can do our head count at 5 minutes to start. We will be starting at exactly 930pm est. Please be on time or early ;)

@WIDEeyedDRIVR is the right man for the job. A very good host. You'll be in good hands with everyone handling the D3 duties and they are reliable.👍

I'm in the process of moving to my new, much larger, place so no racing for me tonight. If all goes good , I'll be back next week. Miss racing with everyone. Have a great night of racing tonight.

I'm going to give it a shot tonight. I rolled my ankle twice on Tuesday night and then did it again yesterday. If it doesn't feel right, I will be leaving early.
 
Hey guys - please take some time and get more creative with your color selections. Out of 13 racers last night we had 4 black cars and 3 red cars

Longer tenured members get priority on body color choice.

Also pick one color and go with it. You shouldn't be running a different color each race. Many guys run without names showing so having consistent color schemes helps to identify who is who on track.

Once you settle on a color please update your choice by filing with the color coordinator via my signature

I quit. It doesn't matter how fast ookla says my internet is, it doesn't matter on Sundays.
 
Having never done data, where do I find the total time for the winner from watching the replay? I must be missing something simple.

It's simple math but, the proverbial PITA to catch the actual values from a replay.

Actually it does, it just isn't on the live timing screen and it's a bit of a PITA to get it. While in replay playback, track the lead car, pause it just after they cross the finish line, the lap time in the middle of the screen will reset and start counting again, for about 1 sec before it resets to the previous lap time, or some other useless value. If you caught it fast enough you can subtract the elapsed lap time from the total time (not total event time) in the upper right corner and go with that. Otherwise, you have to capture it from the results screen during racing. It's a PITA, and why we started asking scorekeepers to capture it during race night.
 
I took pictures of all the qualifying and race results (which has total time). I just didn't have the 1st replay saved (was going to take replay duties on too). After leaving the lobby last night i noticed i had everything i needed for score keeping. The only thing that is missing for data right now is drivers fastest laps for all of last nights races.

I don't mind doing score keeping, data, replay, photos, whatever but it would be nice if we had some regular volunteers too.

Special thanks to @JLBowler for taking on replay upload at the last minute and @whatbadgerseat for helping with the data.
 
I can do the replays on a regular basis. I save them either way so it's just a matter of uploading them.
 
I've edited the first post to more accurately show who we have covering duties and who's covering in case someone's away. If anyone else sees a job they can help us out with , post it here , more volunteers and backups we can have the smoother race nights will be.
 
Wonder if my connection issues are more related to my pc? I did some reading then unselected a bunch of stuff from the startup list in msconfig. My computer certainly is running more efficiently.
 
Hopefully you can get it sorted out. Do you have this problem in a loaded room on Thursdays if/when you practice or just on Sun?
 
It always seems to be on Sundays only. It's really weird. My old PS3 went out not too long ago so when I got the new one I thought my troubles might be gone cuz everything was fine for a short bit. We upgraded our router not too long ago too which helped both the wired and wireless front. My internet speed generally seems pretty good since I upgraded a couple months ago. I always test and get nearly 40DL and over 6UL. I always reset/reboot everything before Sunday events too.
