I agree with OP with some parts, but I think its ok, if people want to spend cash, they can on whatever they like... anyways
my opinion on DLC that its ruining Online gameplay, the best game which does that is COD series, if 10 out of 100 people buy map packs, online gameplay for 90 people is ruined and they stop playing it since "you have fun playing with friends and then NEXT map is what you didnt buy" goodbye, and you get kick.
similar stuff may happen to GT series, if some superb cars will be be as DLC or some tracks, people who dont buy one may have huge disatvantage.. this far what I know is that you CAN play online tracks you dont have.. but this may change and if that happens then GT5 online would be ruined for most part of the players.
I do buy tracks anyways since they are very needed in GT5 due to small count of them.
That's a good point.
But the main reason why I stopped playing MW2 on PC was not the map thing, it was because the game was overfloated by aimbotters & the publisher was totally unable to patch it.
Their problem, they have lost an customer. I haven't purchased any DLC for MW2. And because I couldn't sell the game (key locked to Steam), it was for sure the last CoD title I've purchased.
The other thing is patching bugs can create other bugs.
Not every time, but if you have incompetent programmers or they changing their staff like underwear (while the elite crew are working on the next title), then it's very likely possible crap happens.
Was the same on BC2, but they got the curve. Another good example is Steam, they are really one of the best. And I would say PD are doing as well a good job. 👍
