I have to say that the size of this "car pack" may well mean that if we want to see DLC every two-ish months, we may not get much each time.
Apparently, work is still moving slowly in creating content for GT6 because of the meticulous detail involved. And possibly for features we don't know they're planning. Also, they don't want to give us the really cool stuff made for GT6, so we're likely going to get tasty hors d'oeuves as DLC, while the succulent steak and lobster is reserved for the next Gran Turismo. However, I could see Kaz dropping a few golden eggs into the mix, such as if they got the license for
a certain car manufacturer that a certain game company is hoarding. The explosion this would cause in the game world would be hard to imagine. I know it's kind of brash to bring up like this, but hey, dreaming is fun.
I expect that we'll see classic track packs before anymore major car packs, as these would be easier to make - sub-Premium like Trial Mountain, and fans around the world are clamoring for them. And if this is what you want, I have a post in the Feedback forum, link in my sig, which proposes this very thing. If you like this idea, and who doesn't, give it a few votes. These wouldn't hurt the appearance of new cars, since the team are modeling everything they can get their drawing tablets on, and apparently the classic tracks are something they had in mind anyway.
The only things keeping us from seeing 10 car packs every two months is that PD is only so big, and these cars take months to create. Plus, they have to decide if a car is just too choice a prize to give out as DLC, even if we're paying for it. And keep in mind that the first car pack was so big because it was basically a tweaking of existing content.
I know that some of you are tired of hearing this from us enthusiastic fans, but I'm happy to get anything, and support a company I love.
