I need one!

I make it a point NOT to look at the prize cars list because it ruins the surprise, so I waited and waited... I'm up to 36% and I just completed the American Hall where I THOUGHT I could get it as a prize car, but no!

In frustration i Ctrl-F'ed the prize car list and the DeLorean isn't there, so... should I have searched the B Used Car lot for it? I very rarely went there and even more rarely I went down to the bottom of the list. Can anyone please confirm this?

You win it after you complete Driving Missions 1-10. Good luck on #10, it's next to impossible.

The one with those renault's on the track from the last test of the Ia license? It's tough but not impossible. Just find out when to brake for the turns :) Oh yea, don't hit those cars, either! ;)

[edit]
Oh yea, just a thought, try it in manual mode if you usually run it in auto mode. You can spin it up all the way to the end of the meter before it bounces off the rev limiter, it came in handy going from 5th to 6th.

Also, don't forget to draft when possible. It would be impossible otherwise.

now the skyline challenge....THAT is impossible. i beat 1-10 no sweat on the first tries.

ACgolf
not impossible if u just cut through the middle sand area :)

Well you dont need to cut the course, but Im gonna go off topic a little. I realy am pleased with how well that car handles. I thought it being so old and to top it off an american car for sure I would have touble going in and out of corners but not so I like it alot.

Now remember dont go over 80 MPH you know what happend then........

you mean an ireland car? of course, the same argument applies to whether or not a VW bug is "german" or "mexican", seeing as how their main factory is in mexico...

I just wanted the DMC BTTF version so I could turn a 10 second Nurburgring lap and go pick up some of the used cars I missed, but if there's no Back to the Future option, then FORGET IT! Of course, the challenge then would be to NOT cross the finish line BEFORE you started.

The DMC RULES its handels sweet and gots looks to boot. I have alot of fun on Nurburgring with mine. Plus Mr. DeLorean had a hand in designing my car the Fiero. Which speaking about the Fiero I was dissapointed not to see it but its probably not there cause there are none in Japan. Boy are they missing out.

I have to ask, I'm not trying to flame yea here, but why the love for the DMC?

I don't know about the rest of the folks here, but I just think it's a really cool car. Sure, it may not be a super-speed race car, but it's pretty quick, and handles surprisingly well (no doubt thanks to it's light weight). It's not necessarily fast, but it IS fun. :)

Hehe there are a couple fieros here in Puerto Rico. I've noticed a lot of people kit those things to look like lambos and ferraris.

They should offer a "Back 2 the Future" body kit as a modification.

My friend has a Delorean. He's a big fan of them and helps a guy restore a bunch of them. One day when he finished one the guy was like... well, since you love these cars so much i think you deserve one, and straight up gave him the car!!!

Its a lot of fun. Not really fast or anything like that, but last year in high school (our senior year) we decided to drive to school in it wearing miami vice looking stuff. It was great (i looked like vance straight out of GTA VC with a gray suit, pink collared shirt buttoned half way up with a beater underneath, huge fake gold chain, and silver aviator glasses)
Great experience. DMC is a wonderful thing to experience.

Well then, ford and chevy would be mexican and canadian, and toyota would be American as well as some honda's.

I find it funny that most people agree that Japanese cars are overall more reliable than american , but they want to support american workers.......so they buy Chevy and Ford and MOST (some are) aren't even made in the united states. More Japanese cars are made in the states than American cars.

Ain't that the kicker?

The best way to beat the missions 1-10 is by t-boning the car on the turns. You usualy only get one shot, and whne you get it, just hit him as fast as possible, if you do it correctly, you'll get back on the track quickly and win becauset he cars are identical is speed, ect...

I know its cheap, but it makes things a heck of alot easier...

Yeah the Japanese really dont like the idea of having the interior bursting into flames while driving.

Come to think of it, I dont like that either.

Before the local junkyard went on their crushing spree last year, their were 10 Fiero's, 4 out of ten had nice bodies and charred interiors. The other 6 were wrecked.

Fiero's look nice, but seeing one torched.... well you need to go to a junkyard and have a look. It's a memorable experience. :scared:

However, that torch problem completely goes away when you install a small block; then the cars are just spooky quick, look nice, and dont BBQ you on the interstate. 👍

DMC had a rep for being heavy slugs, whats the in game weight on these cars?

I think they made the DeLorean much better in the game then they did in real life. I've be in those things and to even make it past 70 is a chore. In the game the thing drives like a champ. Oh well I shouldn't complain about them making a car better.

lol on driving mission #10 all you gotta do is just keep going at the chicanes, line yourself up so you dont need to slow down just keep going straight through the sand...=]

Tme DMC company offeres turbo kits and other have installed Caddy Northstar V8's into their cars. So if the car in the game is one of those, anything is possible.

Maybe John DeLorean is still "dealing" and some of the GTA creators is a "customer" so they juiced up his car as a "favor".

He was also behing the GTO.

Some use the poor excuse that it's "Where the money's going"

I'm not even going to go there, most of the time people won't listen any ways. But if you would like to know the answer just read some books.

hey whats the deal with the Fiero? they burst into flames and what not? i've never heard that. (im just asking, not doubting what anyone has said.) someone fill me in please.

The thought is if they were rear ended they caught on fire, which pretty much happens with any rear engine car and just about any car from the 80's. People are just haters of a great little sports car.

why is it great? wasn't it a four banger? whats great about that? what was great about any four banger from the 80's?

They had a V6 model as well I believe, but they weighed nothing, were very nimble, and you could mod the crap out of them. A lot of people now just put V8 Northstars in them and they become nuts.

People just hate on the car for its ugly looks and bad safety. I however like them a lot.
