well i'm 40% through the game. and not once have i seen an ai car crash, take a corner too fast and spin out or some other less than perfect drive. what is going on? are the ai just too good at driving?

I've seen the AI go off the track, make contact with each other and lose control in corners, and generally hold their line the rest of the time in International A. I'd estimate that in 5-10% of the races this has happened.

Never when I've come into contact with them. Have seen one stopped and pointed the wrong direction inbetween Indianapolis and Arnage one time.

I've seen some interesting action at the Willow Springs 20 Mile race (Super Series).

During one of my races, I saw some aggressive racing by the Lambo Gallardo. The Cizeta V16T was just ahead of the Gallardo going into the medium speed left-hander at the top of the course and drifts his way thru the turn. This opens the door (on the inside of the left-hand turn) so the closely following Gallardo dives to the apex of the corner. The sideways Cizeta comes back towards the apex as well........so the Gallardo smacks the Cizeta's left-front fender which causes the Cizeta to spin-out. The Cizeta ends up facing the wrong way on the track and ends up having to do a another 180 thru the sand berm to get going again, while the Gallardo just carries on without a wave.:mischievous:

See you on the tracks!

During one of the enduro races, on the 5-7th lap this AMG GT3 ahead of me refused to pit because I was too close to it and planning to overtake, and its tires were shredded completely, so it took every corner and its back stepped out Formula Drift style every single corner it was hilarious.

I can't say that I have saw them spin out but I have saw them smoking tires, very sideways and off track many times especially in the 20 mile Willow Springs race

Apricot Hill mini enduro, the '63 Corvette race car stayed out a lap longer than he should have. Just as I was catching up to him, smoke boils off the rear tires, and he goes completely around. I had to go wide to keep from hitting him. It was pretty funny.

Yes they do, I witnessed two AI cars racing each other in front of me and one of the ended up spinning out. I was refreshing to see the AI wrecking on rare occasion. It doesn't happen of get but it does happen.

I was on the Nerbergring earlier and I spun out (caught a bit of grass and lost control) anyway the two cars directly behind me tried to avoid hitting me and both of them ended up spinning out also. I was amazed that they even tried to avoid me but it was still funny to see.

I believe a large percentage, if not all of the accidents the AI suffer, are caused by my boundary theorem.

I chased the AI car down on the Apicot Hill 15 laps(?) once and he spun on the long left hander...

Twice for me,
Willow springs 20 mile race a Shelby the dirt and spun into that Alfa Tz3
Causing a funny pile up:lol:

And 5 times out of 10 the ai spin on the first corner of Grand Valley(for me)

I've definitely seen a few go off track - one memorable one though was the Le Mans rain race at IA level, I was coming down the long straight after the Mulsane and suddenly there was a TZ3 spinning crazily ahead of me - I couldn't avoid it, having nowhere enough visibility to see it on time...

Happened to me at Bathurst, lead car was a McLaren MP4-12C close to the end of the high speed straight, hard on the brakes for the left hander after the straight the AI moved into position to take the corner (the AI went too wide) right rear tire clipped the gravel and started to slide....right into 2 other cars. I couldn't believe my eyes! in awe of this moment I completely missed the braking point and slid right into the gravel.

Hi,

@1:40 mark, AI spun. During other laps, some have lost it at Hatzenbach corners. AI mistakes is rather rare... I haven't seen it with any other car/track combo.

Enjoy the ride

Yes but in the dumbest of ways and not very often.

I've seen on a few occasions front heavy cars (usually an Evo VII RS but I have seen others) take off and crash on its nose usually after a steep short elevation change. This happens mostly on Matterhorn by the little underpass. Looks more like a glitch to me than "programmed" variances to the Ai's driving.

Otherwise I like how the AI likes to troll you and punt you off the track when you're leading. That has happened quite often to me at this point.

I saw an AI barrel roll it on Apricot Hill and another spin out simultaneously but I didn't get it on video :( .

after probably over 50 tries i finally spun a nascar in the motegi race. i think the nascars are so hard to wreck in the single player because they run at 70% power. online they spin out with any contact to the rear panel. i think the boost online makes the cars squirrely too

could the AI go any slower lol that looked more like a practice than a race.
